Remember Tomorrow (Harris, Di'Anno)
Bruce Dickinson:Vocals
Steve Harris:Bass
Janick Gers:Guitar
Dave Murray:Guitar
Nicko McBrain:Drums
[Lyrics]
Unchain the colours before my eyes
Yesterday's sorrows tomorrow's white lies
Scan the horizon the clouds take me higher
I shall return from out of the fire
Tears for remembrance and tears for joy
Tears for somebody and this lonely boy
Out in the madness the all seeing eye
Flickers above us to light up the sky
Unchain the colours before my eyes
Yesterday's sorrows tomorrow's white lies
Scan the horizon the clouds take me higher
I shall return from out of the fire

''Remember Tomorrow'' is a song from Iron Maiden's album ''Iron Maiden'',released in 1980.
''This song is an old stage favourite. The crowds used to be really into this one. Paul Di'Anno wrote the lyrics to it. I wrote the music. Actually I played him the parts I had and he worked it out. There's a lot of feeling in this song. Mind you I think any song should be filled with feeling. But on the slow parts of this one I think there is that extra measure.'' (Steve Harris)
''According to Di'Anno, this song is about his grandfather, although the meaning of the lyrics is somewhat obscure. It is a relatively slow-tempo song, with both acoustic and power guitar parts and another great instrumental and solo.
Some people have suggested that Di'Anno's grandfather may have been a Royal Air Force pilot during World War II. This is illustrated by sentences like "the clouds take me higher" (the pilot's view from his aircraft), linked to "I shall return from out of the fire" (the hope of the pilot that he'll survive the combat). Moreover, "Out in the madness the all seeing eye/Flickers above us to light up the sky" may refer to the searchlights during a bombing raid. Although there is no evidence that this is true, it does make sense somehow.''
'Iron Maiden', released on April 14, 1980, is the debut album by the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden.Every song on this album except 'Strange World' has since been recorded by the Dickinson-fronted line-up of the band, either on live albums, on studio B-Sides, or both.
Niko McBrian : The happiest drummer ever!! :D
Wow! I thought the same! He transmits that!!
Not as good or consistent as Clive Burr
@@killerinstinctstudios9065 , man, you are nuts. Clive was a hell of a drummer but Nicko is far better than him...
Also DM the most underrated guitarist in history
@@ricardoaugusto5317 there's no better. they both very good
GREAT VERSION ...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite song of iron.maiden thanks ❤🎸 🎶
...meine also ❤❤
Also, Bruce's vocals are incredibly smooth. And he's so young in this clip too.
He's actually about 35 which is young but not for rock stars...a lot of them blew their voice by that age. Just about this time his best time period begins - mid 90s to mid 2000s
@@zb10948Really ? I think his best vocals were '82/'88 ... after "Seventh son of the seventh son" he started singing with a forced growl... whether it was on purpose or not...I don't know...but we like what we like huh !
@@philipholmes5884 The more raspy style was used on only 3 albums, Tatooed Millionaire, No Prayer and Fear of the dark, arguably the worst 3 albums Bruce sang on in the 90s. From 1994 he did not use the style anymore and his best singing of the career is on Skunkworks, Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding. Young Bruce has more power in his voice but way less control. He could never do something like Strange Death in Paradise back in early 80s
Please! He's is no match for Di'Anno's dynamic range, and buttery smooth vocals on Iron Maiden's first two albums.
@@bobweiram6321 what, di'anno had basically no range
I miss Paul Di'Anno everytime I hear this tune. But I remember there's more. F/////g Dickinson. Gotta love them, both.
Def prefer Paul singing this one for sure.
Bruce was pretty bad on this tour. It's becuase he had completley lost interest in Maiden, and knew he was leaving. Thank god he is back and better than ever now.
Bruce's performance in this concert is faaaaaar from what he is capable of. Difficult times for Maiden, especially for Steve!
The problem was the whole audience knew, it killed the vibe of the show.
I agree. Later he sang this song again ( I think in Rock in Rio 2001) and he sound MUCH better.
@@NoNameUwUxX 2005 Early Days tour.
Best Band in the World ever!
behind of Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd the best ;)
Yeeees!
Alice in chains
@@DgeminisM they are boring
Dave was on fire in this era
He had to make up for missing Smith
He suddenly became the better, cleverer guitarist in Maiden so he had to live up to it!
WOW!!!!! Love when Steve Harris points his bass, to the crowd!!
Very great version. I forgot how the band was raw and powerful at the time.
Not bad but this era (1992-1998) was their nadir.
@@benedictdonald4338 for sure. I saw them several times for the no prayer, fear of era... the. X factor and virtual... such a slap on the face. Loved blaze as a dude... but the voice...lost in 2 songs... off tune... etc. Seeing maiden playing 500 people rooms was sad... though cozy
Sensacional. Bruce mito. Harris genio. Nicko espetacular.
ohhhh yessss.......lighters instead phones !!!!!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Was 1992 no smartphones..
