@@starbéreux Not with OG, it had the most people playing Fortnite ever, each new season had a decrease in players and its clear to see where Forntite is headed.
I find it annoying how people complain about the gameplay of Fortnite. I agree that Fortnite should’ve never made of these unnecessary UI changes, but I feel different about the gameplay. Personally, I enjoy the unique mythics, and the collabs that they put in the game, but if the game stayed simple for years, it would’ve died off a long time ago
yea i agree. theres some stuff i dont like cause i do feel like its super complicated if u havent played in a while but i like the mythics and stuff too
I agree with the growth of the game but with all the colabs with weird items it’s just not a shooter game anymore. Skins are okay I have my opinion about that but I don’t really care but the items are just not it.
Not only the mini pass for avatar but the festival pass, and I’m sure they will add a Fortnite rocket pass. If Fortnite crew includes the battle pass, and rocket league pass, it should include festival and mini passes as well
Mini passes are like merch for your favourite show it might cost an arm and a leg (which it doesn’t) but at the end of the day you are probably still going to buy it
My problem with the game currently is that the enjoyment that was once there, hardly exists anymore. All of the versatility is tied behind the constant mythics and endless collaborations; every, single season. Returned after a three year hiatus (thanks to Season OG) and I still don’t feel any satisfaction after coming back. Fortnite Festival is the only thing that still keeps me interested at this point.
Same here....I started playing Fortnite since day 1 and I was so hyped with season OG....but that lasted for 2 weeks at most...then it became the same Fortnite we have for years after chapter 1 ended. And not gonna lie chapter 2 was good as well for a few seasons but then it kept getting worse until we got to this point.
@@care1essguy I'd mostly disagree about the chapter one thing, I definitely agree that chapter 2 paved the way for all of the bs now but honestly I think chapter 3 seasons 3-4 really are at fault for how much the game has changed, both good seasons but the "Fracture" event was terrible and long. All for a chapter that sucks that no one cared for, then we had season OG, and when that left, Epic just said f-u to every og player and brought garbage movement, expensive ass skins, and dumb collabs. Idk I've kind of moved on from Fortnite there is zero point in still playing imo.
I can easily explain why. People already complain about how convoluted Fortnite has become with the mythics and its loot pool, so imagine how much more people would complain if we had the ATLA mythics and the Greek themed mythics at the same time. People would definitely complain more and make the whole game more toxic. Fortnite realizing this decided that not having them for a few weeks isn’t too big of a deal and keeps the game a little more simple for the time being. Also we’ve already had them for a month and will have them for another 20 days after the collab so not much to worry about.
eh, with all the new bending there isnt a point in using those items; hades is a worse gatekeeper/auto, wings are just shit, and the thunderbolt is horrible. so i can see why they vaulted them
People gripe about Fortnite's gameplay, but while I think some Ul changes were unnecessary, I actually enjoy the unique mythics and collabs. Simplifying the game for years would've killed it off long ago.
imo, I dont care about the game play, the only thing that made me eh, about the game was the new ui and how you select modes, why does the game need to look like Netflix ?
@@themelancholia It's called rarity in the sense of quality and price lmao. Don't over complicate it it's literally just talking about the skin itself and the price. Look at uncommon, 800 vbuck skins compared to legendary skins, there is usually a whole lot more quality in the more expensive skins.
My biggest gripe with Battle Royale currently is how they removed all hitscan weapons. Literally no weapons in the game currently are hitscan. Even the Hand Cannon. The gunplay of the game wasn't been good in a long time but it actively feels like they're nerfing weapons for the sake of it, which bothers me sinfe building hasn't been nerfed in literal years and the last nerf it got was super small. It's like they don't care about fixing the game's balance issues, it feels like they're just streamlining everything except the one system that has needed an overhaul for years to the point where they had to add a new mode that removes it
The new weapons are keeping the game fun lol. Hitscan weapons hit if they want to and don't hit if they don't want to. Removing all skill from fights unless you use close range weapons. Bullet drop is a huge W for Fortnite, did they do it wrong? Absolutely, doesn't make it a bad thing though. It adds skill to fights.
i think people have the right to be worried about the battle royale mode turning into a side piece. it already happened with Save the World, a game mode they hardly ever mention anymore that used to be the main core of fortnite
Well there gonna make battle royale through uefn starting 2025 so it’s never gonna become the side piece and the fact we have first person coming just don’t see it happening.
