@LutenistDeMari you would have a point if anyone were actually asking him to teach them. As it is, he's actually trolling the internet for people to teach.
The Fleta was a marvellous instrument no doubt and I know a lot of people don’t like lattice braced instruments but to me, I think the Smallman has a greater variety of tone colour just my opinion. He has been playing Smallman’s since the 70’s I think and I know that one of his Fleta’s came up for sale at auction some years ago unlikely he has one anymore.
Hey no tabs but if you read notation Boosey & Hawkes publish it as four dances from Terpsichore by Praetorius arranged for guitar J Williams. If you have Schribd it is on there too.
This sound quality seems bad at first but I like it. Something special about it. Helps being a world renowned guitarist haha
Thanks for posting Dude! Great Baroque'n'roll.
Williams is fond of warming up his concerts with these pieces.
P.S Managed to get this arrangement from Novello: great fun to play!
Love the first piece
The second one just blows my mind.
The best Fleta ever!!!
I have sheets, This is awesome version from Williams and good prezentation about Pretorius music. In sheets there is too Courante 2
@DeafFret I have John Williams' own arrangement of these....

Ahhh when John played a Fleta: imho better than the Smallman he has now: much more character. I wonder if he still has that Fleta?

I would love to find the tabs for this somewhere.
