I coach my 7 year old and he’s light years ahead due to everything I’ve learned from you. He Rakes and throws strikes with above average Velo. I watch and take notes on ALL of your videos. I wished I would’ve known you before I spent money going to TEX BB Ranch and Driveline. Great Places but I spent Thousands.
My favourite thing to do is listen to music while I am at the gym and visualize myself being successful in games and it helps push harder during my workouts.
Carter Chard-Hill I like when I’m pooping to really listen to music concentrate on what I’m doing zero out any noise and focus my mind on the prize my mission is to get the poop out of me and I’m not going to stop until I get it done that’s what you have to do to be successful on the toilet
I'm not in High School, a pitcher, or someone who plays in pick up games, I just like taking in the serenity of my front yard (I live in the country so it's peaceful) while throwing a Baseball at my makeshift strike zone (it's just an old broken coach in are yard and put up one of the cushions up and throw against that lol I can't afford a pitching net right now). It's very calming and satisfying to hit your spots. Although I miss my spots a lot and I'm a hot head lol even if I wasn't I imagine it'd be hard for most people to keep their cool if they kept missing, hopefully this will help. Like I said I'm not playing in any games or anything so I'm definitely wanting to improve my Accuracy over velocity so I won't get mad as much.
Great video. I have been focusing on mechanics for my son and yesterday I thought about how relaxed he is when shooting free throws. And it hit me he is in his head. So I took a different approach and then today ran across your video. Just more proof that this is more of the track. Thanks. Very helpful.
Really helpful got a really good understanding of were my mind needs to be when I’m pitching.my tryouts for high school baseball are tomorrow and this will help a lot
Aim small, Miss small is an archery term as well. I've pitched for a little over 10 years. Now I'm older and been shooting archery for a short while, getting my form and technique down and I use very small targets and about 60 to 70 feet; I do pretty well. The point is focus on your zone at which your aiming for; The small zone; inside, high, low, outside. You don't focus on the strike zone, you focus on that small zone Madden's talking about. Still enjoy pitching.
Hello, I would say you have help me out lot. This is my first year head coaching a 12u baseball team. I have watch alot for different thrown pitches. For my pitcher that I have. Very easy to show and teach them. Thank you.
Dude that LMV makes so much sense this dude at my school Noah Stewart is raw as all hell and as a sophomore he’s sitting 74mph but he’s got a ton of location and movement
I’ve always had a 12-6 curve ball that when I played little league I was unhittable, it broke from there head to the bottom of the zone, I was probably the best pitcher in my league. But that was when I was like 12 and the mound was close. Now I am 17 and have a not too impressive ~74 mph fast ball, a cutter (with really good movement), a not so good change, and the same 12-6 curve. But my curve has so much movement it’ll start at the top of the zone but break into the dirt infront of the plate, I am Throwing it with the same arm speed as ever other pitch, but I just can’t control it. Whenever I throw it higher it goes too high. Like I can’t find that sweet spot, so basically what could/should I do to get control of my curve again and get it back in the zone?
What I do when pitching and am really stressed out is first of all clothes my eyes for three seconds take two deep breaths then on the pitch completely imagine me throwing one right down the middle hold my breath through the pitch then release it idk if it will help for others but try it it helps for me
Yes, my son is starting to pitch on a more regular basis...he is coming from the side, sidearm, and he has done this since end of November 2017...His HS coach wanted him to work on it and he has picked up on it really well...however, his velocity is about 70 -73. Not bad because it has good movement, but what can he do to increase his velocity...he is 17 now and will be a senior in the fall. Thanks for your time...JP
My son is right handed and he has a problem throwing down and away (left side of the catcher) or high and tight (right and hi from the catcher). How can he correct this?
I’m 13 and had 12 strikeouts a couple of weeks ago, and I’m only a second year pitcher. I don’t necessarily have spots, and I throw 75 mph. What spots do I need? This is before watching this video btw
Can you please help me, I’m a pitcher at a Juco in Ohio. Our season starts March 2 and we have been in spring training the past three weeks and my changeup is missing high, what are some tips to releasing the changeup pitch
Quick question. What is a good brand of baseballs to use for pitching practice? I've got some old balls we use for hitting but they are to slick to use for any kind of ball controll
Nice video. Good pitching takes time. I have a soon to be 10 year old who is blessed with a live arm. But his accuracy needs work. What game plan do you recommend, day to day, week to week, season to season, to improve accuracy? Thanks,
As you progressed in your career what resources did you use to build mental focus/discipline? Books, drills, etc. My 12 yr old has above avg intellect & physical talent, but the repetitive nature needed for physical drills causes his mind to wander. Lost focus = poor form = inconsistent results. Thank you.
I need help to thro a curve ball I no how to grip and throw it but it doesn't curve at all I asked all my team and coaches that no and they said I was oding it right it just wont curve
Galactic_YT try the knuckle curve. It’s easier to learn for some and harder for others. Grip it the same, but bend your index finger so your knuckle is resting on the ball. Throw it the same. Expect your first few to fall short of your target.
When Greg Maddux explained it to me he used the word “repeatable”. So I now say repeatable. We are not English teachers. We’re pitchers. Did it confuse you?

