Every time I hear the part about the ice pick I kind of tear up. Those kids cared and I'm so grateful for their intervention and Ogre's willingness to hear them.
I have always had a lot of respect for Skinny Puppy. Glad Ogre is in a good place now at 60. These things take time and unfortunately many never reach it. Hope this helps others out there suffering.
I truly thank the person who filmed this; it is such an amazing insight into Orge's mindset. He's an humanist at this core, and an intelligent, creative and powerful human being, and quite humble in regard to his many people talents. My husband has been a fanatic of all of his music for decades; I met my husband when we were both 16 and have been together since then. He is now 43 and I'm 42. We went to two of their shows on this tour and it was cathartic for him seeing SP complete their musical journey. My husband cried all the way through "Worlock", embarrassing so (from his prospective), but I think it's not something to be ashamed of. SP has been a huge part of his life and therfore, our lives for so long. It's wild how music guides you through life; the ups and downs, highs and lows...its a journey. I think it's beautiful. I am SO grateful for all the music through the years, and beyond that, humbled to have been part of it, seeing Orge perform with SP back in the late 1990s through a few months ago. I just don't have the words to describe it properly, so I'm rambling to a bunch of strangers who might read this... Thank you. Just thank you.
Ogre, everybodys favorite part of the show is when you take off the mask and do the encore and we get to see your very beautiful and smiling face. . blooded or not. Its seeing you and seeing that you are ok and healthy and still you under there that we are excited to see #staySkinny

met him last week, really sweet guy and really nice human being. They put on a great show and it was wonderful. anyone spreading nonsense are idiots and not worthy of the music.
Lack of pretension for such a provocative and theatrical band is not an easy thing to do. I'm glad I got to see you live finally. Was on my bucket list.
To me, Skinny Puppy's music has always been about all the horrific shit out there in the world and how it gets thrown at you and you have to be stronger than it and not let it overtake you. I find it very uplifting and inspiring and it has always been there for me in good times and bad. Great speech Ogre. I wish I could give you a big hug! I hope there's another leg of the tour they book and I can see them again one last time
I was at the Montreal show, it was my first time seeing them live and (probably the last if it's really their last tour). I was blown away and it was everything I could have asked for. The crowd was mostly Gen X or boomers. They were the ones who have seen the band at their most crazy era and I feel like these were the ones making most of the complaining online. These guys are in the 60s... You can't expect them to get on stilts, wear multiple elaborate costumes and drench themselves in blood every night for more than a month. People have become spoiled and have unrealistic standards. I think that the Kevins had great energy at the show, a lot more than I would have thought considering their age, especially considering how hard it is on the body and mind to tour. I found that the show was even better once all costumes were off. Just Skinny Puppy being their realest selves waving goodbye one last time. If you talk shit about Skinny Puppy because of this, perhaps you were not there for the music and you were there for the wrong reasons.
Jeez, yea I’d say it was the younger crowd. It seems instead of going to shows, music or whatever it may be, if it’s not what their own expectations were,!instead of appreciating the show that is genuinely worked hard on and performed for them, they go right to social media and complain and put some kind of bratty outlook on it. It must suck going through life being and acting that way. Learn to appreciate, understand, and enjoy things instead of putting your own expectations that might no coincide with every other person, or the artist themselves, that it seems they are in a good place in life and it feels they are genuinely happy, and that’s great to see, knowing they have brought us all happiness. Thank you cEvin, Ohgr, Mathew, all members(past n present)of skinny puppy, forever will be a fan of these legends
Dude is 60 and Cevin is 62. He could do it without the theatrics and I would have a great time. Unfortunately they cancelled the show I was supposed to go to. But I’ve seen them 6 times and Ohgr about 3 times so I’ve probably had my fill. Thanks for posting this.
Apparently bands cancel when they come to my city... The lead guy from nitzer ebb didn't show up and now I have a feeling skinny puppy's going to be cancelled. In the Baltimore/DC area. I'm so done going to concerts.
Apparently in Pittsburgh, they weren't told that ohgr cancelled until it was time for him to come on stage. That's unacceptable. Same thing happened to me with nitzer ebb and the venue didn't announce he was gonna no show. Needless to say I'm never going back there for any concert or going to a concert again.

Thank you very much for posting this video. I came on board with Skinny Puppy during the “Rabies” era, seeing them live in Detroit on both their “Too Dark Park” and “Last Rights” tours. After watching some new concert footage and comparing it to my own experiences, like others, I too was underwhelmed by the new stage set-up and theatrics, as well as the zombie-like audience just standing placidly in place with phones raised in unison, filming instead of participating. Where was the raw energy between stage and audience? Doesn’t anyone feel the music? I rode the crowd for the first time in my life at my first Skinny Puppy concert during “Tin Omen”, and stage-dived with blood streaming from my nose at Pigface directly in line of Ogre’s intense eyes back in the early ‘90s. Yesterday, I almost left a negative comment on a recent Skinny Puppy video from this final tour, but stopped myself- I am glad that I did. Authenticity is very important, and lacking in many aspects of society today. We are all older now, and we change, as people naturally do, over the years. I am glad that Ogre is not self-destructing as a form of theater in front of our eyes, and is in a more positive mindset than he used to be when he struggled with his demons on stage. Although I never went as deep into the darkness as Ogre and others did, I too have grown to become a more positive person over time, and deeply appreciate Ogre’s earnestness, authenticity, and overall change for the better. I was lucky to have met him briefly at Motor City Nightmares in 2014, and treasure my old autographed “Too Dark Park” cd album art insert, framed on a wall in my house. There is only a drive in my life for bettering myself, making good memories, and maintaining positive relationships with people. That is all I want…but I do still have one small negative critique of Skinny Puppy’s FINAL tour: Why TWO Ohio shows but ZERO in Michigan? HOW CAN YOU MISS DETROIT?!! Ha ha ha!
