I love this 1975 version of “You Don’t Say.” Commercials on the show are retro, clear, and very memorable. RIP Tom Kennedy

Wow. This is brand new. Awesome. After its five month run, it was replaced with the moved-from-CBS "Edge of Night". "Ryan's Hope" and "Rhyme and Reason" also premiered on July 7, too.

Loretta Swit is the last survivor among the host & celebrities. She's still active at autograph shows.

Fun Fact: The late LMAD Announcer, Jay Stewart, was the original voice behind the Hawaiian Punch mascot, Punchy. They distorted and sped up his voice to give Punchy that memorable character.

He also appeared on Figure It Out in 1998. I think he's the only panelist on that version who has since passed on.

Nothing like an old game show. But even better is that we get to see those "cheesy" commercials, which I love. Still looking everywhere for the Timex commercial where the guy dresses in drag, cracking showcases displaying Timex watches. Nowhere to be found.

I'm assuming "You Don't Say" was from Bill Carruthers Company Presentation (Give 'n" Take, Second Chance, Press Your Luck). It could mean Fremantle could already own "You Don't Say".

It was disappointing to read that the celebrities were given key words in advance. I suppose they didn't want the celebrities to appear stupid. But at least the producers were honest enough to admit it.

I Liked this re-make and it deserved a longer run; however the original NBC version was the best with the original organ music after a clue was correctly answered. This remake was worked against the panel game shows of the day, especially "Match Game " so they added extra celebrities. Tom Kennedy said in an interview he liked the original version better ---this one just didn't work as well... ABC had no other place on its daytime schedule for "The Edge of Night" so they gave "you Don't Say ! " the ax. Sadly, we never saw the week with the kids that Tom plugged on the air in late November . Makes you wonder if there were unaired episodes that are sitting in ABC's vaults but I tend to think these shows were erased as was Tom's other show "Split Second" and the ABC Password.

Despite Tom’s interview You Don’t Say would have fared better at 2:30pm after The $10,000 Pyramid on ABC’s schedule back in 1975 and would have gotten at least 39 weeks.

The show is an engaging and fun to play game. Though many call the game a ripoff I think the show serves as a unique compliment to Password and Pyramid Pretty substantial lineup of guests to premiere. The commercials were a plus too. Compliments to the uploader.

This revival was crystal clear clean especially for the Monday, July 7, 1975 premiere! It's hard to believe that both NBC and ABC erased both versions of "You Don't Say!" I know some of the show's still exist somewhere. "You Don't Say!" first and originally ran on NBC daytime from 1963-1969 and ran in prime time as well. The short-lived ABC 1975 daytime revival ran for short time. The 1978-1979 syndicated TV revival of "You Don't Say!" was hosted by Jim Peck. Tom Kennedy was unable to host that version because he was hosting "Name That Tune" by then was titled "The $100,000 Name That Tune" for another Ralph. Ralph Edwards.
