I recently visited an animal charity in Kharkiv. They had a policy of never putting down an animal. My guide told of a dog with a broken back that was successfully fostered out to a German family. My guide said that even this dog deserved a chance of life.
Yes, rabies is a problem, as is the large number of stray and increasingly, feral dogs.
@@sebastianforbes1Yes. Exactly. That's what everyone believes.
@@sebastianforbes1 And the people too? They, too, suffer every day.
That city is plagued with stray dogs even before the war. This policy is a problem not a solution...
Always an extreme example is used. Animals didn't have a choice as well as 90% of the people.
These podcasts are superb. I listen every day. Thanks to all involved.
As off the wall as it seems... Cameron as a non elected rep, could continue to play an important role given his network of contacts and relative success WRT diplomatic efforts for Ukraine?? At the end of the day our Ukraine position should not be overly defined by party politics. Lets do the best thing rather than the politcs thing.
Its wonderful that these people are looking after pets. I just cant listen further. Its just a tragic situation. Horrible.
They were described as the Ukrainian animal population /not/ pets
in Ukraine some "People", are of a different ethnicity, a different church, and a different species🤗
@abot5381 It's Ukraine's population that has really fallen. But the environment is devastated. It was easy to avoid this war.
Don’t listen. Help.
@toughr1506 We shall. We are selling our house and moving. When we are in the new house, I promise we will. Right now we are in transition, and spending a fortune. We have 5 dogs to move 3500km. And the rest. But I make the commitment that when the house is sold, in the next month, it will be done.

@Saleemsan Not about the person, just that voice jarred so. Just that it came day in day out and I too found the monotony of it getting annoying.
And no, have not heard Tony Blair‘s voice in an age.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who found it cringe-worthy.

For the same reason that someone "puts up" with anything beneficial to their well being. Slovaks feel the same, as do an increasing number of French - hence the strong performance of Marine Le Pen

About Trump, remember that he met with Orban a few months ago when Orban was in the US.
And don't forget the only russian government plane to fly to the west in the last two years.
Conveniently parked next to trumps plane in Dallas last week.
Their IS a link between them all.... and I guarantee it is money from russia...
I WONDER IF ORBAN AFTER MEETING TRUMP, IS serving AS the messenger boy, between these two.
Orban and Trump.
Two autocrats.
Two fascists.
Trump and Carlson have visited Orban in Hungry earlier on in this war. Trump has praised Orban enthusiastically too.
But neither interested in visiting war torn Ukraine.
I believe Trump would love to visit Putin, but is more worried about that image to actually go.
Huge wonder what the Russian diplomatic Plane parked alongside Trump‘s private plane recently was all about.
It appears the slow bleeding of Russian resources is working. 😮
Russia is stronger now than at the start of the SMO.
Ukraine is being destroyed. They have been used by NATO and US corporations. They lose now whatever happens.
What a great democracy Britain has a party that gets 14 % of the vote gets 4 seats and the other gets 12 % and keeps 70 seats
Except, that party that got 72 seats has always argued for the system to change, and it continues to do so.
well come to zionism controlled west
why doesnt any western leader condemn israel?
answer, zionist lobby controls western foreign policy. The people running this channel are zionists, they will on report bad things about israel when the evidence is so overwhelming that if they ignore it, they'd have zero credibility
Sick, but that would never happen in Russia, oh... and France is just as bad.

God bless England for showing us what a peaceful transition of power should look like!
A video is being actively discussed on the social network X, in which a serviceman of the 137th separate battalion of the Ukrainian Marine Corps with amputated legs says that compensation for limbs torn off in battles is 1.5 thousand hryvnia ($37) per month.
The unit's military unit number, A3821, is also clearly visible in the frame.
This formation actively participated in the attempts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to force the Dnieper and gain a foothold on the left bank, but, like the rest of the units and formations of the Ukrainian army, it was almost completely destroyed.

Zelenski says the Russians will be invited to the next Peace Summit because he figures Putinpot will be toast by then. I say this because Zelenski still says that he refuses talks with the existing regime.
the same Zelensky that recently finally whined that the Ukrainian military losses are too much to handle, eh? More like desperation finally kicked in and clown in chief finally recognised that he can't steal international aid for long before his fascistic regime will fall.
Meanwhile Ukraine is in a slow motion collapse, the front line gets weaker with every Russian advance.
Talking about France people tend to focalize on the far right when talking about questioning the French support to Ukraine but far right bardella never said anything about stopping the French support to Ukraine on the other hand the leader of the far left group called LFI also prominent figure of the newest left leaning coalition NFP Mélenchon publicly said multiple times that France shouldn't support Ukraine because our support escalate the conflict and in addition he told multiple times that NATO was totally responsible for the Ukrainian war, but for some reasons people outside of France speaks rarely about that fact and even more concerning I saw multiple Ukrainian supporters cheering about the NFP coalition "winning" the last French legislative elections.

Cameron was short lived in his role, but did an incredible service. Sorry to see him go.
Service? He will be known in history books as a PM who launched Brexit referendum. What kind of service is that?
Democracy currently under pressure, I think Starmer will be sound in mounting the defence but also think he will need all the help he can get. Cameron, Sunak and even Johnson could be resources he could tap particularly in ambassadorial roles.
That's clever, replacing bits and pieces of the intro as the war goes on. Very cringey of me to say, but in the west, anything that keeps people tuning in like “easter eggs” is good for keeping support strong for Ukraine.
Wars are very much evolving things. One chapter ends, another begins.

Regarding Francis’ points made just past 11:00…Comparing fringe political positions’ power brokering effectiveness in a parliamentary system to the system in the US is apples to oranges. Arguably the dysfunction ongoing in the US political system is primarily due to the exercise of parliamentary politics in Congress. This parliamentary tact was first used by Newt Gingrich in the late 1980s, and Congress has been on a downhill roll ever since.

Is rabies a manditory vaccine in Ukraine?
It is in mainland Europe, so could well be. Wild Animals do not know boarders. And in Europe there is a certain amount of resistance/carriers within their wild animal kingdom.
We are the exception here on our island. Hense our quarantine laws. Pets can be vaccinated, but the wild life is at risk, which in turn threatens our livestock, pets and all our animals.
It is ironic that Stamer is an old 'Socialist', formally a leading Trotskyist, he is facing off against Putin who is some sort of keleptocratic dictator like Brechnev. Almost like a new russian civil war ;)
Starmer was more left wing when he was younger, which is not uncommon. Today, he is realistic and extremely results oriented - which is a very good thing.

There may need to be a middle ground 50/50 using both systems maybe, but neither system alone is 100% fair in my opinion.

Russia can't even defeat the weakest army in Europe
NATO? BTW-members of NATO are not exclusively European. Before SMO, Ukraine had the STRONGEST army in Europe. Russian role has been to degrade it (and NATO countries) despite the massive infusions of money, ammunition, equipment and weaponry as well as training, intelligence and ISR. Currently Ukraine is losing over 2000 personnel daily which means around 60,000 monthly. Zelensky's expected mobilisation and training of 50,000 will not even cover last month losses and he has scraped the bottom of barrel this time.
