Lynn Swann was a good host. I don't know why this version didn't last. This is better than the version that is on today. The segment with the audience member at the end was a nice touch also.
You knew what happened? You realized it went against CBS's "The Price is Right", which had been the #1 game show (@ the time) and still is to this day. They got TTTT's ratings.
I loved this version, especially Burton Richardson, the announcer. I actually liked Lynn Swann and never understood why he was replaced, although by an icon. This version was imminently better than the other one.
Lynn had a contract with ABC sports at the same time and it was a tough commitment on his part to do both shows (TTTT in Burbank and ABC in NY) so he decided to leave TTTT.
The 2nd group: This advocate if she is still around and ever watched an episode of "Two & a Half Men" must have written all kinds of letters if she thought "Married With Children" was trash. The awful thing is both men are whore-hounds living in a house with a young male child. He grows up to be just like them. Every main character in he show exhibits sexual tendencies out right. Amazing!
The set, hosts and casts had zero continuity. I know of no other show that had such radically different looks each passing year. Although Lynn seems like a delightful guy- he just doesn't belong hosting a game show.

I am glad that TTTT has made a reversion. I however, 💖 the older versions of TTTT. ✌

Lynn Swan's lisp is very pronounced, I wonder if anyone ever spoke to him about this so he could get it corrected.
