Holy shitski! You weren’t kidding when you said DEEP snow!❄️ I have the exact same snowblower and it outperforms for its size. It’s pretty obvious this isn’t your first rodeo using it in deep snow. Beats a shovel all the hell. 😂
lol, thanks for watching..!
Preciate you for this video
Thanks, appreciate you watching..!
Good job showing us the work it can do. Ariens is the tool , but with that much to do, free time gets used up in a day. I was wondering if you were able to use a higher gear at any point or would the volume be too overwhelming for the impeller? I had a plow on my Jeep CJ that did a great job .
You tugged a heart string with that one, love cj’s had five so far.. favorite was a 74cj 5 with a 360 I stuck in it.. anywho, it depends on the snow, the fluffier the faster.. I find third gear is about as fast as I go.. thanks for watching.!
How did these work out would you recommend them for gravel driveway
Yes, well worth it. The very reason I bought them was because of the gravel catching so badly. I installed them and never looked back, still on the machine with zero issues thus far.. Thanks for watching..!
THANK YOU
Thanks very professional and helpful
Thank you, and thanks for watching..!
This looks like a newer model trimmer than the older model one that I have. Are you able to load just 1 string and cut with it? I found that makes the battery last longer. With the older model you can load the two strings separately; hence, giving me the option to load and cut with just 1.
Never tried that, I think just running one string would work that lower bearing a bit too hard. Like running an unbalanced washing machine. All the best, and thanks for watching..
Thank you for sharing Nicole! The beds came out beautiful. We are excited to hear about the findings from your planting experiments!
Thanks for watching,we’re excited! We’re working on our licensing now to open up as an organic farm, called Fresh Off The Grid. We are also starting a new channel devoted exclusively to the growing dome. The channel is up and we’re working on an introduction video. Thanks for everything you’ve been great to work with.
@@meanderingyogi6562 That is so awesome! We just subscribed to the new channel. Best of luck on your new adventure. We cheering you on from Colorado 👏
I’ve had mine for almost 2 months , just trying to break it in ( 20 hours or 200 miles ) before winter so I can plow with it if needed . So far , about 14 hours and 70 miles , I’ve spent about half in low , half in high gear when I ride it ( all on road ) , just to use different r p m’s . So far , I love it , but it’s a beast weight wise and turning radius isn’t great as you stated . Once broke in , it will be used almost primarily in low gear and on my property ( hauling some limbs and grass and such ) . I’m sure it will last a long time as it will be maintained to the hilt .
Good luck getting it broke in on time. Took me almost a year lol. I could’ve did some local trails to speed up the process, but I’ve been pretty busy this year and had no reason to rush. I do plan on getting the two-up seat for the back so the wife and I can enjoy some of the trails here in Maine. Enjoy yours my friend, hope you get some good snow to play in. Thanks for watching..!
I live in Buffalo NY and that is typical and the hardest type of drifts to cut through . Similar to what the snow plows bury the end of your driveway with.Im updating from a troybuilt 2410 to a Ariens 28'' SHO this year. The troybuilt was absolutely worthless in deep frozen snow so hard i was walking on top of it with the snow blower unable to bite into anything. And i will 100% be getting a drift cutter .The troybuilt got the job done for over 90% of the snow we have been hit with but its a workout and time consuming,Thanks for the video
Absolutely, thanks for watching..! Good luck with the SHO, I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. I’m looking at some drift cutters myself, I’m sure they’ll come in handy..
Same here in Buffalo, TroyBilt 2410 not good at the end of the driveway. Just got the Ariens Deluxe 28 and I am happy.
I've got a 2023 1000 overland with over 1500 miles, no issues. Get video broski.
Damn, that’s a heck of a lot of trail riding.. appreciate the input, thanks for watching.!
The heat from the catalytic converters made riding mine almost unbearable. Got some team msc headers and a tune, completely different machine.
@shawndale1552 I’ve only taken it for two rides where I needed to be in high gear running around 35/40 mph. I noticed the heat and have heard others mention it. Not been a problem for me at low speed around the house so far.
I have upgraded mine so much it's not even close to a stock machine. Here's my list to make one perfect. Headers and duel exhaust upgrades then send them to jet hot coatings. They coat it, and it will never rust and cuts all Temps in half permanently. Thus increasing the life of your machine from heat soak. Tune, stage 3 clutch kit, stage 1 Hester Elka shocks. A must-have for this tippy bitch. 1inch wheel spacers help as well. I'm running a square tire setup 14×27×8 on 10 ply Mongrel off road radials. Great on and off pavement. If you do nothing else, do the shocks! Will make it a way safer machine broski.