@@Raider_The-Thundergod_gameswell let’s see what did they do for the Star Wars update nothing they gave nothing to BR I’m sorry but Epic games all they care about is making Fortnite a metaverse with the other gamemodes it’s sad 😔 and the xp for this season was a joke only 10k xp for completing weekly quests
@@outrightflame4280 bro doesn’t understands what I just said 🤦♂️ battle royal has a lot more coming to it next year a lot of there team is working much in advance that a Star Wars update isn’t going to be the greatest and yet they still added a new decent mythic and nerfed darth Vader for bots. They also have great plans for the remainder for chapter 5 with a wasteland season marvel and chapter 2 remake to lead into first person and UEFN battle royal that will feel cleaner to play I promise batte royal isn’t leaving and still is their main idea it’s like this because this was Donald’s plan the whole time to make Fortnite a metaverse. There your right but in conclusion batte royal is gonna feel a little slow till towards the end of 2024 and batte royal 100% is still there main priority they just want other players to use these mini games to explore batte royal and create the biggest game ever.
Honestly, I feel like people caught on a little TOO late. Like, the entire art style change in Chapter 2+ and the collab centric nature it shifted to *wasn't* already betraying its original identity? To me what made Fortnite special was lost long ago (mostly because the 2018 art style was the best this game ever looked in my eyes). As soon as its goofy, cartoony nature was cast aside for collaborations (and Save the World was left to rot) it died for me. Nowadays I just play Creative modes if I get back in to the game.
I also wish this game never existed because it brought me down so bad as an early teenager and I hate it greatly and have a high personal vendetta towards it.
Yea i think it definitely started to change back then. But I think now its starting to change so much that people are starting to get worried about how the game might just become a roblox 2.0 and not focused on battle royale
if they made classic fortnite a permanent mode with its own original content (asset flipping from stw like how it originally was) everyone would be happy ong, its that easy
True but holy shit the game size will be the double although a solution for it could be making OG Fortnite Downloadable in game and not a forced update for those who are low on storage
If they actually took the time to make an accurate OG mode with the old models and UI then they would keep the player count that they had last November. But instead they’re just doing another month-long season but chapter two this time, which will bring in a fraction of the players that came for OG 1 and discourage epic from ever doing a special season again
@@Rhyciz for me its not just nostalgia even for fortnite people used to say oh players miss chapter 1 cause of nostalgia last year fortnite og season ch1 came back for a month and the player base skycounted having more players than fortnite in 2017-2019 so it isnt just nostalgia it is the memories the fun memories u have with games
@@darkcdev4906 most if not all og assets are still in the game files, they could just intertwine new content with the old map and make it work somehow. They've done crazier things in the past
@@MilosPetrovic-bk2qpthey say nostalgia but they are literally coping because there is nothing we can do about DEVs making shitty decisions. At least it’s not PTW mechanics but the mechanics are still shitty nonetheless. In the video he said something about simplicity that kept us playing . THAT IS WHY IT GOT SO POPULAR IN THE FIRST PLACE. The gameplay WAS better . And when the OG map drops again permanently there will be a shit load of players back in the game if they do it right
eh i disagree They’ve been doing collabs since near the begining and i dont think that was necessarily the cause of the issue. If anything I think the whole multiverse thing theyre doing is more of the reason
@@808savion eh i disagree the only collab that they had in chapter 1 was thanos because the game back then didn’t need to rely on collabs to make money etc. When creative became a thing that is when the br started to slow down then chapter 2 season 3 is when Fortnite started to become a cash grab because every new season n a new chapter n new battle pass always has had to include a collaboration n a collaboration always has to introduce overpowered gameplay that makes the game unplayable n now they are doing this metaverse thing which is killing the game even more. There was a reason why LTMs existed so idk why they couldn’t keep introducing ltms for all the collabs that they been introducing because i wanna play br for once without having op mythics that don’t really belong in public matches n competitive matches. Now they are doing an open world too
not only did they create new modes but the xp to attract players from them is lowkey broken. ex. in lego it’s 30k for like 15 minutes playtime. for a daily cap up to about 5 levels. adds up over time
as someone who started the game this season Ch5S2 (yes, we exist) outside of learning this ridiculously complicated building mechanic it's a pretty easy transition from any other modern shooter to fortnite. if this game still had stuff like no sprinting and sliding and really janky movement and all that i'm not sure if i'd be able to say the same, so i can completely understand the shift from the old to the new.
The OG season where they brought back the old map was really cool imo cause it brought back what everyone liked but also used the modern movement and they made some other changes. It was like the best of both worlds imo
I agree that if they kept it the same it wouldve gotten stale, but also the surge of 100 million players during last November from the OG season kind of makes people want a 24/7 365 OG mode. Or maybe a separate small game which is just old Fortnite with old graphics, and stuff
Just randomly had your minecraft video come on my recommended and rly enjoyed it. Love these discussions type videos and mix with ur style of editing i rly enjoy this. Keep it up bro love to see more content!
