Non of McDonald's burgers are "large" would have to be at least 1/4 pound to be considered large. Burgers are so easy to make and can make a lot more for the price. Its funny how we act like these fast food places are worth it. One could buy a lot more meat for that price and even buy a pound of grass fed for a price of one " big mac" which is only big compared to the SMALL. 😂
Food delivery apps are another big reason prices are getting out of control. Companies dont like selling you a $6 burger when you will happily pay $10+ tip and delivery fee to have it delivered. They want more of that extra money and will keep raising prices. Its going to keep going until 1 mcdouble is $30 or only $36.99 delivered! Woohoo 🎉
According to the McDonald's app, a Big Mac is currently CAD6.49 at my local Macca's, and 11.39 for a combo. The burger is arguably already overpriced. The$4.90 for (maybe) $.50 worth of fries and soda, definitely so. I basically only eat at these places anymore when there's a deal or I have a coupon. Value just isn't there, otherwise. For the same price as that McDonald's meal I can get a 14" 4 topping pizza and wash it down with my own $.50 can of pop. Or I could always cook myself something...nah.
These fast food companies have forgotton their purpose. The entire point of fast food was to be a cheaper faster, although unhealthier alternative. But now they're trying to charge as much as sit down resteraunts for low quality food Its hard to eat lunch for less than $10, and im really starting to lose my cool
McDonald’s has honestly just forgotten their place in the food market as the cheap option and starting to get a little too comfortable with jacking up the prices to casual dining prices, I’d rather go to a restaurant where I can pay $15 for a meal and actually get quality food. I don’t wanna pay $15 for a big Mac, with meat that is extremely processed, and probably costs a total of five cents to make McDonald’s is not a double digits price worthy company the only double digit in fine with is 10$ McDonald’s does not need to go higher than that. They honestly have enough locations that they will not suffer.
It's $16.89 where I live. What's crazy is just only 3 years ago I paid $18.83 for a big Mac meal and 1 cheese burger happy meal and 1 4pc nugget happy meal. I could get 3 meals for nearly the same price. It's now close to $40 after taxes in just 3 years. That's way too fast for inflation. It went up a few 25cents my entire life then after 3 years it increases two hundred million thousand to the power of a trillion%
It's at least $12 to $13 in Clearwater Florida. Chili's has "3 for Me" lunch combos starting at $10.99. Even with a tip, you're breaking even, and you're getting a much better meal.
A few months ago I went to McDonald’s & ordered a cheeseburger w/ Bacon, a small fry & a drink! 🍔🍟🥤All these items at one point were on the dollar menu & would all cost you no more than $4 to $5 tops! I tell you no lie, the McDonald’s employee said “That’ll be $11.40” or something like that, I just immediately pulled off with no explanation & went to get REAL food for the same price & got more food at that! McDonald’s betrayed its core customers when we needed them most! McDonald’s has market cap of $211 Billion at the time of this post! They also have an annual revenue of over $23 billion a year. They make enough money & have enough money! No need to be greedy because you have to pay your workers a livable wage who make you the money day & night! Smh
We’re complaining about the price at this McDonald’s location while the franchise owner is probably complaining about the crazy price of rent at his location.
C'mon, man! It's impossible for McDonald's to lower prices. It's Imperative that the company CEO continue to receive his yearly $11 million bucks in pay and encentives.
People can vote with their dollars. This is an opportunity for the smaller guy to step up and beat them on price and quality. Here in Asia McDs isn't cheap and isn't good. What we do have are many single shop operators who produce great food at a good cost.
The worst thing is it’s not even fast food anymore. I stopped going to there on my lunch breaks because even with a mobile order it takes them over 10 minutes to bring the food out like they just started making it. Meanwhile at chipotle I literally just pull up to the window and it’s already done.
I still wonder how anybody chooses Mcdonalds over Culver's in the midwest when they're the same price and one serves real food and the best fastfood burger by far I might add.
Price gouging by McDonald's. You can get an In-n-out double double meal for 9.00 and they pay their employees 20.00 per hour. All fresh food compared to that crap that McDonalds sells.
The interesting thing is ... There is a reasonable economics argument that the Big Mac tracks inflation relatively closely. I believe a super sized combo in 1994 was about 5 dollars. I was working there as a student in high school. With my gold McDs card the combo was 2.5 it's interesting to see the correlation between Big Mac meals and price of fuel per litre increases between 1994 and today.