@shawndale1552 that’s excellent, sounds like a beast ! Funny how life works, I’m pushing 60, thirty years ago I would’ve been spending every paycheck on upgrading and accessories. Now I’m content with just keeping things in good shape.. although as things need repair or replaced I always have to upgrade to something new & better. Appreciate the input, shocks probably will come first on my list..!
Roflmao!!!!! I'm really surprised you made it six months let alone a year
Glad I could give you a reason to laugh , thanks for watching..!
Two words... Drift cutters
Agreed, looked at them last year but didn’t pull the trigger..
@@meanderingyogi6562 We get massive drifts on my property here in New Hampshire, I installed the drift cutters on my Ariens 1128 and the game changed.
#1 6 feet tall never once had my bucket lock out due to my leg hitting it . #2 got the air seat love it . I agree with you the cab is paramount ! i got a grand L 3560 2023 edition , air seat , LA805 loader, 72" box blade , forks, heated mirrors , third function , two rear remotes , 64" front mount snowblower with MID PTO kit , full LED light conversion (work lights too) great tractor ! if i did it all over again i would have gotten the GrandL6060 just for the extra power
Wow nice! I’ve since realized the lock out only gets bumped when I have those protective chainsaw chaps on just too thick for the space. Never had an issue otherwise. I do however wish I’d done the air seat. Enjoy yours, sounds nice. At some point I’ll do a snow attachment. I have bought a LandPride land plane a couple months back, but haven’t had time to try it yet. Thanks for watching and best of luck with your new tractor..!
🙏 A great day to see a marvelous video and presented by Nicole, ( nice to see you Nicole) . Your hard work are seen through your excellent video. Well achieved. May it flourish to your expectations. All the best guys! Loads of love and blessings to both of you...from both of us here🙏
Loads of love & blessings headed back your way ! So good to hear from old friends, I hope you two are doing well. I’m always thinking about a trip back, no idea when yet, but I know it’s in my future..lol.. Much love and respect to you both…🕉🙏🏽🕉..
Thank you I learned a lot
Thanks for watching..!
Thanks for the review. Fellow Mainer here. I'm picking up mine tomorrow!
I truly wouldn’t think twice about getting it again, I’ve been using it for everything I can, and super satisfied..! Congrats on your purchase, hope you’re as pleased as I am..
How is it on the lawn? I need to snow blow areas in the grass to get to wood piles and for the dog
Works great but beware around the wood, those chips and sticks can be brutal on the sheer pins when frozen to the ground..!
@@meanderingyogi6562 ty I always pick up chips and sticks around the pile been thinking about another track drive but want to save money and try wheeled I snow blow the yard for the dog to. I am sure his pool when frozen will do a number on the sheet pins lol
lol, maybe..
How do u get it back in the middle after u take the center out when making it a monopod I can’t figure how to get it to go back in at all
Great video. You can unbolt the seat and put 2- or 4-inch spacers under the seat bolts and use longer bolts to rais yourself up 2 to 4". Easy to do as well.
Sounds like a simple solution, thanks for the tip. Hadn’t thought of looking into spacing underneath.. Thanks for watching..!
@@meanderingyogi6562 yessir. I'm getting a 3560 this week. Upgrading from the no cab L. Any dislikes?
Congratulations..! Absolutely not, although a wing window more forward in the cab would be a nice addition. I’ll not be going back to open station. Cab all the way..!
repeating 'yeah?' over and over is annoying and useless...
Duly noted.., thanks for watching..!
My gas mower blew up thinking about trying electric dewalt, ego, kobalt
Wondering if there’s a way to fix if won’t start? Called Greenworks they said electrics are non repairable…ideas please
Sorry for the delay, I just read this. I’ll have to take a peek at mine, but if the housing comes apart. Without it being plugged in you can pull it apart and check for loose / disconnected wires. Sometimes a soldered wire will break apart. This being especially possible on a machine that vibrates and bangs so much. I would start there and see if you find anything. Hope this helps and thanks for watching..
Battery operated saws are still loud! Maybe not AS loud; but still...
beautiful area, what city are you in?
Thanks, that video was taken while we were in Whiteville NC.. Thanks for watching..!
Your explanation of the Kobalt 40V system was tops! I've never saw ANY You Tube video explained more clearly and understandable as your video. GREAT JOB!!!
Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for watching..!
Thanks for including us girls that are watching your video. 💜
So very welcome..! Thanks for watching..!
Well, I've never made a video of it, but I use my old 1965 Ariens 10M4 Sno-Thro on my gravel driveway and it works just fine.
Thanks for sharing your stringing tips. Widows need a little help at times and not fast talkers.. Thanks again!
lol, glad to help.. thanks for watching..!
