It's so nice watching some complete newcomers to the franchise trying to figure out what Stalker is all about. There's nothing like the utter joy of experiencing the Zone and its mysteries for the first time.
Although experiencing the Zone for the 100th time is still a blast. That's why Stalker is so unique and cherished.

@@CoinShy That's great! The original trilogy is definitely janky in a lot of aspects but if you can get through it, and approach it as the aging games they are, you will experience some of the best pieces of media ever made, in my opinion.

It's local postapocalypse. There is the zone (that allegedly slowly expands) around the old Chornobyl Power Plant, won't give you spoilers how it appeared, but the rest of the world is fine and exploiting the zone for the artifacts and some experiments.
Really appreciate the information great detail, I have never played it before so it’s great to hear from someone who has experience, thank you! Can’t wait for it!
@@CoinShy if you're into reading, initially there was a book Roadside Picnic by Strugatsky brothers, the developers took the setting ideas of the Zone out of it and applied to the location of real tragedy that happened some years after the book was written. There was also a soviet movie - Stalker. Again, slightly different idea but close vibe.
