Extraordinary encounters can happen in the dry season! Very well documented Stu, just recently had an encounter in the late dry season in Serengeti, whereby we came upon an 8 mth old Leopard cub that was feeding on an adult male Caracal it's mother had (likely) killed as it proceeded to drag it's prey up a nearby tree. A once in a lifetime encounter!
This video needs to be condemned. Obviously, they scared the leopard off of the cheetah, which caused it to suffer considerably instead of being outright killed by the leopard. They were so desperate to get the shot that they interfered and caused the cheetah to suffer that much longer. There really needs to be something done about people interfering with nature for the sake of getting footage. They are causing animals, undo stress and are disrupting the natural order of things and encouraging others to do so as well. Absolutely disgusting, and nobody seems to be able to understand nature enough to read these signs clearly when people do stuff like this.

I’m 42 and I’ve been intently studying predator-prey situations since I was 6 years old. I know how these instances play out and can accurately read the signs.

Actually, they do. They eat any and all predators smaller than them and even some that are equally sized. I’ve seen leopards eat everything from Wildcats, to leopard cubs, to crocodiles.
