  • Brian and Chris talk about the features and benefits of Honeywell Homes' PRV's (Pressure Regulating Valves)! Too much water pressure can destroy your appliances and cause hidden leaks that cause damage over time. Using a PRV is the best way to dial in the pressure you need.

Thank you guys for this video! Saved me from having to call a plumber! Our builder had ours set to 30 psi, our faucets would trickle water out. Lord help me if i had a bit of food on my dishes.

how do you attach a gauge on this? I searched everywhere including Honeywell's manuals...found nothing!

Maybe mine is defective or it is just a P.O.S. Not working. What happened to the standard pressure valve with a screw ( Left = pressure down... Right = pressure up.)

Probably 3 to 5 years depending on wear and tear

Protip for anyone who might come across this video who is confused/stuck about how to adjust the pressure:
Loosen the screw several turns. No idea why this video insists on not touching the screw. How else can an adjustment be made? Next, pull out on the green knob - it will pop out by several millimeters (just a slight amount). This allows for the adjustment. Turn the green knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to increase or decrease the pressure. Now, here's the protip: you have to turn the knob 2 or 3 full revolutions, and the pressure indicator number will SLOWLY change. The black inside part with the numbers does NOT stay in one spot as you rotate the green knob. Rather, it moves with the green knob, and as you make several revolutions, you'll notice the numbers slowly but surely change. For whatever reason, this is not intuitive to non-plumbers (myself included) as it seems as if the green knob should pop out further while the black inside part would not move. Anyway, once you've done the adjustment, pop the green knob back in, tighten the screw, and replace the black cap.

Interesting, All i had to do was pop off the black cover and rotate the dial, no need to loosen the screw or pull on the green knob for me.

Thank you very much for the actual how to. Probably would of tried to return it if not for you. Wonder if they manufacture two different ways. People reply the way they say to do it in the video worked for them, but not for mine.
      Thanks brother

Thank you for explaining this. I have spent the last few hours searching TH-cam and Google trying to figure this out. You are a hero.

Too late. I unscrewed the screw until it fell to the floor. What now? The cover did say, “Loosen the screw to adjust.”

I also followed the instructions, which says to loosen the screw one turn counterclockwise then adjust the pressure. I tired and the arrow moved with the number so I stopped screwing with it.

@@marko6394 I ran into the same problem. You have to the loosen the screw, otherwise an adjustment can't be made. Next, pop out the green knob (it'll pop out just a few millimeters). Finally, start turning the green knob - but you have to do two or three full revolutions, not just a slight quarter or half turn. You'll see the arrow and number SLOWLY change.