Great video really helped me understand the how too, being I haven't had one of these before. Really like your presentation in all your videos 😊😊
Thank you for your reply and kind words, glad it helped. Thanks for watching..!
I love mine also, I had 2.
Can you use a. 2.5 to a 50 interchangeable
Yes, if they are both 40v batteries. The AH numbers like 2.5, 5.0, 6.0 reference the time value the battery will last. Bigger the number = longer life. Thanks for watching..!
When charging if it turns red does it mean you need a new battery?
It may just be that the battery is too warm and needs to cool down a bit before charging..
I have to figure something out with my (recently purchased used) trimmer. That center blue ‘button’ is permanently pushed. So it doesn’t feed the string out. I wish I knew that before I bought it.
hay i like your video, very informative. i have a question i have a 40v lawnmower, but i see the have a 80v mower, would it be worth it to upgrade to a 80v mower?
I do not have a 80v, and I’ve never used one. I wouldn’t buy a 80v if I were going to replace the 40v. Simply because the 40v has done me an excellent service for 6 years now without a glitch. Thanks for watching..!
I know how to change it - and I have. It's still a pain to chain. You give some good tips, especially on the line to use. Tnx
Most welcome Curtis, thanks for watching..!
Thank you. The instruction manual wasn't very helpful. I finally figured it out but your instructions gave me confidence that I had it right.
Most excellent, glad I could help.. thanks for watching..!
I’ve discovered with my kobalt 40v self propelled mower , a 4ah lasts 10 minutes tops, needs 6ah
I’ve only used the 2.5 that came with the weed eater, and the 5.0 from the mower. My 2.5 would last 20 minutes at least. Sounds like the 4.0 is weak for some reason. I replaced a 5.0 with a 6.0 and wow it does make a difference. Thanks for watching..
I have one and the only issue I have with it is that there is no speed control for the tiller. I would like to have one or two slower speeds.
Yeah it would help if you could half throttle it somehow.. Thanks for watching..
just brought the all power APWC210 home. great chipper but after about 3 tanks of fuel I think the motors dead.
Definitely start contacting the company. I haven’t had to deal with them for anything so please feel free to advise us on how they handle your situation.. Hate to hear that, thanks for your reply & watching..
@@meanderingyogi6562 called customer service on Monday to start process. called this morning to make sure of potential progress. was told of 2 shops that would do warranty work. called the shops myself to find that they would not do this type of work. customer service had said they would contact me by or around noon, half an hour away. let's see what happens.
Mine lasted 4 years.
I know this video is old but it 100% made me want to buy it !
Thanks and thanks for watching, I still have it and it’s still my primary stand. It’s never let me down..!
Our son is a new homeowner. He took delivery of his new zero turn mower yesterday and he asked me what I thought he should get for a trimmer. I have been using the 24V Kobalt for over a year and it's great. Light weight, powerful and honestly, as this gentleman illustrates, pretty simple to reload. I have other Kobalt hand tools also so there are enough batteries and chargers around the place to keep everything in freshly charged batteries. I have a big Stihl Combi unit also but now defer to this machine . It just works great!
Thanks for the share and definitely hitting up Lowes to purchase one for my lawn that is straight weeds with some grass.
We’re doing the same thing again this year and it’s been working great. Tough as nails..!
Thank you!
Thanks for watching..!
Hi- Battery is less than 1 yr old. 1st time trying to charge Get 2 Flashing green- then Red flashing light. Any ideas?
That usually signifies the battery is a little to warm to charge, the charger will start with a couple green lights then it picks up on the warmth of the battery and starts flashing red to let you know it’s to warm to charge. Once the battery has sat for just a bit you can put it back in and it will charge. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching..!
battery should be stored at half charge . not fully charged.
Lithium batteries aren't dilithium crystals, they don't create power they consume it, they don't manufacture power they eat it. I had to replace my roomba battery 4 times because run time dropped from over hour+ to under hour. Roomba still going over 15 years old but batteries just don't last constant charge/recharge. Simply electric mowers will never out preform a gas mower
Valid point, I’ve been running three pieces of equipment for 6 years off the same three batteries it came with. That’s a ton of use especially when you consider the current property we’re mowing is ten miles of walking to complete it in one day. I’m finally going to replace one of the 5.0ah this year with a 6ah. The calculated savings from gas and maintenance well makes up for the cost of replacement. Thanks for watching.!
How many minutes of operation does a tank of fuel last?
How does it do in the rain, wind, and other elements? Also, does it get moldy easily?
If you pack it wet it can mold. Element wise, tough as nails! If mounted properly I’d do 70mph winds. But that would be extreme & dicey I’m sure.
