Man love this video. Wish there were more like it on TH-cam. Miss the music that used to be on it. It is relaxing watching this guy. We lay over the line but I love the way he lays. I’m sitting on vacation watching him lay 12s like poetry and just chillin. Mad respect. Smooth brother smooth!
Thanks Man.
Yeah where did the music go?
Come from generations of masons. I must say, you paint portraits with your trowel. Amazingly clean and precise. The one handing 12s is crazy as well. But strength is strength the trowel skill is most impressive. Awesome display of skills.
Thanks man, I appreciate that!
this guy is unreal....the way he handles that trowel is amazing. well done
that's years and years of technique right there. not a wasted movement. It took me a long time before I could wrap all of the Technique's I learned over the years into one single 8-hour day. cool video
Thanks man
37 years stacking rocks & blocks never seen better than this guy smooth as butter and strong as an Ox one handing 12s!!!
Dude, right? I thought the same thing.
Thanks guys appreciate that.
He’s super smooth and clean. I can’t lift those 12” block with one hand anymore, I’m jealous.
Used to watch this as an apprentice and Copy the way how clean and smooth this work is . Awesome
Thanks man hope it helped you out
As a former brick layer myself, great job sir, well done, nice and clean just the way I like it done myself. Kinda miss it now, watching this video, good old times
This guy knows how to lay block Skill right there.
This is by far the best mason I’ve seen with these specific blocks. Very impressive. Light weight block, tight beds and heads but still very impressive
Thanks sir
One handing 12's... Respect!
Fucking so strong
He's either got forearms like Popeye or they make really light block in Colorado! Regardless, smooth technique, clean work.
Lol
@@SolidworksUnlimited i've only ever spread mud with the back of my trowel in tight spaces or over head. I might have to give it a try. Seems to be quick for you, since you don't have tonturn your arm
The main reason I started doing it was because of tight wrists and it made them sore to twist so much, turned out OK after some practice now it's just how it flows naturally.
Very impressive, I’m a financial person but I’m in awe of people with these skills.
i know Im kinda off topic but do anyone know a good place to watch newly released tv shows online?
Kudos to that mason and hod carrier. Plenty of block, mortar, rebar etc. I can see years of experience in the motion of that trowel. Much respect.
This guy is strong! He must have large wrist big hands and massives forearms !💪
Not quite sure how many times I have watched this.... pure skill
This is the best block laying video on the Internet. This is poetry in motion!!! Please put the music back!! Amazing amazing amazing!!! Great job sir!!!💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍
Wow, thank you, I'll see what I can do on the music, probably won't be able to do the same song as the original, but I might be able to find something that's acceptable. 👍👍
Nice
Spreading perfect
Handling the block efficiency
Setting the block on the bed joint craftsmanship
Picking the edges mortar you sit on the head joint
He ended right on the control joint
I’ll give him an A plus
Nice to see a real blocklayer instead of the usual hacks on a you tube video...Very impressed with this dudes skill...One handing 12 inch block all day is bad ass.Not to mention the mortar is perfect for blocklaying...IMHO.
Yea... The mortar is very important
c dawg 10 inch block man
Everytime I go from restoration to new construction companies, I come and watch your video, so relaxing 😌
Awesome! Thank you! I'm Super glad you enjoy it.
Have seen this video a few times and it doesn't get old watching a true mason with serious skills lay down some block with ease--especially a 12'' cmu at about 50+ lbs ea
Thanks, I appreciate that
Very clean and so consistent. Amazing job.
Effortless, clean, tidy, quick. Awesome
That’s the best I’ve seen in years.
One handing 12s like a beast! You need a job come work for me

この手際が素晴らしすぎる
I'm glad it helped you out, thanks for watching.
I have to know how you are getting that head joint mud to stick with one swipe? Rich mud mix? Very impressive skills
Start at the hilt of the trowel as you go up the block twist the trowel at the top of the block sealing it to the block
This guy knows wtf he os doing for sure gopd job mate.... doesnt even have to cross webs good work

