People who dont know clocks always think that their clock is overwound. You cant overwind a clock or a pocketwatch. They were designed to be wound all the way. Never ever turn the minute hand backwards. If the clock is running to fast then in the back there is what is called a pendulum bob. Underneath it is a nut of some sort. I always tell people lower to slower. Only do that adjustments in small increments. When winding wind slow. If the clock needs serviced which is supposed to be done every 5 years or so because there is a click that catches the teeth on the winding arbor. If you go to fast it can break/slip and you will know this because you can get hurt. Good video though.
Thank you for this video. I inherited this clock and wasn’t sure how/when to wind it and was afraid of breaking it. Your video has been very helpful!
How do you wind the middle hole?