2005 i was buying any combo at burger king with just 6.50.. If i brought 6.50 with me when i was a teenager, i knew i could get a combo of whatever i wanted and probably still have a qtr left or something..
Super Size Double Quarter Pounder combo was $5.75 all the way back in 2008. It was my go to order when I hadn't put anything in the crockpot before going to work.
lol, dude said he’s cool with 12 but 13 and 14 is crossing the line. 12 is way over the line. They went from the cheapest fast food restaurant to now a rip off. Same with Wendy’s. Popeyes the only one that hasn’t lost their mind.
it's been getting ridiculous and I live in an affluent area. When I use the app, the prices in my area are literally $2-$3 more expensive than 15 minutes down the same road into town. like Burger King sells slashes for $1.06 15 min away, but they're nearly $3 my way 😢
If folks with sit down jobs think working at McDonald's is easy, try it for a month . These workers deserve their higher wage. I constantly see cars around the building at my local McDonald's. If you don't like the price, cook at home. Let's not forget, when workers wages go up, which they always get the blame, the billionaires want to continue to live beyond excess so they won't take the hit.
Actually I thinks depends a lot on the local culture. I’m from Italy and I find McDonald’s to be quite expensive (A BigMc Combo is around 9€) compared to other smaller stores that are not fast food. Moreover when you go to McDonald’s you have to basically clean your table once you leave and therefore they are not offering any other service beside cooking the food for you.
There's a solution to these high prices. Don't eat there. If enough people avoid a $17.00 Big Mac, McDonald's will be forced to lower the prices in order to bring back customers. Hopefully, most of those customers will have a better appreciation of eating healthier food since leaving fast food and will decide to not come back period.
They've been steadily raising the prices and offering huge coupons on the app to try to push people over to their own ecosystem. I admit that I've fallen into the trap, 30% off coupons every time I go get a couple burgers does help a lot.
Totally agree that (at least for me) I subconscious start thinking of what I could get from an actual restaurant for let's say $20...you could go to Pf Chang's and for $20+- could get a DELICIOUS entree(s)...or for a dollar or two cheaper ($12+-) you could grab a In-n-out double double cheeseburger combo...idk, that's just how I look at it as well 💁
it’s not really overpriced. if you go to a “normal” restaurant for a burger with fries and 0,5l of coke you’ll pay like 35€ (at least in my country…). and believe me it wouldn’t taste better than mcdonald’s or be any bigger
i stopped going to mcdonalds over a year ago. they jacked their prices up so damn quick. cost is going up, but not so much for them. less people are eating there yet their profits went thru the roof.
Dude 12 dollars is ridiculous for a combo. 8 dollars is where I'd like to see a good burger combo. The sandwich maybe 7 alone. These prices are ridiculous.

In Finland cheese burger used to be 1 euro, now it's 2 euro and McDonald's explained that its because the raw costs have increased by 10% but they added 100% to the price. Lmao
A lot of companies took advantage of the fact that Inflation took place…and they jacked up their prices to pretend like they were due to inflation. It’s why many corporations made record high profits over the past few years. They should be calling attention to them, as I can eat better, healthier food for less than McDonalds pricing now…from chains that were more expensive before those price changes.

The problem isn't workers being paid more, it's CEOs that have to penny pinch for another Yacht or upset they can't grow their stock portfolio (the tragedy of being rich boo hoo)
It’s an incentive to use the app. They have a perpetual “Deal” you can add to the order that takes 20% off the order. That kinda makes sense. For the general public, they just see and are forced to pay the marketed up prices
2 New York Strip Steaks $13/1.5# 3 potatoes, cream, butter (10#/$6) 1 bunch asparagus ($3/ ɓunch) Totals around $15.50 Turn on the grill, boil potatoes for mashed potatoes. Less time and money to cook than go to McDonald's. Far better quality.

Woohoo 🎉
I'd rather buy groceries than use a delivery app and spend $30 to deliver one combo.
They have been raising their prices like it's nobody's business.
$4.89 for medium fries? Are they insane? Better yet, who are the insane people willing to pay these prices for the worst quality fast food?
Remember that more than 50% of inflation as been cause by corporate greed
That's what all demonRats say..and its totally bs..
