I'm a norwegian and my grandfather took me to a game where Wolverhampton played against a team from rural Norway (Grue il) and wolves won 11-0 in the early 70s.
Brighton fan here but I would like to give huge credits to the team for doing this video for their 70th anniversary.💛💛 Best of luck for the rest of the season Wolves from a Brighton fan. 💙💙
Cheers Courtney. As a lifelong Wolves fan born up there now living in Sompting this warms the cockles of my heart that you acknowledge this achievement. Really admire the Brighton story and the recent challenges that you have overcome! 🥰
Thankyou so much Brighton fan your doing really well this season wish we had the same fight your team are so well established well done for the season 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊
hayra magyarok, yes aim Hungarian born and a wolves fan for over 2 decades..its a special place in our hearts the connection we have with the English lads...
This brings tears to my eyes to see how we were then and where we are now. This was all I heard as a kid from my Dad who went in the fifties also how we beat Real Madrid etc. it might be a long haul but we can still get back there. Buckley's babes and all. Come on lets not accept what is going on now Let's give the boys an old fashioned Molineux roar on Saturday. My eyes have seen the glory of the cubs of Molineux and the Wolves go marching on. Out of darkness cometh light. Wolves ay we.
Wolves are still a well known and well supported club in the far east as they were the 1st team that so many people saw play live on TV all those years ago!!
As a South bank ST holder, I'm obviously well aware of Wolves history and especially the 50's period in particular, my dad never stops going about it. This is a great little film, I'm glad they have put this together, great to hear from Ron Atkinson and seeing George Best showing the love too! Great stuff!
My dad was at the Honved game and always used to talk about it He loved the team Wright Hancock broadbent flowers Mullen Then as a lad in the late 60s early 70s I loved them to Dougan wagstaff Bailey Curran Gould hibbert mcalliog I still remember the Arsenal game where they put 5 past them ❤️
Lovely documentary. Recently went to the museum with my dad, it's a great collection. I remember the 1993 rematch. 1-1 I think, I recall it not being as exciting as billed.
Old Gold & Black blood pumps through my veins... 🧡🖤 No matter who the manager is, which league we are in, or the players we have in our team this is an institution that galvanises this proud city of Wolverhampton!
I’m 68 …..I just hope that someone up there gives me a chance of seeing my Wolves win something significant before I shuffle off my immortal coil …. Can but dream.
I remember going to the 1993 match against Honved which was to celebrate the official opening of the renovated stadium. If I recall correctly Paul Birch RIP had a good game, lots of skills and tricks. Wolves started as a club St Lukes after the local church in the area I grew up in Wolverhampton and played in as a kid, there's still even a Wanderer's Avenue named after the club in the Blakenhall area, and the Phoenix Park where they played, just off the Dudley Road.
Unfortunately never got to see this game - dad was villa supporter so couldn''t go , but i can remember the team that were all my heroes - Finlayson,Stuart,Harris,Clamp,Slater,Flowers,Deeley, Mason, Murrary Broadbent, Mullen. Heroes all.
little did anyone know that just nine moths after Wolves: Champions of Europe one Frenchman decides to create the European Cup which became the Champions League 70 years later it has become the biggest competition in the world outside of the world cup
Honved is just one of many teams from Budapest, it's swimming team features today Hungary's current sporting superstar Kristof Milak who races for that team that Puskas played for when he was the first Hungarian sporting superstar in 2026, Budapest will host it's First ever Champions League Final it also happens to be what would have been Ferenc Puskas 100th Birthday, Puskas was Born on 1st April 1926, the stadium is named after him, Puskas Arena after his 2006 death, you can be sure that Kristof Milak will be involved with the Budapest Champions League Final, Maybe as UEFA's Choice as Ambassador for the final
My dad went to the match, he said the atmosphere was like nothing he had ever experienced in his life, it was a great pity that they went down hill when the European cup started.
Why Fosun out on this vid? We can watch videos of our glorious past on dozens of TH-cam accounts … they are pumping this out now to distract t from the train wreck Fosun is overseeing … Ps I’ve copied and pasted this mods so unless you let this stick I will keep you up all night
Today your team players were no active. So, this game was loose. Your coach need to change,if it is not your team will relegation at the end of the season.

Please give Justin Hubner a chance to play because he is a talented young player.
A fantastic documentary love me babies 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤ wolves for life ❤❤❤
Bring back the goat jose mourinho.
We could do with that mechanical ball launcher now. It could help Wolves defenders deal with set pieces 😖
Wolves was good when Nuno was there.
We wuz on our way back til Fosun pulled the plug - they are now asset stripping … SHI OUT FOSUN OIUT!
