    Man it looks so good with those flares. With the wider tires it's going to look really badass!

    You could also run 2 to 3 degrees of camber in the front and rear and that will help.

  • @lilflip1820
    @lilflip1820 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You could always trim the metal piece of the fender that is normally rolled and you wont have to worry about effecting the flair.

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually thought about that but haven't heard of anyone else doing it. My only worry is that it would become super sharp and cut the tire if it ever rubbed

    • @lilflip1820
      @lilflip1820 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@StreetInspired1 I initially rolled my fenders mildly and still rubbed. So I trimmed the fender the second time because I was scared to "bacon" the fender. The fender is not any sharper.

    Damn i feel like cutting the fenders would be the only way to keep the car low and have flares on

    I've test fitted 18x9 +32 wheels with 245/40/18s tires on stock suspension, and I'm getting a slight poke. I'm curious as to how much wheel well did that OLM S209 kit add to each fender? I am seriously thinking about getting this kit.
    BTW, subscribed.

    • @StreetInspired1

      It adds 3/4 of an inch or about 20mm

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would call it "Hella gap" if you skip to 8:10 you'll see there isn't much gap at all.

    That’s the worst you’ll ever get on the rear. I’ve had the same 25mm spacer on my 2020 for over 6,000. I wouldn’t even bother rolling them. You’ll probably do more damage. I’m also on the tien type s lowering spring. And for some reason they rubbed more when I wasn’t lowered.

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe ill let it go then! I've driven it probably 100 miles more since the video and it hasn't rubbed but maybe once again since.

    • @ericdavisii3912
      @ericdavisii3912 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wonder if that's because the stance of wheel changes when lowered so it tucks in more

    how is the body kit holding up with just the 3M tape?

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Been on the car over 2 months now and they're still holding up great and we've head some fluctuating cold and hot weather, some rain and these things have seen quite a bit of highway speed.

      I will also have a set of STI wheels with less than 500 miles on them as soon as my TE37s get here. Anyway get back at me, I'd like to get back around some subbi people, sold my 04 STi back in 07 and was definitely in the top 3 worst mistakes I've ever made.

    If you roll it wouldn’t it mess up the flares?

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can. Thats what I'm worried about. Shouldnt really damage them, but can make them not line up right. So if I roll them I'm going to have to be very careful. Im hoping the smaller sidewall tire will fix the minor rubbing

    • @Linked_Ahead
      @Linked_Ahead 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rolling won't, but pulling will. Just need an experienced person to do it who knows these fenders. The fronts are thinner (obv) and have a u shape to them, so you can't get that v type bent to them to make them that much thinner and flatter. The rears are L shaped so you can really pinch them together and gain like 1mm-1.5mm of space or something like that

  • @mr.nobody5028

    Do the oem fender emblems fit the new flares?

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not without some kind of modification. But in theory if you heat them up and cut the tabs off the back they should mold to the shape. But the flare peice is actually supposed to go overtop of the factory badge.
