Looks like the hotel is just beside busy street. How is soundproofing in the room? Not sure if the traffic noise is bad during evening.
We stayed in a club room on the top floor and didn’t hear a peep. We can’t comment on the lower levels but i would be surprised if there was a noise issue from road traffic.
Since you had a club room, there should have been no additional cost for breakfast. The club lounge should have been open all day for refreshments as well, just not alcohol until later in the day. Your video is well done.
The policy may have changed since our stay but breakfast wasn’t included with our club level access. Our room key also didn’t work on the lounge, but one of the staff let us in and checked us off. You might have better luck 🍀 thanks for watching and liking our video! 🤝
@@takeoffandwander I was going to say that Club level access always includes breakfast but then I remembered that everything was messed up with the virus and all businesses did what they wanted and used it as an excuse. I did just email them and they advised that the club level gives a choice of having breakfast in the club lounge or the main dining room. Thank you for clarifying.
@@RiverDanube we actually received a complimentary upgrade to the Club Level, we never disclose to hotel staff about our channel at check in. We’ve never received anything from any hotels in connection with our reviews.
Since we didn’t pay for the upgrade we weren’t too put out by not receiving a complimentary breakfast. 🥞
@@takeoffandwander That was a nice upgrade and explains the breakfast. I was very puzzled as we stay in club rooms when we can but they are getting out of reach these days. I can't believe how expensive it is to stay in Sydney, especially when Melbourne is much more reasonable.
If the Hotels knew how well you make your video's, I'm sure they would love to give you some perks.
Is it far to walk to Darling Harbour? Looking at going to restaurants at night.
Hi there! Its pretty easy to walk to Darling Harbour via the overpass. Chinatown is very close to this hotel, so will also be a convenient option. Since filming this video there’s been a significant demolition of one of the large shopping centres in Darling Harbour. There are still restaurants in that area but not as many as previous times until the construction is completed in a few years.