You guys thought 🤣😂🤣😂😛🤣😂🤣😂
I can honestly say that this has helped me hit my cushion couch strike zone a lot better, my pitches are more accurate. Thank you.
Darion Thrush I thought I was the only person who practiced pitching against the couch cushion😂
I do it from time to time but I don't have enough room

Great Places but I spent Thousands.
Leave him alone before you completely burn him out. He is 7 FFS!
Lol yeah the kid probably don't like baseball
Yeah give him breaks often or ur gonna burn him out and make him hate it
My favourite thing to do is listen to music while I am at the gym and visualize myself being successful in games and it helps push harder during my workouts.
That is awesome! Keep up the great work! Love it!
Thanks!

Carter Chard-Hill im gonna try this.

Strong work coach. LMV is the ABC's of pitching.
👊😉
4:25 you missed the perfect time to say “we’re not shooting a gun but we’re firing a cannon” probably something Kent Murphy would say

I can pitch fast and put movement on my ball but I am effectively wild or close to that 60% mark
Focus on your lower body strength so you are able to control your whole movement better. Had kinda the same issues and that helped me a lot.
You help me pitch for little league #MLB thanks for the help
Stare directly at the spot you want to hit. Period. Always works.
I don't play anymore, but I was always wild high, esp in the 1st and 2nd inning which caused me to get in trouble early. Never really knew why.
You were probably rushing (arm is getting up late).
😃😃😃😃😃😃😄😄😄😁 I really needed this video!!!!!!!!
Dude that LMV makes so much sense this dude at my school Noah Stewart is raw as all hell and as a sophomore he’s sitting 74mph but he’s got a ton of location and movement
Austin Rude lol
Thank you so much, I'm a pitcher for my diamond Dogs and I reached 64 mph with my aim
Thank you. Great Video!
Really needed this last three out I walked so many ppl
Really enjoy your videos, aim small miss small is a great goal.
Dude this is so helpful what team do you play for in the MLB keep it up
For me my curveball is always perfect but then fastball goes outside like every time
we usually have 3 bullpens going on at the same time with a string we try to hit with 70% of our arm strength.. this is before actual practice starts
Nice! My friend created this thing called low in the zone. Not sure if he's still doing it but it was a similar idea. I like it
Thanks for the help keep up the vids :)
I am a little league pitch and ur videos help me alot thx
Thanks coach. I needed this, I'm not pitcher but I play outfield and 1st and this helped

wind up gives a lot of speed make him stretch and work on his shoulder muscles
How do I make myself noticed in div 1-2 baseball in australia????
You play in Australia and want to get noticed in the USA? Make a skills video and send it to the coaches at the schools you like
My son is right handed and he has a problem throwing down and away (left side of the catcher) or high and tight (right and hi from the catcher). How can he correct this?
Love this .
One really good practice is to put a weighted ball on a tee and try to pitch hard and accurately to knock it pff
My baseball coach played for the Mets in the 80s
That's awesome

Please reply, Thank You .
If you’re consistently missing high...
try moving your eyes down.
I’m 12 years old and I feel like it’s go late to start training and getting better but I’m below average in my small city do you think it’s to late
Kaid Visser no you’re only 12
Could you do 1 on pitchers in MLB that pitch slower like low 90s to high 80 fb and other slow pitches that got them to the majors.
Quick question. What is a good brand of baseballs to use for pitching practice? I've got some old balls we use for hitting but they are to slick to use for any kind of ball controll
