Thanks for another video mate, 100% Agreed. I only use Amplitube 5 (not tonex). I am working for 1 year in a pack of presets. I will start to sharing them soon. I really tried to bring back some frequencies that are missing and to be close as possible to a real tube amp. I hope we can make a live session soon =p

about the noise while demoing the captures: i'm 100% with you
about the other aspects, I also agree with you, but I understand the capturing stuff is a different animal... and many many people seems to like it. but i'm with you, I do prefer the modelling approach to the capturing approach, but I guess it is what it is. that's why I ended up choosing the UAFX amps solution...
nonetheless, there's a way to work around it with Tonex, using it inside amplitube... you can disable the cab from the Tonex capture and use all the other stuff from amplitube.
You’re right my friend! And thanks for raising the UAD awareness! I use their plugins almost like my main platform. I haven’t tried their pedals yet, but they sound so good in the demos!! 🔥🔥 I just wish this technologies were easier to merge together. But, we’ll see, there’s a lot of good options nowadays honestly, ampsims have gotten a lot better in the past couple of years for sure! And have you tried to use third party free tonex models with Amplitube? I can’t get them in, I wonder if it’s only paid ones like Native instruments. Thanks for your comment my friend! You have a valid point here my friend. Not all the AmpliTube Amps are great, I use mostly 5 amps out of the AmpliTube ones. So for my use it’s kinda overloaded. But hey I sick to Helix the most of the time now, meanwhile I’ve checked the Kazrog stuff which kinda impressed me a lot lately. They have a boutique amp called airline, the jimmy page amp 1:1 and a Mesa Boogie type which Impressed me also for the clean channel.They are a notch above Neural and Helix in sound and feel of playing. I have to admit an AmpliTube 6 would be welcome here, but my hopes are limited due to the success of the Tone X platform. Greetings from Germany

I am a beginner on the e guitar, mainly looking for metal tones. I have a Katana MK II 50 amp. For recording and playing around with garage band I got the iRig HD X. Now I am so confused on what to use on iPhone: Tonex or Amplitube? What is the difference? I think the Amplitube iPhone version isn’t the same, right? I have an iMac but don’t want to play in the office… great videos btw!
Hi friend!! You can use either! The main difference is that tonex every sound is like a picture of a sound, that you can’t really tweak. But they sound really good. Amplitube is more of tweakers playground. Also maybe, tonex is easier to use and Amplitube is better to learn? I hope this helps my friend! 🙏🏼 and thanks for your nice comment!
Same noise is in Amplitube, if you don’t have the max 2 version.. but I really like Tonex in combo with Amplitube.

If you have TONEX max you can get so much out of the tone net section! My last TH-cam uploads are all made with TONEX amps.

@@Itsjorgelanzas I have Amplitube Max and the paid, but not MAX version of Tonex. and I JUST checked for you and I WAS easily able to load the captures I downloaded for free on ToneNet. As well as unofficial ones I downloaded and purchased OUTSIDE of the ikmultimedia store by tonejunkie.

Amped Roots also has the noise like this and also amplitube does the noise on unowned Amps etc if you don’t have max . That’s why I bought max pretty much immediately
I do believe the point was that the noise makes the “testing before purchasing” part too annoying.

If you have two computers and audio interfaces, you can capture amplitube with tonex. It works, I have done it. I would like to see IK make a pedal with Amplitube and Tonex.
The reason you hear the white noise is so someone can not capture that tonex tone for free. Within a half hour you could do that but with the noise....not going to happen.

I'm definitely with you in that if you've been spoiled by the Amplitube ecosystem, you wonder why you would bother with Tonex. I paired the Axe I/O interface one with Amplitube which allowed foot switching and Midi. So I was getting great live functionality too. I didn't really have a use for Tonex (even though I had Max). Once the new baby Tonex pedal came out, I had a reason, it fits in my pocket, I can grab a cab, and leave my interface and computer at home. In a studio environment, I really wouldn't commit to Tonex heavily despite the fact that some of these captures are unbelievably good. I do import some captures into Amplitube but I have to make peace with the fact that they are snapshots that you can't tweak much. The noise thing is not the way. Neural didn't do it that way and I can't wait to throw money at some of those collections.

I don't have a problem using the studio rats tonex amps (or other captures) inside amplitube so not sure why it isn't working for you

Absolutely no interest in tonex, despite how nice it can sound. I'd rather have a well modeled amp.
I’m in the same boat my friend. I want models. 🤣 feels weird to move a tube screamer looking knob and not hearing anything like what you expect.
The thing about tonex is that you think you're getting accessibility to all these real amps that other's have modeled of their own rigs via the tonex portal. The problem is that everyone's using different guitars, have differing ideas of whether the interface input should be cranked up or left at zero, have different monitor situations they're playing amplitube thru etc. There's so many variables in all that, that it can only get you close to an exact reproduction because of those variables. Ie. The Top Jimi EVH stuff he used for his VH 1st album tonex recreations sounds nothing like Ed's dimed marshall with variac. The idea was great but it's just not practical. I didn't see a way to put FX in the tonex chain either.
