    it wasn't remastered. Freddie was the engineer on this song. His talents were far before his time. That panning of "easy come, easy go, little high, little low" was in the original release of the song.

    The video was posted on TH-cam in 2008. The song was released in 1975 where it hit #1 in the UK. It hit #1 in the US in the 90s when Waynes World featured it and it was heavy in the trailer for the movie. It hit the hot 100 again in 2018 when the movie Bohemian Rhapsody movie was released. • @lk-music
      @lk-music 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@jaydeneveleigh1062 Sure, Bohemian broadly means being unconventional, the song is about coming to terms with being different. Freddy kills a man, but that's metaphorical, he killed his old self. He needed to do that because he's been living a lie, the song is about coming out, going public about his sexuality. The middle operatic part is about how haters hate. The part after the biggest drop in rock history is about just not caring about what haters think.
      It's an anthem for anybody that gets persecuted just for being different.

      That's so true! I never thought about it like that before. Lots of songs from all kinds of artists come on the radio, in the mall, at the airport, etc. but it's always "Bhomenian Rhapsody" that everyone can't help but sing along with, usually out loud, no matter where they are. I love Queen and only wish that I had been able to see them in concert in person once in my life. Even just one line from one song would have been worth it.

    When Queen first released Bohemian Rhapsody it was unique for many reasons: it was different from any other rock song; it was longer than most radio stations liked a song to be; it was a combination of many musical 'types' . . . but it caught the Country's imagination and was a hit both sides of the Atlantic. The genius of this song is that it’s a rhapsody. It’s actually a rhapsody “A rhapsody in music is a one-movement work that is episodic yet integrated, free-flowing in structure, featuring a range of highly contrasted moods, colour, and tonality. An air of spontaneous inspiration and a sense of improvisation make it freer in form than a set of variations.” It’s generally only done in classical music. What most people don’t know about queen is the intense and high level of classical training of all its members. These guys really knew what they were doing.

    Masterclass. Masterpiece. This song will live on forever. I've been to concerts and no matter what genre music was headlining, if this song got started the whole audience would sing it and it was always so amazing, so powerful and you felt connected to everyone there. No hatred, racism, etc existed that whole time. The way it should be all the time.

    With rock music, you gotta appreciate the vocal prowess of the frontperson, almost as much as the lyrics.

  • @somniumrabidum

    I'll never forget hearing this song for the first time. I was a punk/metal head and never gave Queen a chance, and I'm sitting in my buddy's truck and he's got this song blaring.... and I'm sitting there, with that same face you had Stevie, wondering wtf I was actually listening to... and then BAM, the shit hits and I was hooked. Now, many many years later, every single note of this song hits hard, I've come to love it from start to finish. It's definitely one of those songs that gets better with every listen.
    Cool reaction bro, that was fun, I hope you'll keep trying new music (let's get to some Metal!! - maybe start off with some good intro hard-rock like Metallica "Sad but True")

    Also, Stevie, the best way to describe queen, is musical theatre, they took you on a journey, it was a bit weird, a bit random, but it was beautiful and genius, musical genius, they created a story within a song and within their concerts, they were referred to as "Stadium Rock" as they were a band that could encapsulate thousands of people and take them on a theatrical journey, aswell as being a fucking awesome band at the same time, some say Freddie Mercury was the best frontman of all time.
