The single one most underrated Iron Maiden song. This is probably on my Iron Maiden top 10 (probably around the position 9 or 10) and people never talk about it.
Our society of today is a very complexed and strange world, anyway Paul is a true metal singer with the blues in his voice, I will listen to the old Maiden records for the rest of my life because music like these keeps my heart young! greetings from holland

The problem with that is we wouldn't have gotten The Number of the Beast or Piece of Mind with Bruce then.... We'd have to slice time and space and split the universe into two.

This is one show I would go to if a time machine existed . I have had a bootleg of this whole show for many years , and it is easily one of my favorite live albums from Iron Maiden. The setlist is PHENOMENAL!!! I wonder why Iron Maiden did not release it, but released an EP of only six songs instead. The first two Iron Maiden albums will always be MASTERPIECES to me.

There isn't any video footage from this concert. Maybe a short TV tour report with some interviews, but not the concert. The first solo is played by Adrian Smith, the second by Dave Murray. Any fan can notice that. Just like on the LP: Dennis Stratton's solo is first (his specific vibrato) and second is Dave's (his legato).
Di'Anno was responsible for the best live performance of an Iron Maiden album (Maiden Japan) surpassing all other live albums released by the band. This song sounds like it was made for his voice. I don't think he's better than Bruce Dickinson, but he's amazing and just as much of a legend, one of the best of all time.

I love both Dianno and Bruce, stop comparing them and saying the other is shit. they have different style but Bruce is way more versatile. But Dianno made Iron maiden the first years, he fitted perfectly for these songs. I think Bruce does a great job singing them though, especially in his early days

Bruce is not way more versatile... Paul is just as versatile but in a different way and style.. If you listen to Paul Diannos solo stuff you would realise.
I remember when this was the only live album you could get for Maiden. Fantastic album cover, I wanted the t-shirt sooo badly. LOL. I forgot the album title in Japanese just says "Woman Japan" (and Japan is squeezed into a single (non-existent) character). Maiden would be 乙女 (young woman). Even then it wouldn't make sense in Japanese. The pun doesn't translate

There is something about this line up that is immeasurable to me than anything since after.
This sound is totally unique still. It's kinda funny there are still bands that totally tries to copy Maiden and Diannos singing style from 80-81 era.

Oh damn... The performance of Clive Burr was truly outstanding. So much feel and the so much power. Best drummer of all. He is my absolute favorite.

This version is from 1981, Adrian Smith play's the first solo and go to the tour with Iron Maiden (Killers Tour)
You can tell Adrian played it because Dave plays both solos on the album.