This game has gone downhill from a OG standpoint. If you grew up halfway through the game you don’t understand. Atleast bring OG back as a mode not a stupid resurgence joke
I love collabs but I hate how they have nothing to them like when they first collabed it was with Marcel and they added a whole LTM but now we get nothing but a skin
Ive played since the game released on console (during the seasonal shop phase) and yes the games changing for the worse, they removed the greek items from the greek season, fail to update their new modes more than once a season and im pretty sure every single one of those new modes are cash grabs. They removed rarities because theyre running out of good skin and dance ideas (they mostly add tiktok dances) they added a ranked mode, yet kept sbmm in normal lobbies completely missing the whole reason people wanted a ranked mode (so normal br could have no sbmm), removing the goodness and mystique from the storyline and that's just scratching the surface. Fortnite has went from a cool game with many original skins and versions of characters (like the zero war skins) to just a haven for ez money colabs with a shit show of a modern story
It seems like fortnite is heavily catering towards zero build, zero build is a great experience but all these items they keep adding just absolutely ruin builds
I also blame collabs too. It made the game feel like a walking ad instead of stuff that was original. Pretty much every battle pass has at least one collab or something similar
It’s crazy for me because when it first came out, I kind of liked it , then I hated it because of the graphics and style. Then they started dropping a bunch of skins I really liked like Spider-Man predator terminator, etc. I felt like they were trying to get me to play the game and I didn’t because of that reason. Fast-forward last year, my friends made me play and now I love it, and I regret missing out on all the skins that I really liked. A lot of my friends would not be playing still, if gameplay and graphic changes weren’t made. It does still feel like the same game just with more things to do. I completely agree , not focusing on battle Royale, and zero builds “ the fundamentals “ will be the end of Fortnite. A lot of the times when I play creator game modes, I find myself way more bored and confused of the identity of the game but when I get back to zero builds and battle Royale I remember why I really liked the game. 💯
no ltms no fun items guns suck graphics suck locker ui worst ever shop ui to lobby ui in general cosmetics rarieties getting removed movement changes to goofy ah pubg chapter 5 gone to far andi feel chapter 6 will be the completely end but yeh game still alive for some reason
My problem with the state of Fortnite, is that whenever collab mythics come to the game, they just straight up remove the current season's items like in current season, removing the only Greek Mythology theme items in a season purely for Greek Mythology. They also don't have that many skins that concern with the season. Another big issue is Fortnite focusing less on the main modes BR, and STW. According to a leaked roadmap, Fortnite has zero plans to update STW and the updates for BR are plain and not imaginative. I don't play STW, but it deserves more recognition, as it was the first game mode Fortnite released.
I started pretty much in the beginning. I remember logging on to play a cool game where you drop into the game and find loot kill the odd player have a blast alone or with friends. The odd cool update like the shockwave grenade, and the bush was cool. Now you have all these weird items I don't even remember the names of. Too many players got good, which imo ruined the simplicity of the game. The wild thing I find about this game is that, it used to be a game about surviving a storm and waves of zombies and base defense game. I kind of do not like how the game is going. If they add less updates, it might become more simple? And if they added votes or poles and listened to the community maybe the devs and community can change some stuff around like they used to.
The map looks like a cod war zone map now. Nothing good came after s2. Season one and 2 were the only seasons of fortnite that felt like fortnite. I can't even play normal battle Royale anymore. Too many metas and changing meta and weird map and weird mechanics.. and npc's? Like wtf? They fumbled a major bag by not just making OG a playable mode indefinitely
They might do it . If classic mode makes it into fortnite the right way we will get what we always wanted. And not shitty players relying instant bullet gratification and aim assist.
And mythic weapons that tear your ass into two pieces because you didn’t pick it up first😂😂😂😂😂 at least if someone has a gold scar I also have the chance of picking up a gold scar and now we can go toe to toe and SKILL will be the reason one of us wins not RNG or some meta weapon that only ONE PERSON can hold on the map.
I don’t think its the graphics that make the game lose its charm, its the design of the landscape that makes it feel all strange and modern. The old Fortnite map was mainly a simple green colour with a desert area and an iceberg, now we have far more realistic areas instead of the simplistic/cartoonish design
Fortnite won’t be bringing back the Greek mythology items They removed them for the collab items to make sure there isn’t too many mythics in the game but are removing the avatar event from the game on May 2nd After the Avatar event is over on May 3rd the Star Wars stuff will return so they will replace the avatar stuff with lightsabers which will last till the end of the season on May 24th
removing rarities is a huge issue imo because of how much originally the legendary and epic skins were priced at, people spent 2k on a legendary just for it to be undistinguishable from would be a epic now, the price point being significant as most skins now are 1200-1500 and with that being removed, theres no reason for any of them to previously being worth 2k
I feel like i just dont lie it because of nostalgia. If a new player pick this game up they woud love it but the og mostly hate it because they want to go back in the days where it was just a simple fun game
always loved how simple the game used to be, ch4 and the og season was great but they fucked with a lot of stuff when ch5 came out, a lot of people hated the movement, ui changes and the amount of random stuff they added so suddenly. Its pretty sad to see fortnite slowly losing its identity and messing with so many core parts of the game. The leaked survey options show some hope though, as a lot of the questions revolve around these big changes epic have made.
