I personally dont care but hope you didnt keep any fish to eat. Only river in the entire state that has a do not eat anything advisory. Fish tested had 60x the safe limit of pcb. I flathead fish down river from the dam just got my son his first flathead a 40+ pound pig
Them signs dont stop people ive seen people at the dam keeping all kinds of fish and I've told them about the high level of pcb and they dont care. It took fish and boat 3 years to even put them signs up it use to just be a warning in the back of the rules and regulations book that came with fishing license.
@@pyrodave6407 I can't say I've never harvested fish out of there though in the past. I've been fishing that dam since I was 18. I am now 36. 2016 was the last time I harvested any fish out of there.
From my understanding its small mouth, striped and large mouth and all catfish that tested really high small mouth tested the highest Walleye, crappie, perch and bluegill some was above and some were safe but as high as the small mouth tested they had to ban from dam to the mouth of beaver in new castle. The worst fish came from above new castle but did get some that had high pcb around Sharon also but in Sharon the old GE/Westinghouse plant is why the river is screwed also
Try creek chubs or suckers at the outflow its like throwing candy to the fish. We've been getting flatheads on green sunfish and trout this year down around the bend with the big rock and down stream caught a few nice pike on bluegill. I do love fishing that river you never know what you will catch.
Great place to fish crappie fishing is amazing there
I was gonna watch this vid until you showed your Mohawk in slow motion now I’m gonna watch someone else fish the dam thanks
The stump feild is a good place to hit if you got a boat
