Look at all the wars started before 2016 then literally right after Trump left office lmao if that doesn't tell you something idk what will.
Just like Putin said "I'll wait until America has a "Weak" President before i attack again" and that's exactly what he did. Thankfully Trump gave Ukraine weapons before leaving office because Russia would've ran through Ukraine week one. And that wasn't the first time Putin has said and done that either.
Now we have a "President" selling foreign criminals US soil right next to our military base lmao

You ain't NEVER gotta feel bad dancing or nodding your head to that solo Stevie. The song is fucked up but that is one of the greatest solos ever recorded. Snooty, elitist, with their noses up in the air, sitting on their high horses dictating to the world what is or isn't allowed to be called Metal. You’re exactly right. The song is inspired by the movie Johnny Got His Gun based on the anti-war novel written by Dalton Trumbo in 1939. It’s about the horror of war as exemplified by the young devastatingly injured young man lying in the bed who lost all of limbs, his vision and hearing in a WWI battle. The doctors think him unaware but that’s not true. He’s aware of everything. An extraordinarily hard to read, excellent book and Dalton Trumbo was an extraordinary man.

The kind that would keep you up at night or make you explode if you didn't get them out. And we moshed and stood and banged our heads in time to the beat, so in essence, dancing in our own way. We were a pissed off generation. It's why as the years passed you saw gangster rappers and metalheads making music together. The things talked about may have been a little different but the raw aggression and passion was very much the same. As was the prolific lyrics. Thrash moves fast so it needed a ton of lyrics.

James said that he wrote this song after reading a book where the character went to war but stepped on a landmine and lost everything, his sight, his hearing, his arms and legs, his speech, and feels trapped inside his own body and just wants to die already, and he really related to this part of feeling trapped in his body with only bad things around you

This song almost has electricity when it begins to crescendo. Just an accumulation of lightning, fire, emotion and it becomes alive, like a dragon made out of those elements that you’re riding. It’s such a good ride. It’s really hard not to feel those lyrics and hear those drums and guitar go off and not just go along for the ride.

The song was inspired by an old book/movie called “Johnny Got His Gun” about a WW1 vet that gets shredded by an explosive cannon shell. He loses his arms and legs and most of his face and is kept alive, but wants to die rather than live on as on object of curiosity.
Metallica was so inspired by the movie for the writing of this song that they tracked down and bought the full movie rights to the film so they could use it extensively in the official video.

I used to listen to this song in locker-room before every game when played football in college.
