As a photojournalist I shot the 105mm f2.5. Later on I owned this 85mm f1.8 D lens. I adapted to its slightly wider FOV and that extra bit of light was perfect for my low-light, high ISO shooting.
I guess it was also lighter and more nimble than the 105mm?
@@MarcoAries Not necessarily lighter that I recall, anyway...and chunkier...but the focus was very smooth and at 1.8 made for a very bright viewfinder.
I have mine coming in few days, excited to have this lens hope it wont dissapoint me lol

Is it hard to shoot this adapted manually to a Sony A7 series camera? On moving children?
It's easy to adapt it and use it on an a7, but the moving children part depends on how fast you are at focusing manually 😉 I did find it precise and the short focus throw can help. It's mostly a matter a skill, though.
