My best mates mum had one at school… all I remember is how clunky the gear shift was on the steering and how the roof leaked in the winter. I am sure with the right amount of Vin the 2CV has a certain charm 🍷great video as always 👍🏻🙌🏻
My old head mistress had one, so did her husband and I think they bought one for the daughter also. I think they must have been under some kind of mass hysteria 😆😂👍

Be careful of corners as it curved to roll especially on a rally 😆😂👍

Well we need the chassis for the NSU TT so it would cause an issue. To be honest I have not watched a single episode of Top Gear since they sacked Clarkson, Grand Tour all the way for me now 👍😂

Yes I agree that the 2CV does not have the classic charm of those others but your Tamiya version does look really good zipping about. As I think we discussed before the handling is nothing like the actual car which leaned alarmingly in the bends. Great vid guys. Best wishes to you :-)

I couldn't imagine ever owning or even wanting to drive a real one but this tiny one does a certain quirky charm to I like. I think mostly since it was done in such a good looking blue paint scheme and the black and blue work really well together! Big one is a thumbs down but I have to give this little blue one a thumbs up!!!
It’s almost like a sample the small one. When you are in Costco or so on and they give you something on a tiny stick, that tastes ok then and there, but when you buy a sack and cook it at home it tastes like cat food. The big one is the cat food tasting one 😆😂👍

I'm tempted by the kit as I've not built that chassis yet (new RC'er me!) and, unlike the full sized car, it does look quite cute and fun. But also there is the urge to upgrade the motor a ways and maybe whack some wide wheels on eventually. Love your paint scheme, blue works really well.
With this one the chassis was bought with the NSU TT and we knew someone that had the 2CV body, so we took that to run as an alternative shell. The blue looks good on it, I just find it hard with the shape of the shell. It might look cool on something like the Blitzer chassis if it fits 🤔👍
Terrific, though I am pretty sure your real love for the 2cv was hidden in the intro, I just know it. After having spent my childhood being carted around in several different 2cvs, i must say they are amazing. Especially over loose sand. I really think tamiya should release one with proper narrow wheels ( white walls) and crazy suspension. Thanks!
In complete transparency my first car was French, a Renault though. If Tamiya did make the chassis like the real one I guess you would only get 1 screw 😆😂👍
I have the m05ra 2cv on my build pile, and I want a real early one with it's removable picnic chairs 🤣

Hi there and I must admit ‘Je n'aime pas des Citroen’ either😂😂😂 it just seems that as you say they are on the ‘Vin’ or something, or maybe it’s because in general, the French are well……a bit short on looks altogether 😂🤣😂. Still I think they make a little bit of ground up, with some of the Renault models, but still don’t seem to get it right, all of the time. Perhaps they need to do what the Koreans have done, poach some designers from the VAG group 😉😁😊 great video though, sorry that it didn’t make it to the sea 😁take care and best wishes 😉😊😁
Yes there is something odd going on at Citroen! I must admit when Daewoo started pumping out the old style Astra I had to laugh. I’m sure this 2CV can meet an accident, I’m sure if it 😈😂👍

Why do people like the 2CV? I also will never understand. Especially the "pistol knob gear shift" (1:1 translation from german, dont know if you use this word) is so cuious and strange. But, back in the days, the 2CV was a very cheap car for us driving beginners and it was the cheapest way to get some kind of a convertible car 😎 Beside from that, I like your RC 2CV. The paintjob looks really good. If you dont like it, you can try to bash the hell out of it (if this should be possible) and replace the body to a VW Beetle 👍
I’m not sure what it’s called apart from awkward 😂 I think the Citroen logo shape has something to do with the transmission also 😆 I do much prefer the beetle 😆👍
We never had those in the USA the real ones anyway.

at least the Tamiya one is not made of corrugated tin 😉

This kit is really cheap in Japan 🇯🇵 and the Japanese don’t like it , I wonder why? 😁👊🏻👍🏻
I think this kit is quite cheap most places. I think the person at Tamiya that suggested putting it into production has a sign around their neck saying ‘SHAME’ 😆😂👍
