Today we want to test its suitability for traveling and take the Volvo EX30 with us on our trip to Kiel.
We have the Volvo EX30 Single Motor extended range, i.e. rear-wheel drive with a large battery.

The battery doesn't precondition if the expected SoC is < 20% at the station, that's probably why you got terrible charging speeds initially. People have been asking Volvo to drop that limit to 10 or provide a manual precondition button

Regarding the range estimate in the settings menu you can select if you want it to be based on the WLTP range or dinamic which implies it will take into account current driving style, weather, road conditions, etc

Appears the ex30 is doing under 16kw/100 in urban or low speed around town and 22kw/100 for highway and long distance.
