  • Kaddu ki khatti mithi sabzi is a delightful North Indian dish made from pumpkin (kaddu) cooked in a tangy and sweet gravy. The pumpkin is simmered in a blend of spices, including cumin, turmeric, and red chili powder, then balanced with a touch of sweetness from jaggery or sugar and a tanginess from tamarind . This dish offers a harmonious fusion of flavors, making it a comforting and flavorful addition to any meal

This comes close to Bengal's " kumror chhakka"( diced pumpkin) along with paanch phoron( whole spices which Harpal added separately, we bongs keep this premixed as paanch phoron in our kitchen.) We also add pre boiled lal chana to our kumror chhakka. This goes well with our maida luchi. We don't add imli water but add sugar n hing alright.
