Does a two seam grip work as well? I am a pitcher and I usually throw 2 seam.
Well if you play shortstop or 3rd the ball is going to get the movement of a 2 seam , it works but a 4 seam grip is better

I have had the yips for the last 2 years. I use to throw upper 80’s and now I’m maybe upper 70’s. I play in a adult baseball league in my city and I had to move over to first because I kept throwing the ball in the ground from 3rd. I have been thinking it is 99% in my head but I saw the grip with the space between your palm. I’m curious to see if I do this and if it helps. *Thanks for the video and I hope I can beat this*. I love playing but I hate how I lost the easiest of fundamentals.

You literally just summed up me after COVID, it sucks cause you’re so used to having an accurate arm and all of a sudden it’s just gone. Been practicing for months and it’s better but still not as good
im a twelve year old playing baseball for the first time since tee ball so im not good at all and im on my journey so this helped me a lot.
I don't baseball, only ever played whiffleball when I was younger, but I've been wanting to throw more accurately for a while. I usually slam anything into the ground because I release way too late to get distance. This vid really helped since I know that at least it's a problem that can be fixed. Thanks man

With this and my shoulder is very tight and hurts when throwing what does that mean
Possibly your mechanics your using your shoulder instead of all your body and working only one muscle
Well you need to stretch and run before even throwing a baseball, I'm 14 playing with 18 year old dudes in my team , and all they do is stretch really good and run , also just dont throw from far away if your arm hurts , it takes alot for your arm not to hurt when you first start playing , took me couple years

@@joshuab1447 well I meant within reason, not way off but a foot or two away from their chest.
Definitely not. A pitcher who can throw 95 but only throws 50% strikes will not do well, but a pitcher who only throws 80 but can throw 90+% strikes with pinpoint accuracy will be extremely dominant

What I did to get a good arm is to run , and play long toss , but the important thing is run , just run alot and your arm will get better and last longer

I've been playing for 5 years, ive made all-stars 3 times. But for some reason Im trying out for middle school baseball for the first time and my mechanics are off. I sometimes dont throw over the top. Im inconsistent for no reason.

Patting your glove is not really a bad habit
Another key thing to remember is to NEVER workout with weights prior to throwing....you will look like the wild thang!
