I would be crying and dancing the whole time. Skinny Puppy has been my favorite band since I was 13. I am about to be 40 this year. They will always be my favorite band. ❤
I am a big Skinny Puppy fan and have been for...a long while. That being said, I'm glad that they decided to put this long-in-the-tooth dog to sleep (hopefully) once and for all.
I remember hearing "Dig It" on the Toronto's CFNY "alternative radio" in 1987. Weeks later, I was on a quest to buy everything I could find of Skinny Puppy. I was at a used records store, and found the Remission EP on vinyl. Was I in for a treat! I think I blew Dad's Radio Shack speakers to this! (sorry Dad) Cool story...there was some liner notes about contacting them via Nettwerk Records. I wrote a letter asking for lyrics for the album, thinking it would never happen. 3 weeks later I got several pages of hand written lyrics!! (photocopied, but still really cool!) This was pre-internet and I loved lyrics to sing along to and get to know the content. Sadly, after buying Bites/Remission on CD I sold the record with lyrics inside the sleeve. One of the most stupid things I've ever done. The album cover of the skeleton was so damn cool! The crackly sound of vinyl as this song starts was so cool waiting for it to blast through the speakers.
I've missed that show in Montréal, for the life of me, I still cannot figure out why I've missed the news about it. I've just turned 52, I've been following them since I was 15 or 16. It bums me out. Hey, at least I did not miss Front242's farewell tour last October.
@@iamanisland Si c'est ca, je paierais pour une réplique exacte de Too Dark Park Tour (aussi intense qu'il était, pas la version diluée de Skinny actuelle).
The best always go out with a bang, and SP is doing it the correct way. Unlike Kmfdm. Amazing though, we still have Claus Larsen delivering masterpieces every year. Still a great time and chance for music.
I swear Claus is MORE amazing live than his studio recordings - every single one. Looks like his recent tour was amazingly successful. I hope he makes it to the West Coast in the U.S. again (last I saw him was about 10 years ago).
They’ve still got it. Takes me back to the mid 80s.. dancing till I dropped. Skinny Puppy are legends!
Puppys best song. Great filming too, thnx for sharing! :)

Bummed they didn't play this in Houston , still a great fuckin show tho
There's literally nothing else like them.
Great video! Thanks for posting. Long live Skinny Puppy!

🌚🖤
So happy I saw SP on this tour! So sorry they’re calling it quits. So fn amazing 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for sharing!
We can clearly see Oger's smile all along. ^^
Maybe that's because he's not wearing a mask.
I saw them for 2 dark park and last rights tour. 2DP was in Dallas and LR was in Houston.
calisse. vancouver show was nice, too :) this is great. what a bunch of GIANTS,
"Smothered Hope is the first song on the debut album of Canadian electro-industrial band Skinny Puppy"
I saw SP in Tampa, 1988 in a small bar with a stage (can't remember the name). A very young and fresh Ministry opened for them. It was either part of or just before their Mind Tour. Fucting© incredible and intimate show. Their opener was "God's Gift (Maggot)", Nivek was behind this shadow-box thing about the size of a phone booth. He had the light behind him and all you could see was his shadow.. he had this puppet or something that he was flailing around depicting his vocals.
Surreal shit for sure.
The TDP show was super gnar surreal also……not to be duplicated
Cool filter 🥰

I was lucky enough to catch their VivisectVI tour as well as Too Dark Park. Craziest concerts I have ever been to!

The best live version of this song was recorded at Dolce Vita in 1986.
Final tour…. So sad about that
They said the same in mid 90s...
They didn't do a second encore in Denver so I didn't get to see this song live one last time.
One of the best Bands of all times
👍
Ministry covered this on the b-side to "Stigmata". After that, I determined Skinny Puppy was my favorite industrial machine.
thanks for posting!
Ohgr is clearly paying a tribute to Keith Levene by mimicking the latter´s " Dub all pain " video dance moves
I didnt even know they came tabanak!
Peut-être qu’ils vont faire des tournées d’adieu à répétition comme les Eagles 😉
Câlisse moi non plus 😐

@phyrr2 we saw Claus maybe 5 years ago and talk about an amazing guy. The show was awesome, he was nice as could be and everyone had a great time.
They didnt play it at Atlanta sadly
Who is the guitarist?
I am not sold.... nice imitation, I don't feel the true horror.
What does the guitarist??? Nothing and that’s good!😉 Brap on! 👋👍👍
What happened with the distorted vocals what the fuck