I hate the new lobby menu. It's just an overload of stuff. Creative maps should've stayed under the creative portal lobby thing, or shouldve been put on a seperate menu.
Fortnite removed the rarities so they can sell the lower skin prices for more and the higher skin prices for a lot more and + i had memorised every fckn thing in my locker but now they scrambled them up 😭
this game went down hill the second they started catering to the bots now theres literally NPCs in the game which makes it feel like im playing cod against bots on recruit
I'm a Fortnite fan and have been since like 2020, but since the release of chapter 5 I feel like it's just a whole different game and I kinda don't enjoy it anymore. Sure, I still play it, but the enjoyment that was once had isn't here anymore. One of the issues I have is that they are relying too much on the collabs. Sure, it's fun to have your favorite character in the game, but god, one would think that the game should be appealing because it's good and fun, not because they have the money to buy a license. Collabs don't add nothing to the game, they are only pixels that change the appearance of your characters when you play, the only time they contribute something is when they come with items that change the gameplay. And even then, they shouldn't be changing the whole theme of the season like the Avatar colab (and soon with the Star Wars lightsabers) or taking over an entire season, like the Marvel season from Ch2 S4. And I know this is beating a dead horse but omg do I hate the new movement animations, it's so boring and sauceless. Edit: BRUH, another Marvel Season? At this point they just LIED to us. When the first marvel season came out people complained and we were told that there weren’t going to be any more fully colab-themed seasons. I kinda made amends with the fact that Fortnite has no identity other than being the “everything game”, but it really says something about the direction they’re giving to the game when the vocal minority is now the people than want Fortnite to be Fortnite again, specially with than D23 Fortnite expo Also, I kinda lied when I said I was a Fortnite fan since 2020, because I actually played Ch1 S3 and Season 4, I left the game bc my Xbox died but I played those.
I started playing during chapter 4 season 2 so I don’t know how seasons before that felt but I’m having the time of my life. I love playing the game and already have about 500 hours which is around 2h per day for about one year. Chapter 5 felt a lot less charming but imo the gameplay is still unbelievably fun.
for me, i haven’t played in a couple weeks. i didn’t play c5 s1 for like a month or two and i barely played chapter 4 . the only seasons i have played nearly every day in the past 1-1.5 years is ch4 s3 and OG season. idk what it is but the game just hasn’t been fun. the UI is really bad but doesn’t make it unplayable. the gameplay is alr and the graphics are good. i think the worst thing abt fortnite rn is epic games. they are slowly changing things what don’t need to be change. such as the skin rarities. like i don’t think i single soul even wanted skin rarities gone. i don’t think fortnite will die anytime soon but i def see it having a massive falloff by the end of this year or mid next year. yapping over.
Played BR since the very first season and loved the OG season. They finally ruined it enough that I haven't played BR since December. I just play lego, escape rooms, and prop hunts now.
I’ve also been playing since season 1, ever since chapter 3 season 2 I’ve not been playing battle royale properly till Season OG, after that ended I stopped playing battle royale constantly and hardly play it anymore
i could care less about cartoony or realistic graphics, its the fact that they got rid of all the small, silly things like the confetti when you score in soccer and the fun challenges :(
The game just feels overwhelming. I used to compete for 3 years and I just can’t handle how weird and chaotic things are now. I love new changes, but I don’t like how its rapidly changing too fast with no simplicity left.
for anyone who argues that we only liked chapter one because of nostalgia then why Fortnite hit its highest peak since ch1 in the OG season? so many people came back and so many people stayed because of og season, it wasn't nostalgic it was genuinely the most fun Fortnite had been since ch1. with that being said i know alot of bots who dont really care about fortnite are gonna cry about how it didnt have OP Mythics but those Mythics don't help the game they cool to use but most people hate being killed by them and will be put into a bad mood until they win so yes they using them and playing them but at what cost?
Yeah I agree especially with the whole FOMO point you pointed out! But yeah Epic Games I will only say it one last time! Bring Travis! And Astrojack! BACK! ALREADY! PLEASE!!
Its like how many aiming machanics do you need to add to nerf skill on guns, the warforged AR midas drum gun new smg have crazy recoil it just feels uncomfortable to control pulling on your stick/mouse aiming in front for bullet drop and if you dont have a scope controlling the bloom side to side recoil on the midas gun
One thing I hate abt Fortnite rn is how there isn't as much originality in events, skins and battlepasses, I miss skins like venture or raptor, omega, the trex costume guys but now it's all collabs and it doesn't even feel like Fortnite like them having the collabs but they have too much of it like the guns piss me off now, like they had the style, sounds and gunplay was better it felt like Fortnite now the guns are just like any other shooter game
3:57 not too much on that loading screen, it still made since to the season since back then, all the battlepass skins would all lineup in a line for the log in screen. I honestly preferred that over the old one we had.
