He does….but I wonder about the other people in AJs close circle are the same…his corner was telling him he was ahead which he clearly wasn’t…I’d say there are a few to many Yes men in his inner circle blowing smoke up his ass….not least Hearn. His commentary on the Ukraine situation was embarrassing and hints at a man in such a bubble that he’s really not in a good place mentally and hasn’t been for a long time….the pressure just gets to him.

It wasn't just words though, he also hijacked two of Usyk's belts and threw them out of the ring. Absolutely poor sportsmanship. @@MayorSom he's pointing out how silly it is to spoil joshua by claiming he's under pressure, when the guy's just a rich man from a wealthy, peaceful country with zero problems in his life, while usyk's country is literally under attack.
I'm aware that most folks have never been through any real hardship, so you, for example, are ignorant of what it's like and are unable to empathize with usyk, but claiming joshua is under pressure while dismissing usyk's situation is just too much ignorance.

Big respect to Frazer Clarke here, especially being a mate of AJ's to be so honest, absolutely spot on in that it was Usyk's time - who knows what he might have had planned considering what his country is going through.
I'm not a big AJ fan for a few reasons and thought this was typical of him in some respects, however it was still outlandish and strange to the point that I think he really needs a big reset - I think it could be the best thing for him that he is not expected to be the best anymore, if he sees it correctly.

He’s not able for the pressure anymore..he couldn’t deal with it in the MSG or the first Usyk fight…he pretty much admitted that he cracked in the the post fight interview…he needs to accept that he is not the champion anymore now…he will get another shot down the line as belts are vacated and he still is only 32. AJ's a confidence fighter, he needs that kind of over-praising and constant enabling. But his team are actually exploiting him, for example Rob took all the credit for him beating Ruiz in the 2nd fight even though Ruiz beat himself before he got in the ring.
Same thing happened with Floyd Mayweather, they all claim they "had the blueprint" and made him succesful, they had to do that to keep their hands in his pocket so they could keep taking money out of his pocket.

It was the realization that he simply wasn't good enough at the very tip-top level. He tried his best, but couldn't do it. Usyk and Fury are at a level that Anthony will never reach. There is nothing wrong with it. Joshua never ducks anyone but in boxing, sometimes you come up short. There are only a few fighters out there in all the divisions that can be considered true greats...and Usyk is one of them. 116-112 is actually very fair to Anthony..he only won 4 rounds all night..and that's only 1 round better than the last time he fought the likeable Ukrainian lad.

How is fury at that level with wins over Deontay who can't box and Dillian, who almost lost to Chisora? Fury hasn't proven himself at all.

@@alexboultonboxing6489 I disagree. Fury does have some quite exceptional skills. I didn't like him at first but, he can really box and fight too.

Sadly, this was years and years of playing a character, always saying the right thing, always being this guy, finally cracked.....it was just to much for him.
Like they said, he didn't say anything horrible, just very weird. Tbh, I think he had a bit of breakdown, all that pressure finally gave in, he, for the first time in years could drop this persona

Let’s be hones, Joshua will never beat usyk. Maybe 1/10 times if they fought but usyk is just on another level. Not like insanely better but definitely better and stylistically over 12, Joshua is as good. He a few moments but even them moments were countered by usyk throughout the fight
