I kinda love the idea that Petaly knows he’s supposed to be referring to a fourth wall of sorts, and he’s supposed to be (at least) sorta aware of the player, but because all he got was the script and no _soul_ to follow, he doesn’t know what any of the fourth wall breaking means. What player?” P: “*… I uh…” P: “* Just gimme a moment!” Normal route dialogue: *… it’s probably best to leave him alone for now. Weird route dialogue: *… he hasn’t found us yet.
It’s kind of an opposite of the other secret bosses. Spamton and Jevil went insane because of the knowledge they gained of the world. I’m guessing Petaly is insane from the lack of information he has about the world, desperately trying to reference something he doesn’t understand.

Ralsei’s never really had much reaction to the secret bosses, brushing them off as just some puzzle pieces out of place. I think Petaly should be the one to really get on his nerves and test his composure, really instilling a feeling of confusion, disgust, and indignance in him. Petaly’s desperate for attention more than anything, and so he’d constantly try to take your focus away from the main plot that Ralsei’s trying to guide you though. Petaly’s a “deliberate bastardization of Flowey in every way”, and Ralsei fills kind of a similar role in relation to both Asriel and Flowey, so it’d make sense for the two to be constantly vying for your attention.

I love the thought process that seemed to go into this dude in the main drafting thread. It's a "bastardization" of Flowey as the creator says, but in the sense that he still hits all the notes and horror theming, but in different enough ways where it adds an element of discomfort to Petaly. Like, you would think he is actively trying to take Flowey's place in your heart if it wasn't for the fact that he lacks the self-awareness to function on that level. As in, the "Video game character that knows you're messing with them" self-awareness. And this song - both the original and your cover - fit that perfectly. The sound, the visuals, everything captures a lot of what I saw there in here. It's a lot of Flowey's ideas and concepts but the chair is tilted forward enough to make it uncomfortable.
Honestly with how the petals look like messy blond hair I didn't notice he was a flower for a little bit since he just looked a bit like a flamboyant cowboy

I really like the end bit with the laughter I could see it translating into gameplay by having Petaly first laugh inside the battle box, then bursting its sides with their arms and lastly (the bit with the red eyes) using the bottom and top border as part of their teeth and crushing the soul if we don't escape through the destroyed side borders
Wasn't signed in when I first saw this so I figured I'd give My thoughts now... HOLY MOTHER OF HELL THIS IS AMAZING!!! I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN! So I'll just list what I LOVE about this. Firstly, The Art/Animation is OFF THE CHARTS with the freakishly fluid Petaly head bopping, The Lights and TV's swaying, The Usage of the Friendliness Pellets, The Shadow Man popping off, the Story Telling in the Shadow Man Part and Super neat transistions between scenes. Secondly, All the Easter Eggs and References. Like The Flowey/OMEGA Flowey References, The Petaly & Flowery Crossover, The Petaly & Charkis Battle From the OC Tournament, and Many More that My Mind is blanking on. Thirdly, THE MUSIC WOW!!! This Adds so much to the Original song and takes it in a completely different direction and the SAX SOLO 10/10. Overall, This was PHENOMENAL!!! This is definitely One of Your Best Works yet (Not that I wish to imply that Your Previous Works weren't already Perfect). 10/10 All Around.

So ima just say it. So apparently when flowers die, they can’t “die-die” without water. You can do a fun little experiment. Step one: Kidnap a random flower. Step two: deprive it of its basic necessities to live. (1-2 weeks to be sure) Step three: check on the plant and feel how hard its petals and stem feel. Step four: if they feel crisp and hard, you did this right so far. Step five: cause extreme refeeding syndrome to it, by drowning it in water fully. Be sure to cover the entire flower in water. Step six: watch as your little floral friend turns into a melted blob of agony. Step seven: relish in the fact that you chose for that plant to die, and desecrated its corpse. You are now the god of death.

The part of jazz you added along with the "best friend" motif is simply the best part of the song. But I'm surprised that no one talks about the "Megalovania" motif just before the "best friend" motif. I think it's equally clever since both Flowey and Sans are final bosses in their routes.