I was a former IOS player who played the game before it got banned on the app store. Glad to have left, that shit was fun but now it's just a big advertisement 😔
The whole notion of the game dieing out if it was still the same old br is a wild take, the most played games of all time are the games that have a solid base and refine that, no major changes, no new stuff just to be new, just perfection of what it is
like what game? all the top games i can think of either consistently release new games or update their existing. Minecraft, Cod, ect. Thats like if Black Ops 2 dropped and then they never released a new cod again or updated the game again
@@808savion counterstrike hasnt changed its base gameplay for over 20 years and is still the number one shooter game, they also have tf2 which people would love an update but still one of the most played games because the base game is perfect

Even with the og update people started getting bored by the end of it and it was only out for a month. Fortnite has changed too fast way too much, like personally ive been hating the game these last few weeks for all the mindless decision they makin bru. the only goood quality of life changes theyve made are the extra movement mechanics sprinting sliding, etc. and adding vehicles. imma rant up rq😭. movement animations are bad, graphic dsesign is bad, they coulda kept the same original artstyle while only enhancing the graphical quality like shadows and details, not overhauling the artstyle into the garb we have today. I HEARD THEY MIGHT BE PUTTING ADS IN THE GAME, THE THOUGHT PROCESS IS HONESTLY UNBELIEVABLE. theyve made the game lose its charm and have made it feel COMPLETELY SOULLESS, this is ofc cause of the employee layoffs, im concerned about the direction the game is going in and its looking pretty bad. Ive stuck with this game for over 6 years now and ive always wanted it to do good but to me this is really bad. who knows, maybe they just purposely giving out trash updates just to get some relevancy (even though everyone came back for og)then might start cooking continuously with the next ones 👀. thats legit the only thing i can think of lmfaooo cause i just dont understand why theyre doing this shi at all. if this continues it might be the ulitmate downfall of the game icl
6:40 The Greek mythics are coming back on may 3rd, same day when avatar leaves. But then the same day they add Star Wars mythics.. Personally I’d much rather constant updates and gameplay shifts than the dry dog cheeks we got last season
Listen I love Fortnite, but coming from someone who plays comp I actually agree with you. But another thing is that this season literally requires 0 skill. The zeus mythic went through builds and did like 160 damage, the wings is crazy movement and destroys builds and now the avatar stuff has INFINITE MOVEMENT AND THE WATER BENDING LOCKS ON AND DOES LIKE 190 DAMAGE WTF?! I do get why because obviously like half of the fanbase doesn’t play comp and just likes the game so I get why they would add it but they don’t even take it out of tournaments. I have died to the waterbending an uncountable amount of times. Fun fact, it actually is the reason me and my duo didn’t qualify to round 2 in fncs. We both got killed by the same person with a waterbending on height in end game. Sorry for ranting but that’s my thoughts on this season.
Yo this new avatar update is the best update ever in my opinion idc if your not a fan but I’m the biggest fan of avatar ever and it’s insane. They paid so much attention, aang and tophs out if it’s are from the comics which is essentially season 4. But that is just crazy to me.
Can these new changes be fun?, yes. Is it the right way on improving on something that everyone loved?. NO. Every loved rdr1. When rdr2 was announced people wanted more of what we got from rdr1. And thats what we got, and it was glorious. But lets imagine that rdr2 was nothing like rdr1 nor did rdr2 give us more of what we got or improved upon it. Instead it got changed into a racing game set in 2189 with some old west themes. Can in be good or interesting?, yes. Is that what we came to see? Hell no. And it's sad to see Fortnite changing and losing it's identity. COD modern warfare is a cool military battle royale game. Now we got "the boys" characters in it using guns to protect themselves and nicki Minaj. Can it be fun?, yes. Is this why everyone loved the game in the first place and wanted to see more of?. No.
Fortnite was in a golden moment between then and now around the time of Agents to around Resistance. Something that everyone always looked forward to was the big events- otherwise, battle passes were a piece of cake to clear because there was a sudden storyline you could follow to completion that gave easy exp. Battle passes were... still problematic- but there was also more of a focus to the casual players than the serious players, with things as broken as the Explosive Goo Gun not getting nerfed a lot because it was fun for casual players. Now, everything feels like a sudden commitment- and the extra modes are not helping. Festival has its own battle pass, RR has cars the price of skins when you see them for a faction of the time and LEGO Fortnite doesn't exist since the main target age group is older than 12.
I hate how the menu looks now. its just so corprate and lifeless (funny because fortnite is now owned by two megacorporations) but they just stripped all the remaining charm from the menu.