Ok!!! 😉👍👍🤘🤘
Best comment in years
No bruce sir
If I remember correctly, when Bruce Dickinson was auditioning for the band this song was the one that him the job It was either this song or( strange world )
Super.. Bruce!!!
Legit first time hearing Bruce singing this. Amazing!!
I am also 🙂
check out the 82’ version it was the b side of the number beast single
There's an even better version. He's first live recording with the band. Got hold of it on a bonus cd to Number of the Beast
Paul and Bruce both are super heroes.blaze is a also 90s icon .
Except Blaze today puts '90s Blaze to shame.
No Bruce no party
Dave impressionante!
look at that drum set
The Live at Ullevi version still the best interpretation of the song.
No.
nope .
Tiberius Caesar agree with you
Yes!
Maiden japan es la mejor version. En mi opinion. Saludos desde Argentina
Excellent Bruce!!!
Nobody sings like Bruce!!! The greatest vocalist of heavy metal music!!!
Not the' greatest, but for sure up there as one of...
BS!! THIS SONG IS PAULS.
I agree...
Very beautiful sincere song
Brilliant.
talking about this song, yes, Bruce can sing everything, and he is more "professional", among the 10 best Metal vocalists of all time, but Paul feels it and this can be noticed in the atmosphere, Paul takes you there, in his dimensional authentic vibes!
Maybe it's because I'm a stupid guitar player. But Davey's legato takes me there. Could care less who's singing ^^
I feel the same, the intonation is completely different, the emotion that Paul emits through his voice is way beyond. Bruce is not going through the motions, but not really into it either, he is too much concentrated on his singing perhaps I don't know. Paul gives it an eerie, dreamlike, outwordly quality.
It was one of The last gigs Bruce sang as the Maiden's frontman. You see he was not willing to sing it as he always did, and does nowadays. He was not comfortable, and it is obvious in this video
Even Bruce was as you think uncomfortable singing it. He still sounds god dam brilliant
This is when Bruce had announced his departure from the band, their final gig in fact, imagine how gutted they were.
I didn't know this little fact until I read this, but I definitely noticed that his performance felt very half-hearted.
Also Bruce announced he was leaving before this tour but the band had booked a tour anyway (maybe they thought he would change his mind) so Bruce wasn't happy about it.
You can tell. I love bruce. But he just seems unhappy here
Excelente banda, excelente tema
bruce and paul great singers leave this comparison the voices... its different
Nie zaśpiewał tylko " Strange world ". Szkoda...
Very very very rare version love it
Lindíssima música demais
woah! never seen this. thought i'd seen it all
Love it.
Musically it sounds amazing I just wish bruce would do the high parts like in the original. I know bruce does them during other years. It's great hearing this classic from the pre Bruce era.
Sensaaaaaacional!
Classico 🤘🤘
This tour had the best setlist ever!
this is Maiden's song. not di'Anno, not Bruckinson.
3:25 Transylvania's riff.
Wow right before Bruce left, hell it could have been that very night after the show.
nah. Bruce's last show was on August 28 '93, this was in May. definitely the tail end of his first run in Maiden but certainly not his last gig
Esse som eh do caralhooooo
Um dos mais classicos!
Excelente. Gracias
I love this Song!Remember Paul!
Ich liebe den Song!Vergesst nicht und erinnert Euch an Paul!
Bruce going "Axl Rose" at the end with the vocals
I love this guys :)
UP THE IRONS!
Nicko just cannot handle the song with the kind of soulful touch that Burr had. He charges in with a more metal mindless feel that spoils it, and Bruce is trying but just not capable of what Di'anno had.
You probably haven't seen Steve saying that he didn't want the punk sound in the band which was s good reason to allow nicko to give it his touch.
PERFEITA !!!!
Killers is the best album ever
This song is for Paul,
Yes i agree & it should ONLY be sung by Paul !!!
The best, i love this song, Nico destroyer de drums
David Argel not as good a Clive Burr!
RIP 🙏🏻
This video rules!!!!!!!!!! very googd!!!!!

Aguante maiden🇨🇱❤❤
Bruce is great and I love all tree eras of Maiden .but anything is better than the original. each singer have their own style.
This is kind of Maiden's most Grunge / Soundgarden of songs.
In my opinion...on the Number of The Beast and Fear Of The Dark,Bruce has the best voice! oh...and Brave New World:P
best version ever
THE BEST
Man looking back, this is such a weird Maiden song, it doesn't feel like Iron Maiden at all
What is that supposed to mean? It's one of their first songs and they had a different singer at the time.
Ahhhh...nice to see lighters instead of phones.
Iron maiden eterno. IP THE IRONS.
the best performance of this song, i think.
first time that I see BD in concert with bermudas and tshirt
Ohhhhhhhh yeah

I've always liked the Bruce version of Paul's songs more. Phantom of the opera from live after death is one of my favs. I like it way more than the studio version.
No offense Bruce BUT i really would rather hear Paul Di'Anno sing this song & and also hear him on both of Paul's 1st 2 albums, i'm just sooo used to hearing Paul's voice on those 1st 2 that nothing else belongs.
