I ended up owing my video game rental store $156 in late fees. lol. They told me $40 and they’d call it a day. lol. They just wanted to buy a new copy cause I “lost” mine. lol. I ended up keeping it. I remember I was there right at open the day the game released and had to wait two hours for them to get the copy and get it into their little security box so it couldn’t be stolen before I could rent it. lol.
Technically, they did but it was only on the DS. NewLegacy did a stream over it a while back. Included: ~ Sting unintentionally talking to himself 😂😂😂 ~ Johnny acting as if he got shot down by LAX and Motor City Machine Guns XD ~ And my favorite: Curry Man saving The World from an alien invasion with a certain championship belt 😂😂😂😂😂 If only we had a sequel console game that came out during the Hogan-Bischoff Era.
Why does this Danger voice sound like a heavy Edge voice lmao Also nice touch that given Sonjay's tambourine had a God on it, we just had that festival in my place. Nice timing Denk.
Man this brought me back watching the old TNA wrestling shows every Thursday night. In the 2000’s. Great roster back then. I stopped watching TNA back in 2014 though.
@@tommydemise4077 Do you watch it on TNA+? Cause I was thinking about getting it and re watching the old stuff and then watch current to see where I left off. I just wish they had an app for it on the gaming consoles.
@@tommydemise4077do you have TNA+ to watch it and the old stuff I’m guessing you could watch? Because that’s what I’m thinking about doing. And is it worth it?
I remember playing this game so much I had the counter timing muscle memory basically perfect. I'd be ending every match still fully green because the CPU couldn't hit me with anything. Of course before that it felt like if I wasn't countering everything I'd be getting my a** kicked like nothing, so I just wish they made another one where there was better difficulty balancing
As someone who only started watching TNA this year (aside from watching the old 2010 episode that broke Spoony), it is really weird to see Eric Young presented as a joke character.
"Don't Fire Eric" was honestly kinda the best version of EY. He was so over at that point. If TNA had a mid-card title between the X-Division and World titles in 2007, it would've been his for sure. Between the PPV 6-Man Tag where he replaced Scott Hall to team with Nash & Joe, his TV feud with Kurt Angle, & his quasi-team with Sting, he was very close to being a real main eventer with that character.
Is it me or is it every time I see the fireman's carry reversal I just die laughing? Because they do not even wiggle free or anything, they just slide forward and neckbreaker lol That never gets old
I played this on the Wii lol, so I don't recall of being able to change his appearance, either I didn't pay attention or it just didn't exist on that platform and I missed out lmfao.
Yeah, it only existed on the Xbox 360 version. I had the PS2 version, so I didn't know about the creation suite until I saw newLegacy's playthrough lol. But on the flip side, I remember thinking the Suicide X outfit looked pretty cool as a kid
Same game engine. TNA was made by Midway's LA & San Diego Studios. When Midway went bankrupt, THQ bought the San Diego Studio & used it as the base on All-Stars to save time
It's a real shame this never got a follow up the game just needed a couple more match types and a few more wrestlers and it could've been a classic mechanically it's incredible
Seeing EY here and in this game. Dang the guy has gone a long way sense then. He's like a totally different person in TNA now than back here. It's crazy.

Yeah. TNA was made by Midway's LA & San Diego Studios. When Midway went bankrupt, THQ bought the San Diego Studio & all the information for the game came with it. WWE wanted more games & THQ basically had a finished game engine just sitting around, so they recycled it to make All-Stars

I worked for Midway in CA as a QA tester through a temp agency for a little over a month when this game was on the tail end of being completed. I remember a few overtime overnights playing through the story and once you beat it you just start all over and do it again. Most of the developers/animators etc. didn't know shit about wrestling nor did they care. I did get to meet Awesome Kong and Gail Kim when they came to the studio one day to see how the game was being developed. It was just them though no cameras, so looking back it's kind of weird they'd send talent and not record the experience.
When Eric Young first joined TNA, he was a member of Team Canada. Team Canada later merged into Jeff Jarrett's faction, Planet Jarrett. Jarrett then feuded with Sting, who attacked EY to get to Jarrett, which led to EY's fear of the dark & pyro. Team Canada would later lose a match where the losing team had to break up, which caused EY to think he was going to be fired from TNA.