I Was quite new to Fortnite as I started in chapter 3 but I do remember watching my brothers play and I understand how simple and beautiful it used to be 😮
It’s like there turning Fortnite into a Metaverse game and are focusing less and less on Br, and removing as they call it “Out-Dated Br Systems” that made Fortnite Special. Which is weird why they are removing this stuff because The BR is literally the reason anyone is still playing the game
I originally started playing the game during season 4 and think I stopped right before chapter 2 begun. I took a long break for several years since Fortnite ate so much data when updating and just returned this season. I feel like the shop in general is just boring as things can leave the shop and appear a week or so later. Like, I didn't buy it then, so I'm not going to buy it now. Meanwhile it takes things over a year to return to the store. I'm so upset that 50 vs 50 is not a permanent mode by now. That used to be my favorite since it was a more chill mode and not so tryhard-y. You basically had half a map to yourself and could loot peacefully for a while before ending up in the middle where there would be two teams fighting others. I'm also sad that they mostly stopped making pets to my knowledge. That was one of my favorite parts of the battle pass. Having ways to unlock alt styles for battle pass cosmetics you own that you didn't have time to unlock would also be a nice addition, even if it means paying a few Vbucks to unlock said styles.
As a player who didn’t start until early chapter two it’s been much more evident for me I feel as throughout chapter two and into three it didn’t even really seem to resemble what I had started playing, it’s just constant acceleration and at some point the only thing that brings me back is the name. Sort of a ship of Theseus situation but for video games lol.
I feel like the realism is also cause Epic Games also makes the unreal engine the game runs on and epic has been REALLY pushing the capabilities of their engine and they often cite Fortnite as an example of it all

yea i agree. theres some stuff i dont like cause i do feel like its super complicated if u havent played in a while but i like the mythics and stuff too
I agree with the growth of the game but with all the colabs with weird items it’s just not a shooter game anymore. Skins are okay I have my opinion about that but I don’t really care but the items are just not it.
this is fax but it doesn't feel like Fortnite for most people, we are literally getting a ton of huge changes so fast people don't know how to react

My only complaint is the mini pass costing more than the ACTUAL BATTLEPASS
😭
Not only the mini pass for avatar but the festival pass, and I’m sure they will add a Fortnite rocket pass. If Fortnite crew includes the battle pass, and rocket league pass, it should include festival and mini passes as well
Bruh you pay 950 vbucks and the mini pass is 50 vbucks more 😂
😭
Mini passes are like merch for your favourite show it might cost an arm and a leg (which it doesn’t) but at the end of the day you are probably still going to buy it
Epic games are half assing a lot of the decisions. They aren't exactly decisive in where they want chaos and don't want it in BR.
some gigachad guy as a manager was replaced with a lesbian lgbt supporter i bet thats why we get changes like these
My problem with the game currently is that the enjoyment that was once there, hardly exists anymore. All of the versatility is tied behind the constant mythics and endless collaborations; every, single season.
Returned after a three year hiatus (thanks to Season OG) and I still don’t feel any satisfaction after coming back. Fortnite Festival is the only thing that still keeps me interested at this point.
Yea thats fair
Enjoyment will always fade after a while
Its really fucked up that they removed all the zeus wings and stuff
Like it’s literally the THEME of the season
fr i mean i like the avatar stuff but come on 😭
I can easily explain why. Also we’ve already had them for a month and will have them for another 20 days after the collab so not much to worry about.
eh, with all the new bending there isnt a point in using those items; hades is a worse gatekeeper/auto, wings are just shit, and the thunderbolt is horrible. so i can see why they vaulted them
They're coming back in may chill
Dog 😂 imagine the earth bending with the Zeus lighting bolts there’s a reason there vaulted and there only gone till the third
I wouldn’t mind the rarity change if they didn’t scramble my skins over my locker like some damn eggs😭🙏

@T_Krueger Because the game isn't mainly battle royale anymore
@TychoppaFor example, is Lego Fortnite about shooting other people?
@Tychoppa Lego is officialy in the game as a game mode forever
People gripe about Fortnite's gameplay, but while I think some Ul changes were unnecessary, I actually enjoy the unique mythics and collabs. Simplifying the game for years would've killed it off long ago.

imo, I dont care about the game play, the only thing that made me eh, about the game was the new ui and how you select modes, why does the game need to look like Netflix ?
You’d imagine since they got rid of the rarity they would make the skins the same price
nope 💀
"Rarity" doesnt make sense. I've seen Fate, an old legendary 2000 vbuck skin like five times in the past three months.
@@themelancholia It's called rarity in the sense of quality and price lmao. Don't over complicate it it's literally just talking about the skin itself and the price. Look at uncommon, 800 vbuck skins compared to legendary skins, there is usually a whole lot more quality in the more expensive skins.
