    This was a delight! I would have had to disqualify myself because I recognized not Svend Petersen, but Toni Stewart! She was a champion on Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour.

    I've only seen a triple DQ one other time it was during the Gary Moore era: the contestant had made a recent appearance on the today show and 3 of the panelists saw it. Gary explained the contestant had told the producers about the today show appearance but they figured the panel didn't watch it.

      What would happen if all 4 panelists disqualified themselves?

    Need to find out the last episode of To Tell the Truth hosted by famous Alex Trebek, who is fighting Cancer while wondering what to do with his career at "Jeopardy!".

    Also that two stories game had a ridiculous outcome, LOL. The way it played out, it came off like he barely put effort into his answers for the Jewish superhero story, whereas with making toupees, he sounded so convincing. Then the audience member makes her pick just based totally on her own vibe - and lo and behold, she gets stupid lucky with it. 😵‍💫

    Never on "To Tell the Truth" there were three celebrities on he panel who had to face disqualifications as host Lynn Swann did this, as this were the case to be for this ever happening, and it once happened when Garry Moore was a host on "To Tell the Truth" during the 1970's when this happened until he decided to step down from his role as host on "To Tell the Truth."

    In spite of the three disqualifications, it might as well have been 50-50 for Ron Masak, as #1 didn't even really try IMO.

      I think the fact that run can be officially bought online makes it more legally wrong to upload any of that.

    The host is a disgrace to a classic gameshow. How can they have the legendary Kitty Carlyle on the same set with this doof? Shameful and downright wrong.

      What is your complaint about Lynn Swann?

    • @bluebear1985
      @bluebear1985 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well, regardless what you think about Lynn Swann, it wasn't his choice to be host. The original host of this incarnation of the show was Gordon Elliott, but he had to step down after only eight weeks due to a rather odd dispute he had with a former employer, so Swann, who was already a frequent panelist, was forced to take the hosting chair. However, he himself had to step away after fourteen weeks due to his busy schedule with ABC Sports of covering college football. As a result of this, the remainder of this version of the show was done by Alex Trebek (save for a couple of episodes by producer Mark Goodson), who was already busy with "Jeopardy" and "Classic Concentration" at the time.

      @bluebear1985 Not only that, but Trebek's wife went into labor at that time!!!!

      There was also technically another host at the start. On the day NBC was supposed to show the premiere episode with Gordon Elliott, they accidentally showed the pilot to the Eastern and Central time zones with host Richard Kline, who's probably best known for being on "Three's Company". I've seen it, and I can see why they opted to go with Elliott when it became a series.
