Hi Ness, Thank you so much for sharing this excellent and informative video of Crossed Swords bro. I'm forever grateful that you did so, A pleasure knowing you after all these months and always fantastic to see the latest and greatest on what you offer to the public kind sir. 8^) Thank you a million times over Ness. I owe ya one for sure my man. 8^) Anthony..
Likewise it’s been great getting to know you as well. I really appreciate the support you provide not only for this channel, but other content creators who have a passion for Neo Geo! Thanks again Bro!
Crossed Swords 2 was only on CD, but there was an MVS/AES style home brew made quite a few years back. I actually acquired the AES version recently so I’ll do a review on that one in the future.
@@neo_ness sorry about that, soon as I saw this video, left a reply, I didn't realize until then that you mentioned about Crossed Swords 2 for the neo CD. Alpha Denshi also did other games, like Magician Lord and your World Heroes games. In regards about Crossed Swords II AES conversion, how was it in general when directly compared to the CD version? Was all the music and sfx all kept 100% intact?
@@flashbacks7892 All good! Alpha Denshi had a solid line up of games for the Neo Geo. I haven't received it yet, but from what I have heard glitches and bugs were fixed when designing the AES/MVS version. They were unable to transfer the CD version music so they replaced it with the music from the first game.
@@neo_ness Neo Geo can easily handle the cd quality sound, look at games like Fast Striker and Raizon, crystal clear cd quality sound, not to mention on a Yamaha sound chip that was mainly used in old Taito arcade game, (1987) incredible stuff.
♥️Great video Crossed ⚔️ Swords is a must have for Neo Geo AES collectors. Back in 1991 it was literally nothing else out there like this game on any other system. This game definitively defines why the Neo Geo was special in itself. Fortunately it's one of the more affordable titles that can be obtained and should be part of any collection if you're getting into collecting for the system today.👍😎👌
@@neo_ness 💪You're welcome bud I genuinely enjoy this game and I hope you get a chance to get the sequel. I honesty didn't think I was going to ever get a copy of it but a guy from the FB marketplace had it a few years ago and I was able to buy it from him after inquiring about another game. He was selling the last few games from his collection and CS2 is was one of them. I hope you get it bro because it's a masterpiece in my opinion and it should of been released officially for the AES. I can imagine at the time they were trying to sell the Neo Geo CD systems and decided to keep this game as an exclusive.👍😎👌
Awesome video mate! I just subbed your channel. I am a massive NeoGeo fan/collector from Sydney Australia and thus loved this....Have you played number 2 originally only released on the NeoGeo CD but now moved over to both MVS and AES.
Thanks! I appreciate the sub! I actually just purchased Crossed Swords 2 on AES I'm just waiting for it to arrive. I'll do a review on that one in the future.
❤Definitely pick this title up. It's a great game and a lot of fun once you learn how to defend yourself. Learning the enemy attack patterns will ultimately determine if you you'll survive. Good luck and have fun when you get it my dear. Enjoy!!!!!👍😎👌
I like the third person view a lot BETTER 🗡🛡I'm used to these kinds of game's 🤗 it is a pretty 🆒 knights of the round table arcade was pretty dope too. @NeoNess
💯 Agreed it's indeed very reminiscent of the game Knights of the Round Table. This games tends to come off the shelf often when I get in the mood to play the Neo. The classic arcade hack n slash works well here and Crossed ⚔️ Swords delivers the goods in all departments. This game is a truly high octane medieval video game and that's a fact!!!!!👍😎👌
Medevilllll Tiiiimes absolutely classic lol. I'm disappointed with myself that I haven't played this game yet. You definitely have me interested in this game and will be picking it up this week. Tiberius was on good behavior today those SNK Chaos matches calmed him down lol. The editing on this video was top-notch as usual. Looking forward to your review of Super Spy, Great job on the video Bro.
Medievallll Tiiiimesss! 😂🤣. I honestly hadn’t completed this game until this episode. I like it so much I’m probably going to pick up the sequel in a few weeks. The story was good, the RPG aspect of choice selection in an arcade game I was extremely surprised to find. Definitely a must have. I appreciate you bro!
I think this game is pretty cool, but sometimes it gets a bit repetitive. That cartridge label probably made a lot of people unsure if it was real, including me! I wonder what happened at SNK there...
Yeah I can see the repetitive side of this game. It had just enough story and choice selection to keep me going. It was actually a longer play through than I expected. SNK had some weird inconsistencies sometimes with cart stickers and inserts very odd makes me wonder as well 😅.
You're right Crossed ⚔️ Swords 2 builds upon the original and is a must have if you're a fan of the first installment. I was actually was lucky enough to get an AES cart cd conversion copy. I was skeptical at first but when I received it the game was so well made I literally had no problems with it. The only thing that was compromised with the AES cart is that the music from the CD was substituted for the original music from the first game. Everything else from the sequel is exactly the same. If you can get an AES copy I say to all don't hesitate to buy it because it's beyond fantastic and builds upon the original game making it a true sequel the way it was meant to be without any disappointments.👍😎👌
Having hung out with Razoola a bunch of times, I actually got to see the cartridge version of CS2 while it was being worked on.
Oh that's awesome. I've been enjoying playing it. It was really well done.
Charlie cat, always spreading the love, and checking out even little channels like mine.

I love this game one of four games that got me into neogeo, thanks for sharing this wonderful game, keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
What were the other three? : )
Good game, love to see a remake of this game, part 2, if I remembered correctly, it was for the cd version only.

The second title is even better. It was an exclusive neo geo cd game.
I can’t wait to pick up a copy!

I'm not into Midevil anything, but this kinda looks cool!
Neo Geo really needed some RPG to succeed.. they went all into Arcade mode, thinking it was gonna go forever...
I was playing this on a multi cart the other day but the audio was all messed up
Aw man! The audio is pretty solid for this game. I hear the sequel is better.
