I read Sansa's interview long time ago.
She was very happy and felt like finally her hard days were over, when the directors told her that in season 5, she will be back in Winterfell.

Joffrey was a monster that didn't know what to do with his demons. He just lacked a lot of awareness and that made him easily controllable despite being sadistic. Ramsey knows exactly what he's capable of. I think that's what makes him so much more dangerous and awful

Baelish married Sansa to Ramsey to buy the Bolton's trust with the intention of going to Cersei and using her army to go back north to destroy the victor of the anticipated battle for Winterfell. Being named Warden of the North would mean he would be lord of that realm, but to convince the North to be loyal, he would likely take Sansa as his wife since she is that last known, living child of Eddard Stark and also, conveniently, is supposedly a spitting image of Cat, his childhood crush.

The horrific ending overshadows everything in this episode but that scene where Margaery is pleading with Tommen while he's looking around helplessly? Man oh man, that infuriates me to no end. Tommen is such a brilliant character because of how utterly incompetent he is. He's so worthless he makes you wish Joffrey was back, that's an accomplishment in itself. The contrast of the one king who'll kill you for looking at him the wrong way and the other who'll do nothing. The choice ends up being not that simple! If Tywin was around to groom him it probably would've been different. But stuck between an impulsive mother and the passion of the mob, he's nothing more than a prisoner with a crown. Tommen's a reminder that gentleness is an overvalued trait in the medieval ruler. The interactions between Cersei High Sparrow Tommen Margaery Olenna are some of the best parts of this season imo. High Sparrow in particular has some thought provoking dialogue.

Cersei really did put her sweet son in a very dangerous situation. I 100 percent agree Pudgy.
At the house of Black and white some seekers go there for the mercy of death. Thats what you are seeing, Pudgy. The people who are "faceless men" are not dead. It's good to also call Jaquen a man with no name Spartan, but faceless might be more accurate. They who train really must lose their whole self in order to be a vacant portal for channeling the power of the many faced God. That is so they can take on any new identity and completely inhabit it. Arya's training here is so good.
Ellaria is definitely not playing games. Those Sand snakes are ridiculous though.
Ramsay is purely diabolical. He is definitely worse than Joffrey because he gives no real f's. Where as Joffrey was still mostly a scared little boy leveraging his position. Ramsay had to come up on his own- and, like Dany- take what is "his". He earned his sadistic description every step of the way.
That moment with Sansa is so brutal and any person who goes through that is changed forever. I will ask though... Comparing that scene of young Cersei to Young Sansa... Do you all see any similarities? Am I the only one? To me Sansa was just as entitiled and nasty as Cersei but Cesei had the added bit of Arya energy in her too. Young Cersei is basically- to me- a personality blend of Sansa and Arya. Then all of the things that happened in life to shape her reality added to who she has become. Taking that all in... I bring it back to the Ramsay/Sansa moment there. That is the lens through which I see Sansa.

"We both peddle fantasies Brother Lancel. Mine just happen to be entertaining" - That's always been one of my favorite lines. LF on his 4d chess again, promised Roose an alliance against the Lannister Crown and promised Cersei the Lion will fly over Winterfell. If Boltons win he can revive the old North-Vale alliance to go against the Lannisters. If Stannis wins he can use the Crown to go against a weakened Stannis. Whoever takes the North, whether Bolton Stannis or Cersei, LF would be in a key position to make the next play. He's frontrunning like a mf, promising everything to everyone. Watching him be this manipulative for this long is as disgusting as it is impressive. But there's the saying about having your hands in too many jars. This can all blow up in his face.

  • @BhlackBishop
    @BhlackBishop ปีที่แล้ว +5

I hate Cersei too but ngl this was a brilliant move, but unlike Little finger she still doesn't understand the difference between tactics and strategy. You don't just make one move and stagnate, you need to know the next moves ahead and there needs to be a reason for every move. You should always have an answer to "and then what?". Best chess analogy i can think of is putting so much effort into killing an opponents Queen and then not knowing what to do next vs Killing an opponent's Queen which then draws out the piece guarding the King which then leads to a checkmate. Cersei's next move should've been to kill Lancel and figure out the High Sparrow was also a lair so she has him in her pocket but Cersei really is not as smart as she thinks she is.

You have to remember what Tywin told Cersei, "you think you're smarter that what you really are" and it's truly beginning to show.

Ramsay is worse than Joffrey, because Ramsay is actually capable at battle and such, he's basically what Joffrey thought he was.

If you read the books, you will hate Cersei even more. Each chapter is from the POV of different main characters. In the Cersei chapters you read her inner thought processes, and it is so infuriating. She constantly congratulates herself on how much smarter she is than everyone else and how no one can compete with her in The Game, all while making the stupidest decisions that anyone with a brain would see are going to come back and bite her on the A.

@@harsh_1910 Lady Olenna would be the best character in all GOT if she would be in almost every episode as cercei has been...
I heard that Pudgey said that people are telling them to like her, so I decided that it was a perfect reason to go to all comments that are saying good about her and say it isn't so. She, Joffrey and Alliser Thorne are my most hated characters in GOT. Why not Ramsey? He is smart. Smarter than other 3 and he is a serial killer actually. Not just pompous highborns who doesn't give rats tale for anyone except themselves. I go heavy on bad females, cause I know them too well. In real life even more than in fiction. They whitewashed Alicent in HOTD so much...

I think it is the first time show truly separates feom books...Sansa was never married to Ramsey and abused, in books he marries fake Arya Stark who is actually Sansa's childhood friend. Also Dorn is much more intresting in books with more plot and characters

Cercei and all lannisters redeeming quality, like i said in other comments, its that they are very good to their subjects.
I can give examples, like when cercei put a bounty on tyrion and people kept bringing her fake heads... she still paid them to encourage the search.
Everytime little finger farted they gave him a castle.. I could go on..

Good to their subjects? Naw, back during Joffrey & Marg’s wedding, Cersei told the staff to feed the leftovers to the dogs, instead of the poor, starving people in KL. Can’t speak for all Lannister’s but Cersei doesn’t care about the common people.

In defence of Theon - the show doesn't mirror how badly he was broken and tortured by Ramsay. I've found some description of him from the book: "Theon's physical appearance has changed extremely during his imprisonment at the Dreadfort, to the point that even his sister cannot recognize him: he looks like he has aged many years; has lost three stones (42 lbs.) in weight; his hair turned white and brittle; his skin turned pasty; many of his teeth have been broken or loosened, because Ramsay did not like his smiles; he horribly stinks; Ramsay has cut three of his fingers and four of his toes. As a result, Theon cannot chew solid food, cannot use a bow, and hobbles grotesquely. When Asha sees him, she thinks he is some toothless old man, thinner than a scarecrow, his face resembling a skull".