Chapter 3 was the last time when Fortnite ACTUALLY felt like Fortnite… Now it’s just a shell of what it used to be
yea i think its still fun but it just dont hit the same
yep
No chapter 2 felt and definitely looked more like fortnite before chapter 3 drastically changed the game and look
It's like they don't care about fixing the game's balance issues, it feels like they're just streamlining everything except the one system that has needed an overhaul for years to the point where they had to add a new mode that removes it
what balance issues? half the things you said are just skill issues
@@FWÆHHHHHHHHHHMaybe he is a casual player and goes outside
@@Milopororemember when someone says something about fn there's always that one that has to start something over it lol
Zero build
i think people have the right to be worried about the battle royale mode turning into a side piece. it already happened with Save the World, a game mode they hardly ever mention anymore that used to be the main core of fortnite
Yea i feel like if they sidelined battle royale it would actually backfire this time
Well there gonna make battle royale through uefn starting 2025 so it’s never gonna become the side piece and the fact we have first person coming just don’t see it happening.

They lost their identity the moment they started milking collaborations
So, Chapter 1 Season 4?
eh i disagree They’ve been doing collabs since near the begining and i dont think that was necessarily the cause of the issue.
There was a reason why LTMs existed so idk why they couldn’t keep introducing ltms for all the collabs that they been introducing because i wanna play br for once without having op mythics that don’t really belong in public matches n competitive matches. as someone who started the game this season Ch5S2 (yes, we exist) outside of learning this ridiculously complicated building mechanic it's a pretty easy transition from any other modern shooter to fortnite. if this game still had stuff like no sprinting and sliding and really janky movement and all that i'm not sure if i'd be able to say the same, so i can completely understand the shift from the old to the new.
The OG season where they brought back the old map was really cool imo cause it brought back what everyone liked but also used the modern movement and they made some other changes. It was like the best of both worlds imo
Why don’t you play zero build
People saying the game is better now have not played in 2017-2019 it’s a completely different game you wouldn’t understand if you didn’t play

I miss the old days where fortnite would add a silly thing like the cart and you'd have fun with it.
frr bro i miss those and the bushes 😂
I agree that if they kept it the same it wouldve gotten stale, but also the surge of 100 million players during last November from the OG season kind of makes people want a 24/7 365 OG mode. Or maybe a separate small game which is just old Fortnite with old graphics, and stuff
The simplicity is still why I chose to play fort over something like COD

Epic decisions is nothing but Randomness and bullshit all over the place, anything dumb and cool and popular and loved by fans They adds into Fortnite
I love collabs but I hate how they have nothing to them like when they first collabed it was with Marcel and they added a whole LTM but now we get nothing but a skin
I agree, Fortnite does feel more like roblox then its own game.
the quality of this video is incredible, Nice!
yo thank you i usually edit the entire vids the night before i upload and do an all nighter 😂
Sometimes when I hear the gameplay noises (bus sounds, pickaxe weak spots, zone shrinking) I get this child like nostalgia and joy for a split second.
It’s not so much to no builds as to shrink the skill gap
Fortnite has 230 million active monthly players so it would be nearly impossible for everyone to like or dislike one thing.
I also blame collabs too. It made the game feel like a walking ad instead of stuff that was original. Pretty much every battle pass has at least one collab or something similar
I’ve been saying this since chapter 2 started. Glad people finally realised.
Back here in ch5 s3 and now it’s just rocket league with guns 🤣
no ltms
no fun items
guns suck
graphics suck
locker ui worst ever

lobby ui in general
cosmetics rarieties getting removed
movement changes to goofy ah pubg
chapter 5 gone to far andi feel chapter 6 will be the completely end
but yeh game still alive for some reason
If they don't update it as much as they do now, the game would die fast and they have been listening to the community more since chapter 5 began
The game used to be immersive like save the world, Now it’s for people with the attention span of a goldfish with all the updates coming out
The map looks like a cod war zone map now.
Don’t worry I have no fomo with these item shops cause everything comes back every 2 days 😭🙏
💀 some of the collab skins they be coming once tho
I don’t think its the graphics that make the game lose its charm, its the design of the landscape that makes it feel all strange and modern. The old Fortnite map was mainly a simple green colour with a desert area and an iceberg, now we have far more realistic areas instead of the simplistic/cartoonish design
Fortnite won’t be bringing back the Greek mythology items
They removed them for the collab items to make sure there isn’t too many mythics in the game but are removing the avatar event from the game on May 2nd
After the Avatar event is over on May 3rd the Star Wars stuff will return so they will replace the avatar stuff with lightsabers which will last till the end of the season on May 24th
yea that makes sense but i thought they were returning early may 😭
@@808savionThey will lol. There are some quests for them too so they need to return
removing rarities is a huge issue imo because of how much originally the legendary and epic skins were priced at, people spent 2k on a legendary just for it to be undistinguishable from would be a epic now, the price point being significant as most skins now are 1200-1500 and with that being removed, theres no reason for any of them to previously being worth 2k
I hate the unnecessary ui changes especially the locker rarity and etc
game died when they changed the movement
- clip hitter
Creative maps should've stayed under the creative portal lobby thing, or shouldve been put on a seperate menu.
what we have now isint 'fortnite' its just a roblox style game with UE5 graphics

There were npcs for ages
Glad someone else has talked about this. Fortnite feels like a different game now cause of all the changes, crossovers etc
The guns feel so weird to use.
