@@RolandDeschain1 I think where they others fail is they frame it like "I'm a drum tech for this big famous band!" instead of "Here's what the job of a drum tech is like"
Been playing for 40 years +. Who remembers how much of a pain it was before memory locks? Getting the same set up night after night was tiring. Tape on the stands and arms was helpful but memory locks was a game changer! Awesome video as always Matt.
That was such a beautiful moment when Ronnie thanked the whole crew. You hear that far too rarely from artists. We as technicians are never seen. As someone sitting in the audience, that really touched me.
It's super interesting how much the snare drum is pitched and modulated by FOH. I would LOVE to see you talk with the FOH engineer about how they mix Luke's drums. Pretty please with an ice cold DC on top.
Man Luke just keeps getting better and better and idk how because you would think he is already one of the best in the world but the way he played on this night was a cut above the rest. Amazing set fellas.
Cologne is one of the few places in Germany where big rockers play live. This is awesome to see. Happy new year, Matt and Luke, cheers to more drum tech POVs this 2025.
Love the videos where you're in an arena, the sheer sound of the drums during the line check is awesome and then the crowd during the show. Can't wait for more this year.
I’m from Scotland but I lived in Cologne for a few years. Seen some incredible shows in that arena, one being the Fellowship of the Ring with a live orchestra. Cried my eyes out 😂 Great to see the venue from the other side and love that even in a place that size they stick with the sweaty sandwich meats too 😂
Matt, STFC England, thank for 2024. Can’t wait for more Drum Tech POV in 2025. BTW the peanut butter guy almost put me off peanut butter- almost. Thank mate and happy new year to Y’all
I watched the Rammstein tour setup...suddenly this tours seems barebones. I like that the band can flow in and a few hours later play the show, tear down and leave...I like that better.
Matt I used Moongels when they first came out and my drummer fought me the whole way.Took him a while to realize they were a godsend for floor toms and snares...lol
It's a shame we won't get to see you set up in UK venues. I was looking forward to recognizing a few places. I hope the rest of the European tour goes well
The amount of work and dedication you put in - passion and attention to details, kudos! I am sure Luke really appreciates working with you. On a side note we need Zombified 1 - 2 version :)))) Also, what's with the XLRs running from the snare and toms? Are those some sort of triggers?
was always curious about what was the main purpose of those snareweights and if correct, they are on there to dampen the sound when the snare is hit, but still giving it the option to breathe when hit really hard
Man how did you get this job must be so fun. Ngl it is my dream job. How did you get into being a tech for this big of a group? Any tips on what I can do to get into it like yourself? Btw I am 15 and love your Shit man keep up the good work!
I have an idea, I don’t know if it’ll work but I want to see tear down. Like after a show I want to see how long and what you do with the drum set. This is just an idea and it probably won’t work, but yeah.
STF CREW!! Question either for Matt or anyone who knows, what song you play in sound check (like not the crew jam one cause I know that’s Zombified). I remember you had said what song it was in an earlier video but I love that Tom grove in it
I know what’s going g through his head; “I should be playing in a MUCH better band. I’m so much better than these guys, but at least I’m making bank!” 😂 #StarttoFinishCrew #Exceptforthecrewjam #Thatpizzalooksterribleandisundercookedfiercly 😂

Happy new year,Matt😊thx for entertaining!
Ive seen a number of drum techs follow in your footsteps and start to do day-in-the-lifes now, but this is still the best.
Often imitated, never duplicated. Matt’s got the best videos that just scratch that itch.
I noticed that. too. But they seem to miss the most important element... THE CATERING!!!
I like that he doesn't use the band/band's name to kinda promote his videos; It's just him, doing his job, for whatever band.
@1RungAtATime yeah he doesn't need to, But it is nice that the band allows him to do that.

It was gentlemanly of you to let Luke play your drum set. He owes you one.
That was such a beautiful moment when Ronnie thanked the whole crew.

This was the best Luke drumming and camera angle I've seen yet! Awesome vid. Congrats on a successful tour!
It looks like you were giving CPR to the Snare at 6:09. These are awesome videos! Please keep them coming in the future.

