As someone who is currently slowly turning an Eulogy into a cruise ship capable of clearing a mission board of all cargo and personal transport missions, I fully support this video.
You motivated me to fix another of this up, the interior is beautiful now, I followed some of your suggestions and they were very helpful. I upgraded the engines and was able to get six of the Walter engines on her, removed the giant fuel tanks, and replaced it with those square ones that hold 210 each. After the engines and weapons and shield upgrades you'll need three more landing gears. But it's still flying brick but she's at 100 mobility and the interior is beautiful. It was funny after watching your video, two of them landed near one of my outposts, so they were liberated and I sold one and built the other.
Before the update I scored a Revelation 2 for the 1st time and it was pretty solid. I also prefer my bay in the front and it seems like I have to change it on every Va'ruun ship I steal. I love getting the Hymn early on because it converts to class b so well.
Nicely done, I can't begin to tell you how much money I've spent trying to make this flying brick to less ugly, and less confusing on the inside. Trying to get the mobility up, it's hard to get it to look right with big C engines. I usually end up selling it after I'm done because I'm just not liking it. But you've made that inside freaking awesome, makes flying a brick worth it.
Wouldn't that disrupt the whole 'block of cheese' aesthetic? :) I actually think with that and another minor change you could end up with a single ladder configuration too. For a three deck ship that could be awesome.
I re-vamped a ship after the update and I ended up with 2 "security/security crew members" as part of my crew... BUT i didn't hire, nor assign them.. I originally thought it might have been related to using one of the 3x3 mess halls (as I had never used them in a build before).. I'm still stumped.
If I’m remembering how the commerce skill works, it takes 20% off the total price, the total ends up being 119,317 credits (rounding up) without the commerce skill. Assuming I did that math right.
You've got the right idea, but I'll just note that the total is the 'net' of selling and buying ship parts at each stop. I should get 22% discount when buying and sell at 27% higher than the normal 12.5% of face value for items. By the end, it's almost impossible to determine my net discount on the aggregate transactions. So if you have Rank 4 Commerce and Kryx's magazine perk, your costs should be the same as mine. Otherwise I just know they will be higher by at least 20%. As you sell off unneeded parts, you will be getting slightly less money back than I do as well. That will nudge your overall cost a little higher too.
Very interesting. edit: I guess I should add, not surprising at this point. ;) I've had some strange effects after a ship overhaul where my hot keys stopped working or every time I left a specific ship I left in Stealth mode (crouched down and creeping). It's like a game on top of a game (what will happen next?).
@@kineer Question. I’m a ship builder noob, sorry. I swapped out the empty Stroud armory for the normal one. When I did, there then was a ladder spanning all three decks from the armory up. Why would this happen?
I can't really say and consider ship building to be a bit of an dark art. There's a routing algorithm cooked into the game that makes decisions based on the hab, everything around it. With enough experimentation some have come up with basic rules for how it seems to work. I approach it as trial and error, saving often. Over time gaining a bit of intuition on what might work. At times asking exactly what you asked, "Why did that happen?" I tried one of those habs and got a three deck ladder. Some people like minimizing the total number of ladders on a ship. I rarely climb them and use boost packs so I usually like more single ladders spread out.
Do you have a video like this on making the longsword not a maze to get through? I think its odd how you have to go through a maze just to get to the flight deck to fly the ship.
I hope this process works the same for any level of Prophesy. I know my Claymore builds largely worked on all three. All came down to how much/little cash on hand at different levels.
I fo;;owed your rebuilds for the Hyena III & Prophesy III only major difference in both is I hate the Non Tiki Bridge so I used the Deimos Ares Bridge on both
That's a great bridge. I'm not a long term Tiki user, but I'm giving them a try for now. Some of that is aesthetic consistency with the ship source. Some is irrelevant headcanon I'm enjoying for now. :) Thanks for watching!
What problem with 'crew stats' do you believe I have? Ship will support 7 crew as is. I have 8 on another ship, but honestly the last one has no ship specific benefit. I just bring them along for the banter.
I have a Crimson Fleet Wight III that I captured and it is a huge maze inside. I want to redo it so it is more straight forward to move around in, but is there an easy way to figure out where doors are going to be?
One way to force the position of ladders is to put an equipment plate on the lower hab where you DON'T want the ladder and glitch the upper hab into place. You can do the same thing with doors, but it requires the use of a weapons mount or porthole, both of which clip through to the neighboring hab.
Most of them were low level around Serpentis. I captured this ship in that system so I test there with the default weapons and shield. It might be more challenging around Hyugens or Bohr (level 75).
Aha, my apologies. Serpentis is a level 55 system and it's where that ship can be found. I rushed past that. I have characters ranging from 5-17 (4), as well as a non-NG+ 103 and a NG+5 146. I would not take the 17 out to Serpentis. A fair amount of what I fought could be challenging. That said, I have taken level 12 characters to onto level 30 systems to hunt ships on the ground. The enemies inside the ships seem to be fairly well level-matched. Often one boss style enemy on a ship that's a few levels above me. th-cam.com/video/Cq2-f7XXwkY/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Cho. I started this channel focusing on NG+ content just because that's where I was at the time. With the May Update, I've added more for new and returning players so I appreciate the reminder that sometimes I gloss over things. Thanks for the sub!
I love the new update but I want the land vehicle. I love the larger Ships I just can't do the ship building I just have a hard time building Ships so I stopped trying. I just do a bunch of bounty hunts and save a lot of credits and buy Ships.
Ship building is still picky. The UI is tricky and there's something really weird going on at Hopetown at times. Probably why I steal ships, mod them vs. build from the ground up for now. Hoping in another patch or two that will all settle down. :/
As someone who is currently slowly turning an Eulogy into a cruise ship capable of clearing a mission board of all cargo and personal transport missions, I fully support this video.
This is an awesome build. I like to take existing ships and tweak them to get a more rational layout like what you’ve done here. Nice work!
Many options from this point. I held this in inventory for too long and didn't use it, but now I could build a house in it. :P
Interesting , I just captured a Va'Ruun Prophey II . Thank You for the reminder how important Ship moding is
I want to try the same build on a II (or I). Hope it helps!

I like all the Va'Ruun ships, especially for early characters.
I like to remove a nose cap and glitch a Viking cockpit in its place. Sometimes offset it to the right side.
I'll have to look into that. That and changing the Armory can lead to a single ladder design (which can be good for a stacked ship like this).

I'm glad I ran across this video. I just captured one of these and wasn't sure what to do with it. I'm definitely giving it a makeover now!
If you have the money and skill points for ship design, you can trick it out with excellent engines, and more.
Good video with a lot of ideas for changing some of my ships. Thanks
Excellent presentation, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gonna try this later but one thing id change is one of nose cap on top in the middle for a stroud cockpit and remove the kontiki
Wouldn't that disrupt the whole 'block of cheese' aesthetic? :) I actually think with that and another minor change you could end up with a single ladder configuration too. For a three deck ship that could be awesome.
I find your comments about my religion and my people both unamusing and offensive.

Seriously, nice ship. I'm sold and subbing.
I wish starfield would give us 😅more decorations Thanks for the vid!

Something kinda strange - my 2x2 battlestation turned up empty! Weird. But this is a nice renovation. The P3 is an awesome ship!
I didn't even look. Was it accidentally empty or did you find an "Empty" version?
@@kineer I found it empty after completing your renovations. I swapped it out for the Deimos 2x2 battle station and everything is as it should be.

Sorry haven't captured enough of those to do a retrofit video. Sounds like a good idea if I can find a reliable way to grab them.