These fast food companies have forgotton their purpose. The entire point of fast food was to be a cheaper faster, although unhealthier alternative. But now they're trying to charge as much as sit down resteraunts for low quality food Its hard to eat lunch for less than $10, and im really starting to lose my cool
I can confirm that all of the local mcdonalds and burger kings in Hawaii are at those prices now and it's mind blowing
hawaii is just like a vegas or times square its a tourist attraction. prices are not reflective of the actual prices in the states
@@possiblyinsane6995 - The mcdonalds i went to in Vegas on the strip was much cheaper than the ones in Phonix, az area
Where do you live
It's at least $12 to $13 in Clearwater Florida. Chili's has "3 for Me" lunch combos starting at $10.99. Even with a tip, you're breaking even, and you're getting a much better meal.
A decade ago a McDonald's meal in Norway was $20...imagine now
they also make like 3x more money
@@Arnoud-nf6iz true
He owns it all
My husband got a simple cheeseburger with no pickles and a large coke and was $4.83. That is beyond ridiculous.
Today in the USA a Big Mac is $4.69. In the 1970’s a Big Mac cost $0.65 😂
Inflation ?
@@markdimaria6857 - bidenflation
The worst thing is it’s not even fast food anymore.
I stopped going to there on my lunch breaks because even with a mobile order it takes them over 10 minutes to bring the food out like they just started making it. Meanwhile at chipotle I literally just pull up to the window and it’s already done.
And do the penquin walk to the crapper, if you make it!!
Not fast, not cheap, not tasty, not healthy....what is McDonald's? 🤔😲
Went today and a McDouble was $2.99. I remember being able to buy 2 for that much a decade ago.
It's $6 dollars for a Mcdouble here in Northern Iowa
@@ItsaRomethingeveryday screw that. Let mcd go under
10 years ago it was like 7.99 in Canada , no reason for it to be basically double the price in that short time
Those prices are about right in New York City
Wow! Your buddy is making way too much money if he thinks paying 12 dollars for a value meal is OK.
Cut his pay in half and ask him again 😂
it's been getting ridiculous and I live in an affluent area. When I use the app, the prices in my area are literally $2-$3 more expensive than 15 minutes down the same road into town.
like Burger King sells slashes for $1.06 15 min away, but they're nearly $3 my way 😢
12 dollars is 100% not with it. Cut that price in half and maybe I'll go back
In the Canadian city I live in, The USD equivalent of a Big Mac meal is $7.63. So if that $16 price is real, that's pretty outrageous lol
Moreover when you go to McDonald’s you have to basically clean your table once you leave and therefore they are not offering any other service beside cooking the food for you.
thats 17 bucks including tax. this is outrageous. either the CEO is greedy more more money or the manager just want over price the products.
It’s probably an airport McDonalds
Or Alaska/Hawaii
@@Michael-zh3op OR it’s an airport McDonalds in Hawaii or Alaska… 🤔🤯🤔🤯
There's a solution to these high prices. Don't eat there. If enough people avoid a $17.00 Big Mac, McDonald's will be forced to lower the prices in order to bring back customers. Hopefully, most of those customers will have a better appreciation of eating healthier food since leaving fast food and will decide to not come back period.
Considering by me, I can get any size drink for $1 at McDonalds, if a Big Mac if $5 then are fries $10 based on that video? That's insane.
A large coke in Australia is $5.50…
A large drink in the US is twice that
@@KevinAndradeA I'm in the US. They advertise 1 dollar any size here.
@@mewtwomotherfuka I'm also in the US. It's not $1 anymore. $1.29
Where do you live lol. Any size drink is like 2 bucks where I am. Big Mac is about 6 bucks. The meal is like 9 bucks. Small fries are like 3.79.
Im in Australia and the prices are out of control. Not only have the prices gone up, the servings have shrunk.
They've been steadily raising the prices and offering huge coupons on the app to try to push people over to their own ecosystem.
I admit that I've fallen into the trap, 30% off coupons every time I go get a couple burgers does help a lot.
Quality of the food doesn’t justify the prices
I mean i got like 5 things for only $16
Stopped going to mcDonalds years ago. Food is too expensive , service is horrible and the quality is low grade! Did I mention it’s too expensive🤮
if u use the mobile app u can get insane deals
"deals" that's what they want you to believe ;)
No the 16 is just california prices. We overpay for everything.
