- It's the end of April, which means it's almost Christmas! Only 8 months to go! So an excellent moment for a Pastorale with a bit of a Christmas feel. A beautiful little composition from an unknown composer, dedicated to an unknown mayor (Angelo Gambare) from an unknown city. I couldn’t find anything about this composer. mayor or city. The piece hs to be played Andante with n acceleration towards the end. Well, I hope you like this one! Merry Early or Late Christmas. :-)

What a sweet Pastorale! All I could find out about Giovanni Battista Medaglia was that he was born in 1787 and died in 1854. You play this composition with great charm, Rien, so that he is no longer forgotten (unlike Angelo Gambare!): bravo

My suggestion: add a few more ornamentations and it sounds like the birds in spring I can hear here every day. Then it's a spring piece, no Christmas anymore.

Ik weet niet hoeveel mensen hun instrument aan de wilgen gehangen hebben doordat ze van die Czerny boeken moesten gaan spelen 🙂 Staan er hier een paar in de kast van mijn vrouw... Maar ik snap wat je bedoeld. Zitten wat mooie figuren in die wel wat herkenning oproepen.
