Look forward to learning along with you guys. I have a ‘64 Scout 80 that I’m getting ready to bring home and start the process.
Matt Jackson nice! Right there with ya. Taking the body off was the most difficult part so far. Just make sure EVERTHING is disconnected lol. Have a buddy there to help you
Thanks for including us all in your journey!! Looking forward to watching the progress. Give Cooper a pat on the head for me! Darren in TX
Thanks Darren! Will do and appreciate you following along.
I am really looking forward to seeing how this turns out. I am doing the same thing, learning as I go. Good Luck!
Thanks, you too!
@@AlexMacDIY Did you need to brace the doors to do the rockers? I have seen videos where they say it is a must and then I have seen videos where they don't do it or even mention it. Also, how difficult was the welding? I am freaked out about that part.
love your work! please dont stop making videos of this scout, its helping me out so much
wade hey! ThAnks so much! I’ve been lagging on editing the next part but I think this just gave me the boost to do it.
I’ve got a 67 that I’m finishing up. You’re so lucky to have a large workspace with all the hoists. Looking forward to seeing the progress!
Have a 1962 Scout hope to get going by Spring!
Your Scout is coming along. If you are open to suggestions, a set of dana 44 differentials will make your Scout handle a brake with ease. You can adapt an F-350 van master cylinder. You won't need a power booster. Keep up the good work.
ENRIQUE PEREZ thanks for the suggestions! Always open to hearing them. I have a vacuum brake booster I’m using with a new master cylinder. I’m gonna just have her as a running/ reliable car and then do all those upgrades once I get her painted and on the road. I’m dying to enjoy the car again and adding to the already crazy long to do list would make this a project that would sink me
Nice video, I'm subscribed! I'm working on a 64 Scout 80 too. Same thing going on here, lot's of extra time due to the virus lol. I'm not doing nearly as thorough of a job that you are, but it's fun none the less! I have videos on my channel if you want to check them out as well. Cheers!
Thanks! Will do!
Looks promising. Is it staying an Idaho rig? Watching from Pocatello, ID.
James McLeister no Sir. This is now a South Florida Rig
No he got it from Idaho and moved it to his 80,000 sf shop in Florida lol. It should be super nice!
Mick Thomas haha I wish- I just rent the corner of a huge warehouse. But yes, hoping it’ll come out very nice :)
@@AlexMacDIY That's a good idea! I should do that as well!! Thanks for the clarification.
I'm building a 1966 scout 800. I've fount alot of parts on anythingscout.com