Totally agree that (at least for me) I subconscious start thinking of what I could get from an actual restaurant for let's say $20...you could go to Pf Chang's and for $20+- could get a DELICIOUS entree(s)...or for a dollar or two cheaper ($12+-) you could grab a In-n-out double double cheeseburger combo...idk, that's just how I look at it as well 💁
All fast food has become way overpriced with the food being terrible and Customer service non existent....im done with them.
it’s not really overpriced. if you go to a “normal” restaurant for a burger with fries and 0,5l of coke you’ll pay like 35€ (at least in my country…). and believe me it wouldn’t taste better than mcdonald’s or be any bigger
35 euro ? Mc donnalds does not serve wagyu beef😂 35 euro burger is like roomservice price in 5 star hotel in Monaco.

8 dollars is where I'd like to see a good burger combo. The sandwich maybe 7 alone. These prices are ridiculous.
I don’t know a single thing from McDonald’s that is even edible but that’s just my opinion. Idk how they get away with it honestly.
It’s the convenience you are paying for, not the quality. The time utility provided from the “fast” food is why they can charge anything they want and still have repeating customers.
its sad when a pizza is cheaper than a burger and fries. I can get a large 2 topping pizza at little Caesars for 6.99
Corporate profits are through the roof.
That McDonald's probably in a Amusement Park or in some private venues
Meanwhile, minimum wage is still $7.25….
$15 in Ca, but everything cost triple here😢
These guys seem to be saying the high prices are okay! They obviously don't eat at McDonald's, so don't care.
McDonald’s is so outrageous in their pricing! Especially since it’s garbage!
I spent $40 on two meals at Burger King. I still don't what the hell happened

The prices are ridiculous at mcds they are acting like they are gourmet burgers
I remember when I was in high school, around 2007. A Big Mac meal was around $5. It's over double that now, wild.
When I was in high school in 1994, nearly all the value meals were $2.99 plus tax. It came out to $3.14 where I lived.
Yeah, prices for me crossed the line years ago. For junk food today’s prices are a big NO for me
large ice tea is 2.99. breakfast burrito made from fake egg and cheese whiz is $4. Never been back since. go home and cook real food and take it to go.
Stop going to McDonald's. Eat at home. Better, fresher food and cheaper.
I've never seen McDonald's that expensive. Must be a California thing.
In Finland cheese burger used to be 1 euro, now it's 2 euro and McDonald's explained that its because the raw costs have increased by 10% but they added 100% to the price. Lmao
Im not paying 10 dollars for big mac combo. Its McDonald’s not Five Guys.
At that point just go to chick fil a or a actual resturant and get a real burger for 2 or 3 bucks
It is cheaper to eat at Golden Corral buffet than your favorite fast food combo meal cost now.
That shits Hawaii prices for sure, I have family there and yup! That’s cheap
Don't worry about the price things have a way of working themselves out we think to much about nothing and get the world up set for nothing
Fun Fact: I'm residing in Tokyo Japan - often believed to be a 'rich' and 'expensive' place, and the Big Mac Combo right now costs only USD $5.66 - Yen is low compared to USD, but to bring the message across its still only ¥850 so for us it's like $8.50....Half or more than the US, unbelievable!!
The problem isn't workers being paid more, it's CEOs that have to penny pinch for another Yacht or upset they can't grow their stock portfolio (the tragedy of being rich boo hoo)
McDonald's patties are tiny and made of pink slime, yet I saw the price one morning and left.😂
In Luxembourg a BigMac Combo meal is about 19€ right now
I noticed McDonald being overprice a year ago and I stopped dining completely there, better food out there for the same price you have to pay.
How about rice from Wallmart?
It’s an incentive to use the app. They have a perpetual “Deal” you can add to the order that takes 20% off the order. That kinda makes sense. For the general public, they just see and are forced to pay the marketed up prices
Yes things do go up because of inflation it's also greed
2 New York Strip Steaks $13/1.5#
3 potatoes, cream, butter (10#/$6)
1 bunch asparagus ($3/ ɓunch)

Turn on the grill, boil potatoes for mashed potatoes. Less time and money to cook than go to McDonald's. Far better quality.
4 piece and small fries used to be $2. I stopped in a couple weeks ago, and now it’s $6.50! Their profit MARGIN is almost 60%. The highest in history. They’re going way above and beyond the normal rise of inflation and minimum wage.
