If that is the way you had the antennae set, try doing it as per the instructions- keep the thick bits pointing perpendicular to the drone.

great video. waiting for my Air 3 to come to replace my Air 2. Maybe later on I can get the Mavic 3 Pro, but for now this seems to do everything I need.
Great video. I had a issue with the first Air3 I received with noise and chromatic aberration. I sent it back and they sent me a new one. After discussions with DJI they acknowledged there was a problem with noise which I am Glade that you were honest about. However, they did say they are working on it. With the latest firmware update there is some help but still not the best. However I downloaded Tooaz denoise and now the images are 100% better. Yes its a great drone. The battery life allows for so much more opportunities. Thank you again for an honest video.😊
I don't know if you've ever tried Lightroom's new AI denoise but that is another way to clear it up. It's magic.
Thanks for sharing your experience with your Air 3. Do you experience breathing exposure? Like pulsing on shadows or during low light conditions?
It is crap more so with 48meg images. 12meg not so much an issue but still happens. What pisses me off according to DJI the images are better than the Air2. I shoot bracketed to get as much dynamic range as possible. Been doing this for 15 years.

Happy to find your video, great cloud shots! Also you mentioned about X-S20. I'm looking for to buy Air 3 and X-S20 but if both tools I'm wondering if it's not better to take Mini 3 Pro and Fujifilm X-S20. Anyway two cameras and batteries are game changers I guess. The only better things about Mini 3 Pro are vertical video and size/weight.
Do you recommend paying extra 230 USD for RC controller?
The controller this comes with is fantastic, I'm not sure you'd need the extra. Mini 3 Pro + XS20 would be a fantastic little kit which would keep it really light but the Air 3 is so much more capable for not much more cost. Guess it depends on your budget/weight needs!

I’ve had a few drones that I rushed out and bought when I first got into dji, I’ve flown gliders and quad copters for years before I moved to dji.
As I got older I sold all my dji drones and moved onto other hobbies.
After about 5 years without flying I’ve decided to get back into the hobby,

I would say mavic 3 classic is pretty good too since they are having discount and have some few advantages compare to air 3
I have a DJI Phantom 4 Obsidian Edition. I have 4 batteries, quick charger, custom case . It’s in beautiful NEW condition. Love the video . Do I sell it for a smaller unit like the Air 3 ? It seems to have a lot of tech built in . Thoughts ? Thanks.
I have the air 2 still and flys perfect however it's a bit outdated now so I've ordered the air 3 and what I've seen on TH-cam I won't be disappointed looking forward to flying my air 3 I also have mini 3 pro thease days 99% of my filming is on my mini 3 pro and is a fantastic drone aswell however in windy conditions mini 3 pro struggles that's were air 3 comes in and with 3x lense would be perfect for me because I do a lot of construction videos also landscape photography and video so yeah the price is very attractive incentive also injoyed your video I always like to support small TH-camrs like yourself you got some mad shots mate cheers col 👍
The images were superb! what a fantastic video man! I'm in doubt between the classic and the air 3. The classic for the hasselblad camera and the air 3 for the 70mm lens... do you think the 3x zoom of the hasselblad camera is acceptable for use on social networks?
Certainly, but by the same reasoning both caneras on Air 3 are superb for Social Media. The Hasselblad is fantastic, and overkill if your not doing Pro work and even then only when demanded. See Air 3 reviews by Jake Sloan, Original Dobo and Quickass Tutorials- all using it professionally. I have Mavic 3 Pro, Mini 3 Pro, Air 2S abd Air 3. Thinking about selling the 3 Pro, even with the outstanding Hasselblad. Overkill. Plus Air 3 best flight times of any DJI Product to date, and faster Ascend/Descend at 10 m/s than any DJI Drone including Inspire 3. Air 3 is Goldilocks Perfect. Except photos. Great, but not ots best feature.

Hi. Im trying to go live on TH-cam. But even I have a strong wifi connection. I got the same error message every time. Is like mi devicr is sending more information than TH-cam can handle. I reduce the resolution, the frame rate and nothing. Another thing I don't understand is why only allow to set in 720 while the lower resolution of the camera is 1080p. I will appreciate any help. Thanks!
should always turn on the controller first when taking of let it hover for a couple of seconds to get home point done
Sold my mini 1 in februari and finally i replaced it this weekend with the air 3. What a machine , but will take some time to learn to trust the active track 😂
I just purchased the DJI Mini 4 Pro. What an amazing little drone. I really miss the zoom lens, to be precise that 70mm, It's my goto lens on my Canon R5. Shouldd I get the DJI Air 3 to compliment what I want to do via air cinematic?

