Nice complement to your session with Grant. The emphasis on hip action I find very helpful. You ALWAYS bring something helpful to the table Eric. much appreciated. Stay ell-Russ
Great content, thank you guys. As an amateur, the biggest problem I have with poor contact is lack of separation with the upper and lower body. if my hip turn matches my shoulder turn from whatever reason, let's say my mind is being lazy, i didn't stretch or warm up ,the contact / golf shot will be terrible,in so many differnt aspects, looks ,feel, and of course the outcome.
These two tips work! Thank you so much guys 👏 i'm a high handicapper & was struggling to stay behind ball with embarrassing flop shots far too often 🙈 The push forward of hip in downswing does not come easy to me but going to work hard on it. Love your videos Eric 👍
Thanks. Great stuff. I do wish you would discuss pressure/weight distribution as you cover these key concepts. You could turn your pelvis as shown, but your pressure or weight could be anywhere. At least mine can. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! That 'keeping the shirt button behind the hips' thought has really helped the consistency of my driver. By itself, it doesn't seem give me any more distance, but it allows me to use more width on the backswing with confidence and get more distance with that without huge slices and pushes. It's also solved an issue I had with rotating my shoulders too early.
By trying to hit up with the driver, sometimes I hit the ball really low on the face, which results in a low ball flight or topping it. Any suggestions for this?
Hey Chad! Darn---could just be too many variables for me to say for sure---would need to see your swing on video to know for sure without guessing too much. Make sure weight still getting to front foot is where I would start. Head BACK but HIPS FORWARD
Hey Walt! Yes Im in Bethlehem, PA for the summers June-Sept and Boca Raton, Fl for Oct-May. Don't have any in person lessons open at this time but if you email us at service@cogornogolf.com we can get you on a waiting list!
JT and Eric man these two are a great pair. Easy to understand discussion and chemistry. We need 18 holes round with commentary!!
Thank you!! That would be fun!

Thank you! Great points----hope this one helps!!
Great video, thank you.
It looks like JT is a genius and Eric is humble enough to recognise it.
Thank you :)

Love to hear that John! Appreciate your support!!
This worked like a gem. Would love to hear more about downswing sequencing and movements. I know it was touched on but more detail would be awesome
Thanks Vc....would love to do more moving forward!

Hey Marc! Good points!! Maybe we need to do a future video with more detail on that part....thanks for watching!
Great lesson gentlemen!
Thanks David!!
This video is great. But i don't think i want to add 50+ yards to my slice. I'm already in the next fairway as it is.
Lol fair!!
Man that is funny! Good one!

Love it!
Eric, what move or what causes someone to move their head and shoulders first. Does that start at setup?
In terms of downswing------not using lower body/weight shift correctly

Eric,
Are you from New Bethlehem Pa.? If so, do you give lessons somewhere in New Bethlehem?
How much do you charge?
Thank You, Walt

Does this method apply for hitting irons?
Some slight differences with driver vs iron here:

Great video , well explained and something to work on the next few range days.
Keep up the great work lads.
Appreciate it!! Hope it serves you well!
Great swing tip, technique, and conceptually instructive!

Shoudn't your lead heel be planted on backswing?
Hey David! Totally good to lift that heel!!
I can now be hitting 400+ yards?
That would be nice :)
Soooo you're saying I could hit my driver 58 yards!?!?!
Let's hope so :)
A lot of hot air for nothing. Spent way too much time teaching what not to do.
Thanks for the feedback Lisa---sorry about that!
You need some patience. The instructions here could last the rest of your golfing life.
There’s no quick fix for golf maybe go play pickle ball. 😂
