Btw the shops in old Delhi (Chandi Chawk) are some of the most expensive real estates in the world. those small small shops are worth million dollars. Exactly. Its a wholesale market... they trade in crores in a day. For my India dostos(friends): Why is it called a tuk-tuk? Thailand. The auto-rickshaw, called tuk-tuk (Thai: ตุ๊ก ๆ, pronounced [túk túk]) in Thailand, is a widely used form of urban transport in Bangkok and other Thai cities. The name is onomatopoeic, mimicking the sound of a small (often two-cycle) engine. Americans have adopted this way of describing the "Auto".

Enjoy your stay in India. Safe travels.
Btw the shops in old Delhi (Chandi Chawk) are some of the most expensive real estates in the world. those small small shops are worth million dollars. And the shopkeepers there are one of the richest. most of them are millionaires because products and spices everything is exported to the world, and distributed to most of India from there.
That's amazing! We had a feeling these shops were high value but didn't realize they were quite that expensive!
@@nicoleandmico Old Dehli are where people from small villages come to the city for work and throw up shakes as temporary places to stay while they work to send home money for their families some people really get the wrong impression about India by this.
go singapore hawker centre , cafes and resturants , singapore best country they have chinese , malay , indian , korean , japanese , western , italian food
Exactly. Its a wholesale market... they trade in crores in a day.
That's why many of them hate foreigners with camera... because many foreigners put up the shop names or area / locality up on social media and attracts lot of negative comments. Which in turn hampers their business...
These days the traders are disinterested in the foreign vloggers. A lot of negative publicity has pissed them off
I lost it when you guys walked into the Tim Hortons 😂 I'm a Canadian living in Texas and TIL there are more Timmies in India than in Texas... What the heeeeeeeck!!! Anyway thanks for the lovely video. Helpful for planning a trip. *Quickly adds Timmies to itinerary*
No way! I can’t believe Texas doesn’t have Tim’s 🥲 If you manage to get to the Timmie’s in New Delhi, enjoy a double double for us!!
In Delhi we call them batteries for some reason 😂😂😂
@@amandeep9930 what?
Nicole you are so patient and sweet, and Mico such a great sport with the picture taking. I found it to be a bit creepy especially when it was mostly men asking for it.
The video was so informative and fun to watch. Never saw the modern side of Delhi- loved it!
The shop moolchand parantha is also a famous place to eat paranthas . You just passed by it at around 10 min in the vlog.
Nicole's gives off such positive vibes and micois such a sweetheart. I absolutely loveeeeeeeeee you both
Thank you so much 😊😊

Feels weird.

7:48 that is not Indian architecture. those were built by foreign rulers whose ancestors came from Central Asia. Indian architecture is much more beautiful.

Loved it that you came to India, welcome but i request you to go to the beauty cities of India rather that these cities you should go to KERELA, GOA , HIMACHAL PRADESH , LEH AND LADAKH, JAIPUR , UDAIPUR , LAKSHYADWEEP ISLAND etc. places like this is the best vacation
And one more suggestion if going to a famous monument like The Taj Mahal so go early and do enjoy the sunrise.
Hope you will follow happy journey.
They should go to North East India instead of these no so fridnly tourist area u mentioned

that`s the beauty of India, you got what you want to see or enjoy, you got every experience, it totally depends on you, that is to you that you show both sides of Delhi, i saw many foreigners who just take the pledge to visit only worst part of India and getting views
i love this! My time in india was wonderful i loved the architecture, food and people
That's so awesome! We loved India too - such an incredible place!!
@@nicoleandmico it really is! Truly my favourite country I’ve backpacked!

15:08 The green and yellow three-wheelers are called "Auto". As in Uber Auto. or I need an auto to give me a ride. I will catch an auto there. How much for an auto to Red Fort? You can holler from the street "auto" instead of "Taxi" and they will stop.
I am glad you visited Cyber City but i am bummed that you didnt get to go to some of the less touristy but equally awesome places in Delhi..you didnt get to go to Lodhi Art District which n my opinion is the coolest part of Delhi you can visit...also there is Hauz Khas, Agrasen Ki Baoli, Qutub Minar etc, Delhi has so much to be explored but its okay...if you guys visit Delhi aain sometime in you life, you should ask the locals where they should visit that's not touristy and i assure you you will not be disappointed
We spent two weeks in Delhi so we saw many many more things than in this video 😊 we didn't see it all of course so thank you for your suggestions! When we come back we will certainly have lots more to do

Greetings you two! I have enjoyed following your adventures and I have a couple of questions regarding India and Sri Lanka. My wife and I are starting our adventures in July with a month each in Australia, Malasia, Sri Lanka, and India. I have a couple of questions regarding India and Sri Lanka.
1. Did you reserve all of your lodging in advance or were you able to reserve one city/town at a time?
2. You two seem to be fearless when it comes to eating street food, any stomach issues? Anything to avoid?
Thank you and safe travels!
Gary
The last thing you says about inequality is 100% right
Maybe some people got offended but this is reality no doubt things improved alot like millions of people's comes out from poverty every year but still need improvement
And like you visit gudgaon , Chandni chowk if you visit 5 or 6 yrs before you saw unplanned and polluted places
So things is improved afte 5 yrs many things will change but still we need to do lot of work
Since you are in India for several months, hope you have plans for visiting few of the marvelous temples across India especially in Karnataka n Tamilnadu to capture the history
82 days and I'll be going to India. I 'am excited and I wait for it.
So exiting! We hope you have an amazing time!

@@nicoleandmico There are tourist counters at Alleppey and Kumarakom where you may pre-book the houseboats. You can take a look at the various houseboats there, bargain with the operators and select the one that satisfies your preferences and budget!

Hey Guys, you could have visited better things in Delhi to be honest. Kindly let us know your plans so that we can recommend you the best places to see. Its unfortunate that you didn't see Akshardham.
The reason why you see so many Rangoli in front of shops and houses is because - We try to welcome the gods and goddesses to our shops and houses. if you travel to south India, ( Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh), you will see they make something like every morning.
Kindly let us the cities you are visiting.
Thanks and I hope you take a piece of India wherever yo go

Very nice video, thanks. As per Uber, did you get a SIM card in Delhi? Was it hassle-free?
Yes we got it right at the arrivals section of the airport. Pretty easy but you HAVE to count the change they give you. It's a big scam that they give you the wrong change and it happened to us! Luckily we were aware of it and asked them to give us the rest of the money.
@@nicoleandmico Thank you so much! Yes, I read about the scam and also conflicting reports about how straightforward or time-consuming it could be. All the best! Your videos make the outlook of exploring India a bit less daunting.
The famous shiva temple build in 7th century bredeshwara tanjaur temple in karnataka very nyc architecture u cant imagine
Just back from my afternnoon Tim Horton's coffee in Montreal. Dehli looks mindblowing.
it definitely blew our mind! So cool!
Did the coffee taste like Canadian Timmies coffee? When I visited Glasgow UK I was excited to find a Tim Hortons in the city centre but the coffee tasted completely different.
Modern infrastructure would definitely at glory to our country 🇮🇳 , Please come to Mumbai.
We went to Mumbai! Our video about Mumbai sightseeing just came out too!

The Red Fort is actually being restored from time to time, where artisans and construction engineers repair and refurbish the fort and the interior hallways to their ancient glory, to preserve an architectural monument. By the way, this fort is also the same place where the Prime Minister of India hoists the flag on every independence day in an official ceremony.
Love the vlogs by the way, hope you guys have a wonderful time in India.
