    A company no one has heard of. A mere 30 day warranty. And a $500 price tag makes this a hard choice at this time. I DO want to believe but if a new company doesn't have enough confidence in their own product to offer a decent warranty it's hard to feel good about laying down the cash. Just because they can't wire a circuit board doesn't mean it's going to keep up with android and google changes over time. These issues are not a given and there is no indication they will continue to update the firmware as the world changes.

    Did you manage to get this tablet to work with the mini 3 pro?

    Discount code only seems to give $30 now. Maybe you didn't say enough nice things for them? Also, they won't ship to France so somewhat frustrating. I need to check on Mini 3 Pro compatibility first anyway. Nice review though. 👍

    My drone channel is only my hobby, I am not a pro, but I use an ipad air 2 and a 10 inch Ipad pro, better image size than my iphone 14 pro max. This screen looks useful to some. If I am in a scummy area, I have to be more discreet and just use my mobile and only take one drone with me. This was an Interesting, and useful product review. 👍

    hi mate. youre def right about this looking the part at jobs but at 500 bucks i just cant justify it as my eye sight is okay. i like the rc controller too but my 2s and classic 3 are n1 and i have a iphone 12 mini so terrible. will get an old ipad i think to use with them. Also, want to thank you for the sharpening advice when i saw your sunset video and commented. i now use -1 sharpening and -1 on noise reduction, then in davinci i no longer add some slight sharpening, I only add fine detail and some mid detail to tighten the pixels up. in my last cheese ball city videos i can tell a difference on the buildings looking more true to life. Will try -2 next as adding fine & mid detail also seems to increase sharpness effect a bit. so thanks loads mate.
    Are you getting the mini 4p and selling the mini 3? it's as we expected with the stacked sensor and full 360 obstacle avoidance. i think next year in jan or feb i'll buy it and get my mini 3 on ebay. i do too many sunset and twilight shooting to not, and we both passed on the air 3 too. And i crashed my mini 3 from not having side sensors so had to get a replacement, that's another reason for me to get the 4.

    • @Ian.A.Anderson
      @Ian.A.Anderson  ปีที่แล้ว

      Regards the tablet, they seem to have sales on and there’s a discount code so you should be able to get it around £300/£350… but yeah I’d only recommend it professionally really. Plus there’s other things to buy!
      My favourite settings are -1 sharpness and 0 noise reduction. Some of the sunset shots with -1 noise reduction were iffy. But it’s a subjective call especially if you crush the blacks
      I’m likely to get the mini 4 pro, although I’ll be annoyed if it misses features and I won’t hold back in my review if they do. I’m keeping the mini 3 pro whilst I still have the care refresh. It’s announced on Monday, I’ll ring my local camera shop to see if they stock it immediately

      @@Ian.A.Anderson can i ask your advice too mate: considering the air 3 to mini 3 comparison videos on here show even during the day the air 3 detail is way better than the min 3, and obviously the low light will be improved, this makes sense that we upgrade from the min 3p seen we both passed on the air 3, but do you think this could be a replacement to our 2s? the comparison videos shows to beats the 2s, bar the true 20mp sensor for photos.
      i do the odd job and actually like the 2s over the my mavic 3 classic and the bigger plus is i prefer the 2s dlog-m and mini 3 de-cine over the full dlog on the mav, as i find it a real hassle to grade (even with the dji rec709 lut added), the half-way dlogs do 50% of the work for you out the drone so only needs little grading tweaks. do you find this makes life so much easier using the half logs over full dlog? i actually shoot in normal mode on the classic 3 and tweak it and always get better results compared to grading it's dlog as it has no in between log.
      It's a hard choice to make and wanted to ask which of the two would you get rid off. i just dont need two big drones now but i definitely need a 20mp drone as i do the odd roof survey and they need the 20mp photos to zoom in on and still have good detail, unlike the 12mp and fake 48mp sensor the mini 3 and 4 have - they break up loads zooming in. sorry for the long message but i plan on having the min 4 and just one big drone like you. but it's a tough one to pick.

      @@denaco The Air2s can look amazing but sometimes facing into the sun it exposes funny. I do think the Mavic 3 Classic is the more professional option, but I'm talking about TV hiring level. For roof surveys, property etc. the Air 2s is more than pro enough. So it just depends how far you want to take it really in terms of marketing yourself on a website etc.

