I've always found the confidence thing interesting. For some reason, the lack of confidence I felt always pushed me harder. I didn't believe I could achieve the things I wanted so I pushed myself to try to get a glimmer of evidence that maybe I could. Ultimately I didn't do good. Maybe I just lacked a little bit of delusional confidence. I feel as though the delusionally confident guys that don't make it are ignored in this discussion tho
There are too many qualities to keep track of when it comes to who makes it and who doesn't. Luck and financial situation always play a big part, too, but believing in yourself goes a long way!
Ben, delusional confidence is only helpful if it leads to you doing something to get better. I am sure that both of us know wrestlers whose delusional confidence will never meet reality because they do not put in the effort to back it up.
One of the worst they let into the mma cage. Leaving aside the match with Masvidal, the fact remains that the other matches do nothing but demonstrate his inadequacy in the cage with that embarrassing physique. I wonder how it was possible to make him fight against real "killers". They made him win a few matches against guys who were just starting out, 20 years younger than him, but when he found some street fighters they destroyed him. Imagine ASKREN vs POATAN ! Alex is a true fighter, not a simple street fighter like jorge! He can only play wrestling, like baby.
Love Mental Monday uploads on Handsome Tuesdays! Wise words as always Benjamin.

For number two, it sounds like delayed gratification, which studies have found to be a great indicator to one’s success
Love the shadow puppets
