Fantastic information. Really appreciate the categorical breakdown between Metallic, Matte, and See-thru. I've got a million baits in a million different colors and I use a few favorites and only a few actually catch fish. I guess the old adage "Most lures are made to catch fisherman" has some truth to it, they definitely caught ME!! 20yrs ago this Info would have been a money saver for me, but this is my hobby. 5-Stars my friend.
Yeah, but part of us fisherman like blowing money on baits every now and then with hopes of some magical success 😉. A healthier form of gambling! Appreciate the comment Skipp. We learned from Randy's excellent instruction as well.
@tims_always_fishing it's not that bad, I have a box full like that. From 110 jr. - +2's and Magnums. Couldn't be more that 1000 dollars worth in that box.
sorry to be offtopic but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I would love any tips you can offer me
@Andres Justus i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Thanks Lee, Randy is a wealth of jerkbait fishing knowledge. You might also appreciate this video on cold water jerkbaiting: th-cam.com/video/gRlrkSVON9s/w-d-xo.html
I carry various sizes but only 3 colors. Blue gill, matte shad, and then a metallic minnow color .... I fish water clarity that is only 2 ft max. Super sunny day is the gill or metallic, overcast is matte
@@johnjorfi8338 no any bait with enough rough use will break eventually. The MB jerkbaits aren't fragile, but you def have to be careful when hittin rocks.
There are some talking about JB breaking because of hitting rocks and bottom , there not design to hit anything leave those for squarebills and crankbaits...open water only
G3 Semperfi right no I understand sometimes bank fishing hard to see a boulder or anything and then when they hit breaks my bills. Thanks for all the input
the color selection does not change day by day. Just like Bait fish do not change color day by day LOL. Give me a break. All of those colors are to catch fisherman not fish. Sorry but I'll never buy into that
We disagree with you on this. If you spend a ton of time on the water and have multiple people in the boat (as Randy Blaukat does), fish color preferences emerge, and it can change day by day or even by the hour. Nothing is static in nature. Here's a fresh case in point from the 2019 Bassmaster Classic: th-cam.com/video/x1-v6tRB0no/w-d-xo.html
@@Wired2Fish I agree 1000%. I've always been told that jerkbaits are reactionary baits and that cadence, and color is what triggers that reaction bite. If I'm not getting bit even after varying cadence I'll switch up my colors and go through the motion's all over again of changing cadence until both the color scheme and cadence is the ticket to a successful bite. I've ever experienced just changing color in certain situations is the ticket regardless of cadence. Appreciate these videos it helps to remind myself I'm not entirely crazy in terms of bass fishing. At times i feel we all overthink this whole thing lol.
New guy to fishing. Very overwhelming in a fun way. Really appreciate the simple breakdown. Thank you.
Great perspective! Really we should consider all of our bait choices off of these conditions.

The true King of jerkbaiting - Randy used to be just a name to me - now I realise he is a proper legend - much respect.
Thank you guys for sharing this informative video. And thank you Mr Blaukat for helping us fishermen out
Always a pleasure and thank you Rick for being a participant in this great sport.
I caught some jerkbait bass on my lunch break today thanks to this video!
We wanna be taking our lunches where you're at! Thanks for watching.
that box of Vision 110's costs more than my house!

It's the fisherman's equivalent to a briefcase full of cash.

Nice looking lures. Switch the trebs for singles.
Agreed 💯
Wonderful advice!
Thanks!
You nailed it Randy 🔨🎣👍
Appreciate it Will. Good luck and staff safe if you venture out this winter.
Nicely Done ~ and it seems I'm not the only one adding a little weight to my 110's - don't tell anyone . . .
Awesome tips thanks.
You bet David. Happy you liked it.
Great info
Thanks, we thought Randy nailed it in this video! No bull, just a few solid guidelines to consider.
Там,где остальные воблеры творят чудеса,Мегабасс ловит и ловит!Лайк!
I have the reflective silver Rapala ripstop jerkbait and I never caught a fish smh
That tackle box's contents cost around 1000 bucks😬
Better be careful with (or prepared to replace) your Vision 110's beating them against the rocks/bottom like that.
Zach Shott I’ve had problems with rapalas bill breaking from that I guess I’m not the only one or rapalas aren’t the only company with this problem ?

Agree. Fishing is about 99%skills and 1% luck
Color do matter on certain days though