SIIF Crew!!! You are welcome, man! Thx for great entertainment! Happy holidays!
You're adding more flames? Damn lol. No shit the crew says "Well done" at the end of the show haha. Dope video as always!
You and tank the tech do the best POV's
Wow Matty, what a tour! Thanks so my for the content ma dude. Have a great break.
Love to watch your videos matt, I hope Falling in Reverse will also tour here in phillippines.
I can’t tell you how many times I say “measure once, cut twice” just to see people’s faces 😂
still the best in the business dude....well done bro
Luke needs to get you a raise ‘lol’ for looking out for him with the flames.
Happy New Year Bro! Watching from Philippines!
Happy New Year! And thanks for the video. Amazing!!
Matt, STFC England, thank for 2024. Can’t wait for more Drum Tech POV in 2025. BTW the peanut butter guy almost put me off peanut butter- almost. Thank mate and happy new year to Y’all
Love these. another stay to the end worthy video!!
Thank you Matt...another prime vid..Great job.
Love the videos!
Another great video!
Your shirt! lol the face reflection got me at first on the kick!
damn man when you put the foot on the kick during line check and hear that shit resonate all the way through the arena must feel good !
Never gets old man. Never gets old.
I watched the Rammstein tour setup...suddenly this tours seems barebones. I like that the band can flow in and a few hours later play the show, tear down and leave...I like that better.
That Rammstein video was bonkers. A day and-a-half to set up and only four hours to tear it all down.
Two Words... MIRACLE WHIP!!!!
Matt I used Moongels when they first came out and my drummer fought me the whole way.Took him a while to realize they were a godsend for floor toms and snares...lol
Was disapoined the birds didnt make an appearance ;) But always nice to hear from hey-one-two before the show.
It's a shame we won't get to see you set up in UK venues. I was looking forward to recognizing a few places. I hope the rest of the European tour goes well
Luke is such a fantastic drummer...

Yes! Another one!
Thanks for the video
Nice stream
❤❤❤❤
These videos make my day man. Something about a cool job and nice person is super refreshing. Your guitar tech friend is the tits also. :)
drums are warped like crazy 😂
let’s goooooo
STF CREW!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Cologne Germany and no schnitzel in the buffet....sacrilege 😮
was always curious about what was the main purpose of those snareweights and if correct, they are on there to dampen the sound when the snare is hit, but still giving it the option to breathe when hit really hard
It's to cut down on the drum just ringing out so you're just getting the crack of the transient.
Hi Matt , I'm new to your live stream and I love your videos and fir to
Matt, do you have any videos that show the breakdown process and retiring for the night?
What type of cymbal memory locks are you using for the cymbals feet?
Drill bit drum key for removing heads and getting them back on before finger tight?
Man how did you get this job must be so fun. Ngl it is my dream job. How did you get into being a tech for this big of a group? Any tips on what I can do to get into it like yourself? Btw I am 15 and love your Shit man keep up the good work!
Stands are not the favorite part of Anyone's day! LOL! I've helped set up my drummer many times and he always sticks me with the stands! LOL
Is the intro to one of their songs the J5's ABC?? or am i trippin? 43:17 lol
Pledge on cymbals? Guess it works good for keeping the dust off. How often by they get cleaned?
No buildup problems on the cymbals using the Pledge?
30:42 Did i just hear Down with the sickness?
You mentioned Tarkov. Did you get into DMZ when it was active too?
I have an idea, I don’t know if it’ll work but I want to see tear down. Like after a show I want to see how long and what you do with the drum set. This is just an idea and it probably won’t work, but yeah.
you go to Portugal this year ,right?
Wish you were here, Incubus, my man, just fell in love with you even more
Lazy Susan? Where is it?
STF CREW!! Question either for Matt or anyone who knows, what song you play in sound check (like not the crew jam one cause I know that’s Zombified). I remember you had said what song it was in an earlier video but I love that Tom grove in it
Incubus, Wish You Were Here
How do you guys get Luke’s kit to Germany? I thought for sure I’d be seeing a house kit…
STF Crew!!!!!
They can try and copy but its no substitute for the best IYKYK. Quick question did you stop setting up the practice kit
STF crew ready!!!
STF Crew!
Have you ever had the situation where you're on tour and you were asked to drum tech for more than the band you were working for?
I am wondering, does his monitor only be a earset? No speakers?
He needs the click track, bruh'.
Catering, sweaty meat sandwich….. well that was disappointing! 😮😂😂
Maybe put some of your drum tracks in place of the copyright audio?🤞🏼🤞🏼
Who pissed in your corn flakes?! 😂
STF crew!
There are so many russian-speaking ukrainians or poles in the arena. How do you like them?
Why is Luke sit so far away from the others?
The pyro. There has to be a minimum distance for humans both in front and behind it.
And , there is no cover behind him on a high stage.
WHERE IS WILLARD?????
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH HIM????
He was there, covered in peanut butter for some reason.
Although I assume that with Willard there never needs to BE a reason.
Matt Horn ,in Germany the staff speaks Russian 😂
2:49

the deli meat looks like sars
Guessing he knew that the UK was cancelled by then. A little downer tbh.
Tbh, Delta Force is better; albeit I've never played Extraction cos I'm an old-school BF3 tanker, so Warfare all the way.
DF looks fun. I need to get that soon. I'm still fuckering around with Grey Zone. I miss the laid back feel of DMZ tho
This is like bad conference food......what's up with that?
I spent six weeks with a bunch of Germans and they will have just sliced deli meets and crappy bread as their whole dinner. Usually on a Sunday.