      @denaco ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ian.A.Anderson yea i noticed the exposure being odd looking tbf.the 2s is more than enough for me, just wanted to try the mavic 3 series with the hasselblad camera. was just curious about it i guess. i'll make my mind up soon though. if you get the mini 4p in the next week or so let me know. we should definitely do that day out filming. we can test out our mini 4s out some where decent, autumn is here so forests look great all brown

    When I bought my 'DJI Mavic 3 Pro' drone, I could only get it with the rather mediocre DJI RC controller (it has a small 5.5 inch screen and only 700 nits). I was using it until I figured out how awesome it is to use the DJI Fly app and fly the drone with both a bigger screen (with a mini-tablet / tablet) and a screen with A LOT of nits. And ofc with the freedom to install whatever drone app you would like on your phone.
    And as I already have the 'Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5' foldable smartphone which also have a 1750 nits display, then I decided to buy the 'DJI RC-N1' controller and use my Z Fold5 with it. Had to buy a tablet holder for the RC-N1 controller though.
    I haven't regretted it a single second doing so yet. Having a screen with alot of nits is really helping when you are flying outside in bright sun.
    You will lose some few buttons and button customizations with the DJI RC-N1 over the DJI RC though. But I can live with that.

    • @Ian.A.Anderson
      @Ian.A.Anderson  ปีที่แล้ว

      TH-camrs always seem too positive about the RC to me. No mention of the dodgy signal!

    • @DroneEksplorer
      @DroneEksplorer ปีที่แล้ว

      The biggest disadvantage of the RC controller is the inability to load the popular application for flying in FCC mode. Flying in CE mode is unacceptable to many professional pilots. It is an open secret that even many people who co-created drone law in Europe fly under FCC... When co-creating good drone regulations, they had no influence on the fact that the regulations for obtaining CE marking are so defective in the case of drones(obtaining FCC is much more demanding but thanks to this they have a stronger signal). I agree with the owner of the channel that it's time for drone pilots to unite and fight Brussels (the British faction must fight directly with London after Brexit). Stop persecuting us, drone pilots! Revolution!!! He,he😀

    It seems that the tablet is lagging huge, 4 seconds, when is connected to AIR 3 and RC N2, with DLOG M, auto video buffer and COLOR correction enabled, at 60 fps recording.
    Impossible to be used.
    The CPU Mediatek is not keeping step with the last version of DJI FLY, is overheating.
    Also screen start dimming by itself after 20 minutes.
    So...how this was not seen?

    • @Ian.A.Anderson
      @Ian.A.Anderson  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve only used it with the RCN1 and Air 2S. That combination worked fine but it didn’t work for me with the Mini 3 Pro. That’s something I do report on the video. There are often Android/ DJI Fly app issues (coming from the DJI side with updates) so you could try older firmware versions- Gavin HR's channel has a useful download link list as well, as instructions.
      I haven't noticed any screen dimmning issues and I've used it easily over 20 mins. However your settings and setup are different. I don’t have the RC-N2 or Air 3 to try.
      I would message 'Hugerock Global' on Instagram- I’ve found them to be responsive with replies and they will contact other creators using your drone and controller. I'll also draw their attention to this comment to give them an opportunity to reply.
      I hope you can resolve the issues. Ian

      never tested with color assist enabled. Probably this is the root cause of your lagging and overheating problem as I used a lot the X7 with both Air3 and Mini4pro without a single issue. Of course having real time color grading on a relatively weak GPU is not so easy...

    • @Avoletta-qs6nf
      @Avoletta-qs6nf 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I confirm the issue is the realtime color correction. When enabled, the video starts lagging after 15minutes.
      I strongly suggest not using it but in any case it is a problem in DJI app development as it is queueing the video steam instead of just discarding frames not renederd in time.

    • @geodrone7643
      @geodrone7643 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Avoletta-qs6nf is not Dji fault, but the X7 CPU that is very weak. Is weaker than a 5 year OLD smartphone...
      Too bad, as screen is good... But this will limit the tablet usage as app is evolving and tablet is already obsolete.

    • @Avoletta-qs6nf
      @Avoletta-qs6nf 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@geodrone7643 I agree the HW is not the strongest, but since it is working perfectly for around 15 minutes I would say is more a lack of optimization in DJI app than a real device problem.
      From my tests the main issue is related to video cache on the app as by removing the option I can run for 40min continuously with color correction enabled without any lag.
      The fact this issue is related to memory management on DJI app is confirmed since by just closing and opening again the app immediately the lag disappears (so it is not due to overheating as well).
