  • Suzuki GSX-8S review
    Hi there everyone! Today I bring you a very cool review, of a very, very anticipated bike: the brand new Suzuki GSX-8S. The competition in the entry level, mid-size naked bikes category is very fierce, with the MT-07 on one side, the Z650 on the other, and more recently the brand new Honda Hornet 750. Suzuki are now part of the game, and we will see if this motorcycle has what it takes to be a real contender !

    Very entertaining review. Love your enthusiasm and your level of knowledge. The only gripe (here we go) was that whilst blanking the speed, for obvious reasons, it meant I couldn't see the acceleration, especially when overtaking, which strangely you kept editing out. Love your empty roads and scenery. PS. you didn't mention the new KTM 790? Greetings from the UK. Vive la France!!

    The bikes that were on my interest list with approximately the same price entry point were: Triumph Trident 660, MT07, Hornet 750, z650, and the GSX-8S
    I ended up with the 8S one of the reasons was that at 6'1 I felt this was the bike that fitted me best size wise.
    Thanks for a fun and informative review! (I'm from Norway so your english is perfect for me ;) )

      Yeah I was surprised when I sat on the gsx8s and found it’s had an higher seat than the other bikes and I really like it. One of the reason I got it!

    Love my 8S! Great choice for those who want a more comfortable sporty bike that does very well in the city and highway. It’s fun in corners too,

      I’m in the process of purchasing one. I always go through the negative list first and the only things I could find on this bike was hard suspension for a naked urban bike. Hard seat. Low pegs for spirited riding. Too quiet. Do you think that’s fair?

    As for dubbing or doing a English language version, either way I'd view and be appreciative, merci !

    I had test rides on both hornet and gsx8s, I’m 6ft and gsx8s fits perfect, Honda has more top end power but little to choose between when sticking to speed limits. Suspension and brakes are adequate but back brake worked better on gsx8s, wind on helmet is clean with little to no buffeting at 70mph on both gsx8 for me.

      @HifeMan 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah good low and mid end power. You don’t even have to get on it to feel that torque and I love it!

    i rode the 8s and the mt 07 today and i will be buying the 8s. Has a smoother, refined feel in my oppinion and the stock quickshifter is a blast in the middle gears.

      @HifeMan 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The 8S transmission is just WAY smoother than my MT07 even when not using QS. It has a really positive feel too.

    Nice review! Your english is one of the best I´ve heard from French! Well done you! GSX 8S is such a great bike with great engine, suspension and specs. For me also much better looking than the new Hornet. You may also consider a Triumph Trident 660 and perhaps the new chinese made KTM 790 Duke as a competition for the Suzuki for more or less same price.

    Great review I like this bike Suzuki well done. Some say braided hoses don't work on a ABS system so a pointless needless expense.

    Good review and comparison. I'm looking forward to riding this and the Hornet. Will also give the GSX S750 a spin. Low tech but a few more ponies. Also agile and stable to ride. Unfair but also looking a a second hand 2020 Street Triple... Any thoughts on the GSX S750 or Street Triple. I mostly commute and occasional twisties.

      Yeah I had an MT07 and regretted selling it but didn’t wanna but another MT07 so I got the gsx8s and it feels so much more premium and refined. Totally worth the price but here where I am the gsx8s is only $600 more than the MT. Totally worth it!

    I wonder by having the air box under the seat if that takes some of the induction sound away. Apparently it’s the quietest of the competition and that matters I would think.

    I think the 75-85 horsepower market is rather new. There's not been much of anything occupying this space in recent decade that had good technology and capability. There's been stuff less powerful and stuff more powerful, but not exactly in this space.

    I am a 2011 GSX-R750 owner, so how about a 2025 GSX-S750 with the GSX-R750's 115HP engine slipper clutch adjustable-height foot pegs and lightweight aluminum frame, the 8R's Showa suspension, the 8S's TFT screen traction control and quick shifter, and the current GSX-S1000's front end pointy styling? There is no 2024 GSX-S750 this year and the rumor is that a revamp is in the works. All of these parts exist already, just need to cobble them together. Would make excellent use of the 750 L1 engine.

    The hornet does not have a quick shifter standard, so I believe. You can get one as an extra. The Suzuki, although more expensive does have a quick shifter standard. 😀.

    I think CB650R and 790 Duke (a new 95hp A2 version now) could be added to this class. The Tuono 660 is in a class of its own and like all Aprilias very high quality bikes.

    Suzuki make some great engines - does this new parallel twin mean that Suzuki ditched the 90deg V twin for their mid-range bike ? I love the nice clear dashboard,

    • @ShiteLines
      @ShiteLines ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They’re ditching the V all together, check out the new 800vstrom, it uses this engine and as you know the trusty vtwin they’ve used in everything from the SV to the VStrom for 25? Years is now retired for this engine

    In the USA this Suzuki is about $1000 less than the Mt-09. Would you still buy this bike instead of the Mt-09?

  • @naturalforlife6741
    @naturalforlife6741 ปีที่แล้ว

    The problem with the GSX-8 is the there isn't a nickels worth of difference of fun between it and the Hornet. The Hornet is $l000.00 less.

    La résurrection de Suzuki ? Un peu excessif non? Le réveil tout au plus. Si on regarde l'offre moto de chaque constructeur, c'est moitié moins qu'il y a 20 ans. Il n'y 'a plus que des roadsters ou des trails affreux. Suzuki n'est pas le seul a avoir baissé les bras, mais c'est vrai qu'il l'avait fait plus que d'autre. En tout cas, ton anglais est excellent, et la GSX en noir est "stunning" !

    Your on an English platform. Speak English. This isn't youtube france. Or youtube germany. Some people don't even put english subtitles on their videos. When they speak a foreign language....makes the video a complete waste. Very few people speak any other language besides English and Spanish in the USA
    Anyone that speaks German or French speaks English as well. But most people speak English only. Same as in england and ireland
