Petaly just feels like the type of character to constantly fail, over and over again, never given a break. But the end bit just feels like he finally gets his big break and gets his long awaited victory.
Love how this version also uses His Theme at 3:03! Even though Petaly might not be as tied to Asriel as Flowey, the discarded bouquet he's created from _was_ grown by Asgore. In a way, he's still his and Toriel's kid.

There is so much to say about this. Between the original and this you art has greatly improved. Love the western flair you used for the freedom motif at 1:03. I didn’t ever think of add the “mouth plants” from as tumbleweeds, it feels so cursed but so right at the same time.

flowey-inspired secret bosses are always so interesting to me because i feel like with his absence in deltarune, there’s a very noticeable flowey-shaped hole in the story. that’s not to call deltarune’s story so far *bad* or anything, it’s just jarring that such an important character not only doesn’t exist in deltarune, but cannot truly exist in deltarune (because monsters live on the surface, asriel is still alive, etc.). i really like how petaly is in many ways a parody of flowey, but his story still stands on its own as a horrifying tragedy in and of itself