I had never laid 12s or neither carried them to the stack and i have to say this guy is strong as hell I'm a big dude i started last week building two walls for a school and i have to use both hands right now im sore as hell.
lol thanks, keep at it.
nice work no wasted motion
not many
Smooth as butter.
more than you for
sure@@408Magenta
The only potential waste I see (as somebody with zero block laying experience) is applying mortar to the block while holding it in the air. It seems to be a waste of strength/energy. Not that this dude needs my input.
@@ajtweb Could be a bit more technique to it than we realize?
ahhhh much better.....Just came back from watching a cinder block laying in Vietnam...
this is amazing to watch
This guy is a beast!!
Lol
No soy albañil pero me gusta como trabaja de limpio el amigo y no desperdicia la mescla 👍👌
Great work.
This guy makes it look easy. True craftsman right there.
Damn if he doesn't make it look easy-clean as a Safeway chicken!
Making that 52lbs look easy! :)
Laying 12s for 7 days makes one weak 😃
I've done stucco masonry for over 20 years and I dable in learning block. I remember seeing your video years ago and I keep coming back to it to see your poetry in motion. You were made for this trade brother. Is that wrist trowel action to get the mud to stick on first swipe or is it a rich mix mud? I have to know the secret to that please.
It's both, but if you don't have good mortar in the trade you still have to be able to make it stick to be effective and fast. Type S mortar is a lot better than type N maybe that's part of your trouble getting it to stick.
@@SolidworksUnlimited Yes sir, In stucco plastering we tell the mixer to mix rich for ceiling work. And a type S is similar if not the same as our standard 3-1 stucco mix. I'll get it with practice I'm sure. Thank you sir
That is what you call skill
Yeah, dude is good. I like the double butter.
Superb flow.
Good work , Sir
Thanks man
Are they 12 inch blocks that weigh in around 55 lb or are they lighter blocks made from light weight aggregate like expanded clay .
I'm curious as to why no mortar in the middle section of the brick though? I'm not questioning this guy's skill, its obvious he's a pro! Just trying to learn why he isn't battering up the short side of the brick (along its face, and also top and bottom)? You obviously save a lot of mortar, but wouldn't it be stronger to cover the entire surface of the two bricks touching side by side?
Nice technique
Love watching skilled workers. Was waiting for the camera person to walk off the end of the scaffold. Jk. Nice job.
Hey my brother saw that comment lol
Agreed. I would love a couple of pointers
I've finally uploaded some more videos, going to be doing it weekly now.

Excelente manejó de la cuchara.
Gracious. :D
Top class work and speed 👍👍
Wow nice job
Construção cada vez mais moderna
One handing 12s like Beast
This Journeyman is AWESOME !
Skills pay the bills
What's your mud mix? Looks extra nice and sticky
type S Spec mix
Makes it look so easy I'm averaging 1 block ever 11 minutes
vid.muito bom gostei da tecnica de trabalha c/ a colher valeu.
thats 12 inch block this guy is laying them with one had wow hes got some serious strength in that arm
What happened to the music that was on this video? I loved watching a skilled craftsman doing his thing whilst listening to that country violin sound.
It was copyright protected so I had to remove it, sorry about that.
@@SolidworksUnlimited what was the name of the track if you do not mind me asking??
@@m1as3900 The hard drive I had it on crashed, couldn't retrieve the files, but if my memory servers me correctly it was blue grass country and the song was heartland. Hope this helps
Nice style of laying .....
I'm a beginner.....why is mortar mix only applied to the outside edges but not the center..?
It's not really necessary, but it's fine to put it there, some say it's better with some say it's better without so the grout can flow in there, but not required either way by the building codes.
Hi ! How many kilos or lb this block? Thank you in advance for your reply!!
It's about 38 lbs
Sencillamente es un maestro ...
Love this
Thank you! glad you enjoyed it.
Good job
Good mechanic
Man this guy has some big 💪💪💪👍
Lol
Poetry right folks! I also heard those aren't lightweight 12" either. So this man could tear your arm off!
Nope no tearing arms lol
Phenomenal
Thanks 👍
sube mas videos, con este aestro, que nos de un tutorial, tips, buenas practicas, para los que queremos enseñarnos, gracias.
No aga caso alos comentarios negativos. Ust es un profesional con la cuchara y el Block .No es cantidad es calidad y técnica
He laid 10 block in 5 minutes. At that rate it's 960 in an 8 hour day LOL
I'd like about 10 dollars a block at that rate lol
Some upside down bond beams in there, grouting solid I guess.
