How to make an old fashioned

An Old Fashion is a classic whiskey cocktail that is good in most situations. This video shows how I make a smoked old fashioned. I use orange bitters instead of an orange zest or twist.
Whiskeys are best for this drink, you can also use a bourbon. When mixing at home, I like to use less expensive whiskey's as it allows me to have more while saving my more expensive whiskeys for drinking on the rocks. But this drink does work well with more expensive whiskeys.
This one is made with regular Crown Royal. Do not make these with flavored whiskeys, especially flavored Crown Royal as it will be way too sweet (unless you like sweet drinks).