If you are serious about mapping you need a "RTK" drone. So, it's either Mavic 3 RTK, or Mautrice 300/350 RTK. Mautrice is what professionals use (and it reflects on it's price)

Hi Mate, very interesting review.... I am in the situation where I hezitate between the Mavic 3 Pro and the Air 3. I am a photographer and would like to perform landscape photography with. my drone. So cropping a picture for Landscaping is not the point.... What is in your opinion the result of both.... does the pro is extremly superior? Thank you.... nice job....

That controller is optional. The base version comes with the regular controller without a screen
I just got my own Air 3 however I’ve been having issues with video transfer… I know it has quick transfer but whenever i try it to my smartphone it won’t transfer the videos/pictures and when I plug it into my macbook to do it that way it also isn’t working as simply as it did with my Air 2s. Can anyone please help
personally if i had the mavic 3 pro i wouldn't buy air 3 i didn't so i brought air 3 nice video mate cheers col
Great video your area for shots looks great. I haven’t had any issues with my air 3 until today, after the update the drone was landing about 15 feet from the home position after cancellation I tried to land in my hand and the drone took off away from me and crashed into some power wires. Hopefully this was a fluke.
Oof that's rough. I've never had luck landing directly on my hand tbh...

It's true that the sensor is smaller but it is also a better sensor which makes up for the slightly smaller size than it's predecessor.

Really split up between this and the Mini pro 3. It will be my first drone, I think it'll be overkill for me, but really like the 70mm zoom.
I had the same dilemma. Ended up getting the air 3. For a few hundred dollars more you get a lot more. I'm very happy with the air 3. The nighttime video looks amazing! The new better 04 connection makes me feel better and the 3x lens is awsome. You can really zoom in with it. Not to mention it's so much more stable on windy days + the obstacles avoidance is awsome. I got the regular controller.
This would be pretty amazing as a first drone. I say do it!
Pls don t take off from roof of vehicle as cover photo really upsets compass and can cause accidents cheers

Very impressed ĵwith DJI'S "ALL AROUND DRONE"; the Air 3 - if not that tagline. A few bug fixes and this will be THE tool for creators whose output is primarily TH-cam & social media. Air 3 is 80%+ Mavic 3 at 50% of the price. Wide Angle lens for Mavic 3 Pro cost me😢🎉 $179. Air 3? $59. Same story with ND Filters, batteries, etc.
Bickering! regarding sensor SIZE, while interesting, misses the primary reason DJI used a matched pair of sensors.
By doing so, both Air 3 cameras provide:
ALL camera shooting modes (except panorama), all color modes & all Focus Track modes on both cameras. ALL flight modes and autonomous features, Mastershots/Quickshots/ Hyperlapse and a brilliant implementation of portrait/vertical shooting work at 1x/3X. All we need is the 3X programmable in Waypoints!
Certainly not perfect. But for the TH-cam and Social media creator, show me a more "all around" capable drone. Go ahead. I'll wait 😂

Looking at getting into the drone world, I am a part time photographer, but these days more of a hobby rather than professional. Hard to justify paying 4.2k for the Mavic 3 Pro fly more when the Air 3 fly more is less than 2.4k. I doubt the Pro is a $1600+ better drone

No, it's way too heavy for a travel drone and the camera is not good enough for a pro drone. The AIR Series should be around 400-400g more than 700-800g

Sorry man, don't have much diference for the mini 4 pro. It's heavier biger makes more noise and the sensor it's the same. Ok you have a 70mm lense, but don't compensate. Air 3 costs 430€ more than the mini 4 pro who have the same technology. Make sense purchase the air 3s or air3 pro or maybe the air 4 when DJI put the 1 inch sensor, now it's a waste of money.
I agree. Not many differences im stuck between the air 3 and mini 4. So far im leaning towards the air 3 over the mini 4 because the extra lens and the bigger battery

The cameras on the air 3 actually have a triple lens.. better panning in video.. more stable platform. Both are good.. the air 3 is just better.. if/when you can fly it legally.

The sensor size isn’t a factor anymore. It’s got back facing two way etc. it’s like comparing 2 years ago tech to the future. The photos blow the mini series away and are mistaken for Mavic pro 3 even in night mode because the way the sensor is used
Dji is garbage. If you want to fly literally anywhere get an Autel.
Who is the air 3 for? Its for folks who cant afford the mavic 3 pro.
Entire europe has additional restrictions for drones over 900g(as well as for drones over 250g). So getting mavic classic (895g, or air 3 720g) can make a lot of sende over a pro with 950g!