I kinda made amends with the fact that Fortnite has no identity other than being the “everything game”, but it really says something about the direction they’re giving to the game when the vocal minority is now the people than want Fortnite to be Fortnite again, specially with than D23 Fortnite expo
Also, I kinda lied when I said I was a Fortnite fan since 2020, because I actually played Ch1 S3 and Season 4, I left the game bc my Xbox died but I played those.
The old animations were boring wdym?
I joined the game in early 2021, and you said EXACTLY what's on my mind
I started playing during chapter 4 season 2 so I don’t know how seasons before that felt but I’m having the time of my life. I love playing the game and already have about 500 hours which is around 2h per day for about one year. Chapter 5 felt a lot less charming but imo the gameplay is still unbelievably fun.
We already know this and it lost its identity during chapter two somewhere
ive heard that the Ceo of Epic Games Wants to change Fortnite so it becomes some kind of metaverse Like Roblox
At least the didn’t remove the old mythical of this season bc that and the avatar mythical would just make the guns obsolete
for me, i haven’t played in a couple weeks. i didn’t play c5 s1 for like a month or two and i barely played chapter 4 . the only seasons i have played nearly every day in the past 1-1.5 years is ch4 s3 and OG season. idk what it is but the game just hasn’t been fun. the UI is really bad but doesn’t make it unplayable. the gameplay is alr and the graphics are good. i think the worst thing abt fortnite rn is epic games. they are slowly changing things what don’t need to be change. such as the skin rarities. like i don’t think i single soul even wanted skin rarities gone. i don’t think fortnite will die anytime soon but i def see it having a massive falloff by the end of this year or mid next year. yapping over.
I did not expect them to remove the greek weapons that's just the dumbest thing ever
Removing the Greek mythics in this very Greek Gods season like Bruh 💀
They were so ass 💀
At this point it is a dancing simulator for literally every viral character. Fortnite is just cashing in on popular characters
Played BR since the very first season and loved the OG season. They finally ruined it enough that I haven't played BR since December. I just play lego, escape rooms, and prop hunts now.
I’ve also been playing since season 1, ever since chapter 3 season 2 I’ve not been playing battle royale properly till Season OG, after that ended I stopped playing battle royale constantly and hardly play it anymore
i could care less about cartoony or realistic graphics, its the fact that they got rid of all the small, silly things like the confetti when you score in soccer and the fun challenges :(
broo i forgot ab the soccer lol
Money is the reason.
One thing I hate abt Fortnite rn is how there isn't as much originality in events, skins and battlepasses, I miss skins like venture or raptor, omega, the trex costume guys but now it's all collabs and it doesn't even feel like Fortnite like them having the collabs but they have too much of it like the guns piss me off now, like they had the style, sounds and gunplay was better it felt like Fortnite now the guns are just like any other shooter game
truu now its just a bunch of random stuff but before it all kinda fit in its own way

The whole notion of the game dieing out if it was still the same old br is a wild take, the most played games of all time are the games that have a solid base and refine that, no major changes, no new stuff just to be new, just perfection of what it is

But that is just crazy to me.
i was actually surprised how good the skins looked cause i didnt know how they would make them match the heights and all that lol
I had lvl 200 in season 1, now i quit lol. Yea, i don't fw Mythology.
No.
Well said . I wholeheartedly agree.
Someone finally said it , the truth
10:01 dayum that landing was sick
😂😂
5:20 i personally didn't like the graphics change because it took up lots of storage
I hate how the menu looks now. its just so corprate and lifeless (funny because fortnite is now owned by two megacorporations) but they just stripped all the remaining charm from the menu.
I Was quite new to Fortnite as I started in chapter 3 but I do remember watching my brothers play and I understand how simple and beautiful it used to be 😮
Fortnite is a nice game overall but it really lost it's identity. But thankfully there is UEFN where you can make OG styled maps
They relying heavily on the collab, now we get Greek gods in Fortnite like What?
Now that fortnite isn't considered a br, they should just bring the old versions and make mini passes similar to the festival pass
I feel like the realism is also cause Epic Games also makes the unreal engine the game runs on and epic has been REALLY pushing the capabilities of their engine and they often cite Fortnite as an example of it all
Changes are needed to keep people interested... I honestly just wish they would make good item shops again.
Great video bro. You really hit every main point 💯💯
yo thanks bro 🙏