I feel that this guy had a talk show of some sort that got taken down because he was saying some foul stuff. When his show got taken down he felt that he lost control of himself and gone mad, even calling the person who took his show down the devil. The devil thing is a reference to how the devil is sometimes given goat futures and Torial, the person who threw him away, is a goat. The parallel to Kris is the lack of control that he felt after his show was taken down and could give some implications on how Kris got the soul, being from a stupid mistake.
With how the secret bosses all have carnival/amusement park-themed settings, I feel like a whack-a-mole game would be fitting for him, referencing how Flowey would pop in and out of the ground

I really like the end bit with the laughter
I could see it translating into gameplay by having Petaly first laugh inside the battle box, then bursting its sides with their arms and lastly (the bit with the red eyes) using the bottom and top border as part of their teeth and crushing the soul if we don't escape through the destroyed side borders

HOLY MOTHER OF HELL THIS IS AMAZING!!! I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN! So I'll just list what I LOVE about this.
Firstly, The Art/Animation is OFF THE CHARTS with the freakishly fluid Petaly head bopping, The Lights and TV's swaying, The Usage of the Friendliness Pellets, The Shadow Man popping off, the Story Telling in the Shadow Man Part and Super neat transistions between scenes.
Secondly, All the Easter Eggs and References. Like The Flowey/OMEGA Flowey References, The Petaly & Flowery Crossover, The Petaly & Charkis Battle From the OC Tournament, and Many More that My Mind is blanking on.
Thirdly, THE MUSIC WOW!!! This Adds so much to the Original song and takes it in a completely different direction and the SAX SOLO 10/10.
Overall, This was PHENOMENAL!!! This is definitely One of Your Best Works yet (Not that I wish to imply that Your Previous Works weren't already Perfect). 10/10 All Around.

Second, I’ve been looking for a specific comment for a bit now, but I can’t find it. So ima just say it.
So apparently when flowers die, they can’t “die-die” without water.
You can do a fun little experiment.
Step one: Kidnap a random flower.
Step two: deprive it of its basic necessities to live. (1-2 weeks to be sure)
Step three: check on the plant and feel how hard its petals and stem feel.
Step four: if they feel crisp and hard, you did this right so far.
Step five: cause extreme refeeding syndrome to it, by drowning it in water fully. Be sure to cover the entire flower in water.
Step six: watch as your little floral friend turns into a melted blob of agony.
Step seven: relish in the fact that you chose for that plant to die, and desecrated its corpse. You are now the god of death.

The part of jazz you added along with the "best friend" motif is simply the best part of the song. But I'm surprised that no one talks about the "Megalovania" motif just before the "best friend" motif. I think it's equally clever since both Flowey and Sans are final bosses in their routes.

Dude- the “I miss you, I’m misused” bit and the erratic movements of Petaly add so muuuuch-
I feel that this guy had a talk show of some sort that got taken down because he was saying some foul stuff. When his show got taken down he felt that he lost control of himself and gone mad, even calling the person who took his show down the devil. The devil thing is a reference to how the devil is sometimes given goat futures and Torial, the person who threw him away, is a goat. The parallel to Kris is the lack of control that he felt after his show was taken down and could give some implications on how Kris got the soul, being from a stupid mistake.
With how the secret bosses all have carnival/amusement park-themed settings, I feel like a whack-a-mole game would be fitting for him, referencing how Flowey would pop in and out of the ground
The animation is fantastic it’s so unnerving how violently petaly’s head jerks from side to side
I hear the Fun song motif at the end and all i can imagine is hearing petaly say

this cover is a total banger and the animation is just perfect for this freak of nature the way he tilt his head make it looks he jugle with it. and at the end with omega flowey eyes it just make me remind why i feared flowey, for how much someone with sense made, immagine what this madman would do if he was in place of flowey

Honestly, out of the 2 things in the Dreemurr household that I saw becoming secret bosses was the flowers in the trash, or the mirror in the hallway.
Both could be fun symbolism to Kris's family. Was hoping for a mirror boss but I think a doppelgänger boss is being kept for whenever we fight the vessel.
