Awesome video and rig dude. Proves it can be done with out spending loads of cash. Iv spent over £6k so far on mine. Absolutely love it and race every day.
Cool to see other people with the same idea. Bought each side on open boxes used on amazon for about $40 I already had an extra gaming chair. Could not stand being on the ground though. So did the same thing with finding some metal to make a frame then used the metal mounts from the seat frame and works like a charm. I highly recommend the stabilizer arms that connect the wheel arms to the bottom of the base. Once I installed those my rig feels as solid as a rock.
I bought the same Stand and modified the hell out of it, First it needeed bracing so of to Bunnings, Re-drilled shifter holder, so it goes lower, braced on both sides from the front of the pedal plate to side of stand below shifter, By the end it is now a complete rig with monitor stand and same as you a gmaing chair on the $89 "Rear Seat Stand Add-On Stand for Racing Wheel"
@@Wanted797 First i braced from the front of pedal plate to the adjustable upright, Now its longer to add tv mount, The Seat extention from eBay is $89
Nice one mate, i was rocking a similar set up with a 2nd hand g920 and one of those wheel stands which i then bolted to a 2nd hand bucket seat i bought using a base i made from scrap wood i had lying up the loft. I got my items from market place and gumtree as well.
I used this setup for 2 years and a month after this video RacGTing sent me one of their chairs for review. So I am now using that. The video is linked at the end.
Enjoy mate... I had a G29 less than a year ago. Great wheel for dipping your toes in. From there I went the csl dd 5nm and later when I wanted more, got the ali express PSU. Having a 3D printer can be good too if you're happy with budget mods
Yeah i made a sim rig out of wood cost me about 200 uk seat was 80 pound uk think its quite low mate maybe ok for f1 i like rally more so designed it round that got a bolt on flight stand quick release on it had Logitech npw got velocity race dd wheel now
It’s a MacBook Air with no fan. All it does is have a TH-cam video open that is paused while I look at live chat on the screen. It doesn’t even get warm.
Laptop on the carpet....dude lives on the edge.

the g29 is a very good beginer wheel bc even if you do not like simracing it is easy to resel it for about the same price
great video btw
Totally agree.

Nice work! Bracing was something I never thought of or have noticed until someone asked. I might change things soon though. Stay tuned 👀

Haha I love the DIY process! The first time I used a wheel (G27 I think) it was a wood frame.
Love your setup! Would love to see you use it on the next vid.

I actually forgot to mention the wheel mod I printed to have magnets on the shifters!
Joke's on you, in my devalued currency my energy bill alone costs thousands.
But seriously, nice video.
That sucks man I hope you can shop around (I do that regularly.)
Thank you!
Love the setup for sure, simple and effective

Ah that's awesome. I think my issue is the seat base being flat with the peddles higher, most cockpits for F1 have a angled up seat base.
Good for you man, your journey begins lol
Nice job, buddy it works
pls put something under laptop, keeping it on the carpet can not only damage it, but also its fire hazard

Well done!
How did you connect the g29 to ps5? Isnt it the ps5 is type c?
It has both a and c.
When you said $250 i was like man you got robbed lol. I thought usd
Hahahaha no. I always think my accent would give it away!
…. Full price these things here are $335 USD though but we include tax in our prices.
