    Thanks Again! Anytime I change the string I come back for a quick refresher course! ,I was hoping to find my previous posts to see when I changed it last but my comment is gone! I guess it was about 15 ft ago!😅 Have fun!

      lol, you would be correct. Don’t know why a comment would disappear, I’ve never had to remove any so far. I think we’re in for one more blast of the white stuff this Thursday/ Friday 12”-18”s is what they’re saying. Then maybe we can start to dry up a bit.

    Did you flip your blade cutter around? I did mine cause the blade kept the line too short to work with, in fact even at that I think the line still runs too short. I don't like having to bump the head assembly up against object while I'm cutting. I'm considering actually moving the gaurd back a few more inches to get longer line to work with... just haven't figured out how to rig it up just yet.

    • @meanderingyogi6562
      @meanderingyogi6562  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a fine idea, but watch not to do it to long. It's a motor to string thing. If you have to much line the motor at some point will not have enough power to turn the string properly and it will start wrapping the grass instead of cutting.. Just something to keep in mind, I'm sure you could probably get another inch or two. Best of luck, thanks for watching..!

      @garyr7027 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@meanderingyogi6562 right, not too long a line, takes away from the motor if I did. I figure about two inches back would suffice. I know what you mean about the line though, I once had a 2 cycle that wouldn't even start with the line on, but take the line off and it fired right up with no problems everytime. Obviously the thing lacked compression, and the line was too much drag on it. Amazing how much those lines pull down, and even more so for dual feed.

      @@meanderingyogi6562 I'll let you know as soon as I get the chance. If you're like me, you've discovered this same issue on this trimmer... line isn't long enough even though the trimmer itself is great.

    Great video buddy have a question I just did exactly like on the video but lines keeps breaking after a few seconds or one side breaks and stays inside, I have to take it all apart and re feed. Any ideas what could be causing this

    • @meanderingyogi6562
      @meanderingyogi6562  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Leo, I appreciate you watching. Unfortunately I can’t think of anything off the top of my head. There shouldn’t be anything inside the head that could cut it, unless it’s somehow being pinched against something once it starts spinning. Maybe give it another try going slow while paying close attention to anything that looks like it could do damage. I would look at mine for better ideas but I’m not at home right now. Check for defects in the casing too. That’s all I can suggest at the time.

      I watched a video regarding line. The person recommended placing line in a bucket of water to hydrate the line. Apparently the line sits on a shelf for months in a store, then time in a garage. It becomes brittle and easily breaks. The video was made by garden tol repair women and she seems to know her craft.

    Thank you so much! The directions in the manual are terrible. We can figure out how to land rockets by themselves but we can't figure out a better way to restring a trimmer.
